Found Brooke through Unilocal and had to see first hand if she was as good as advertised when I put up my Tahoe cabin for sale. Yes she is! I live 200 miles away from Tahoe and really could not do anything to assist in the sale. I left it all to Brooke and she did not disappoint. She arranged to have all the junk in the cabin and garage removed and had the place cleaned up for listing. I could not believe the listing pictures she sent me of the cabin after all the work was done. Everything looked so nice! She and her husband/​real estate partner, Chris gave good advice, guidance and had excellent knowlege of the market. Brooke assured me my cabin would sell quickly because of the neighborhood, lot size and the cabin itself. Of course she was right as I had an offer within one half day of listing.

I can’t really say enough good things about Brooke and Chris Hernandez. My husband and I were in a pretty unique situation and they made everything align perfectly. WOW!!! We bought a cabin!!! We have long dreamed of owning a second home in the South Lake Tahoe area and we just closed last weekend. Brooke not only made the experience quick, painless, and easy, she and her husband Chris, also a realtor, made it fun! They took their time with us, made us feel important, and above all, they were so on top of the paperwork and red tape, we never had a single worry. We felt well taken care of. Brooke is simply the best. She helped us buy our first home. Despite having a busy schedule we felt like we were her top priority at all times. She is clearly well respected, and part of the reason we were able to get our offer accepted is that she has a good working relationship with other local realtors. She was tactful and friendly and easy-​going. We truly enjoyed our days driving around looking at houses with her. She quickly figured out what kind of house we were interested in, and was never pushy about wanting us to put in offers on houses. We discovered Brooke via Unilocal earlier this summer and could not agree more with all the glowing reviews. Brooke is an absolutely *amazing* realtor and we would highly recommend her to anyone considering buying a home in the South Lake Tahoe area! She has lived there her entire life so knows the South Lake area backwards and forwards. We loved getting the inside scoop on all of the little micro-​neighborhoods from her. She is incredibly responsive via email and phone which made her extremely easy to work with. She dropped everything to get on calls with my husband and I and to show us homes on the one weekend we were available to come up from the Bay Area this summer. She is used to working with non-​local clients and has some creative ways to give you a better feel of homes from afar, like taking extensive walk-​thru videos with her iphone with detailed commentary and using docusign for remote signatures and executions of contracts. She set up automatic email alerts for us whenever new listings came on the market that met our criteria (we were looking for walking distance to the beach, 3+ bedrooms, in our price range) — most of which could not be found online yet via the other standard websites.
She was especially valuable in shepherding us through the offer and negotiation process and did everything in her power to make our deal happen for us (which was challenging at times!). She knows the market so well — how the inventory changes throughout the year, how long properties typically sit, the pros and cons of being on the Nevada side vs the California side, etc. and had great insights and advice that we would have never known without her. She understood our financial constraints and never tried to move us out of our comfort zone from a budget perspective nor pushed back on any questions, proposals or counters we had for seller but did advise on potential risks /​benefits. I also appreciated how positive and confident she was throughout that we would find the home we were meant to be in even if it took a little while to find it.
Brooke definitely went above and beyond for us once we closed on our home — including meeting 3^rd parties at the house for appointments when we couldn’t be there. She also has an extensive network of professional contacts… appraisers, locksmiths, electricians, gardeners, plumbers, home inspectors, title companies, insurance companies, etc.
We seriously could not be happier with our new home and are so grateful for the service we got from Brooke. It was like working with a good friend! You cannot go wrong with her as your realtor.

Brooke is PHENOMENAL. I just recently closed on my dream cabin in Tahoe and am so grateful I found Brooke. I actually reached out to her based on her Unilocal reviews and there’s a reason she has so many glowing reviews on here. I’m absolutely convinced she’s the best in Tahoe. She’s smart, extremely responsive and was able to advise me beautifully through what turned out to be an extremely difficult and challenging deal (due to the seller).
A little about my story. I was lucky enough to find my dream cabin the first time I went out with Brooke. We acted quickly with an offer but then found myself in a competitive bidding war with multiple counter offers. She was meticulous, attentive and quick to act throughout the process. She provided me with the right level of guidance to ensure I would get the cabin without over paying.
Then a week before our scheduled closing date, the seller became unresponsive and started showing signs indicating he wanted to try and cancel the deal. Brooke navigated what turned out to be a very odd situation and made sure I was never in a position that could jeopardize losing the cabin. It could have been a very stressful situation, but it wasn’t because Brooke was such a top-​notch agent and worked around the clock to make sure I was taken care of and had nothing to worry about. I have 110% confidence in her abilities to not only navigate a deal that’s going well, but also one that has gone awry.
She’s also from Tahoe so she knows the area extremely well and has fantastic referrals for anything you might need — which became extremely important for me since I’m not from the area. Oh and did I mention that she just goes above and beyond for her clients? Even after closing she was managing some of the key repairs I needed done to the place, changing locks, etc.

After reading the great reviews on Unilocal, we chose Brooke as our buying agent in South Lake Tahoe. We had been planning a move to Tahoe and we needed a realtor who understood our preferences, needs and desires. Brooke filled the bill with her unique knowledge of the area around the lake. When using the Internet to search for properties you can find some wonderful looking homes in really undesirable areas if you are not familiar with the region. Not knowing particulars of the area, we relied on Brooke to guide us in our home search and quickly realized that she had already discounted many of the homes we found on the Internet due to various problems not discovered when using the web.
Brooke needs little time to discover what you really want and delivers the right properties to view. She sent videos to us that she took to give us a better feel for the properties. Our time was carefully utilized and never wasted. We found our potential new home quickly but then came the tricky part. The house was a short sale and Brooke warned us that they can be difficult to get done.
She guided us through the process and kept us informed and more importantly calm. Brooke informed of the progress daily even though some days nothing happened. She remained very positive and reassuring throughout the entire process and was able to get it done in our timeframe.
The day the sale closed, at my request, she met us at the house with a contractor. We wanted to get an estimate for some work before we moved into our new home. Her recommended contractors are fantastic. We met all the experts we needed who moved quickly to start our projects. We are very pleased with the work being done. I know that Brooke is very well respected by her clients, contractors and business associates. I have bought and sold a few properties and I can honestly say that Brooke is on my short list of people who understands what it means to work with commitment and integrity. Once you work with Brooke everything will fall neatly into place from start to finish.

I couldn’t agree more with the rest of these reviews. We recently closed on a house in the Tahoe Keys in August 2013. Brooke was very professional and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Since this was a vacation property we weren’t able to be present for much of the process. Brooke filled in for us as needed, going above and beyond to help ensure we had all the information we needed, keeping the process moving along smoothly.

We just closed yesterday on a condo that Brooke helped us get. We’ve purchased many properties over the years and have deal with a lot of realtors and we can’t say enough great things about her.
She was nice, smart, knew the local area like the back of her hand, was super professional and really went the extra mile for us. She gave us a true local’s viewpoint of different neighborhoods and was amazingly responsive to all our calls, emails and requests. You could tell she actually cared about finding the right place for us — not just any old place.

My wife and I started looking for a home up in the south lake tahoe area around the late summer of 2011. We had a rough start and we went through a few realtors before finally coming to Unilocal,which is how we stumbled upon Brooke and I am so thankful that we did. The main reason we started looking for another realtor was that we did not feel that we were really being taken care of. Maybe our purchase price might have been too low ($ 200k) to be given the same attention as those with more money to spend, but I never felt like the previous realtors really cared. Even though there were many houses out there in our price range we just did not seem to garner the same respect and attention that I imagine others in the $ 600k+ range would. Brooke did not care and she genuinely wanted to help us find a new place to enjoy.
Moving forward into new years of 2012 we had to put our house purchase on hold after I found out my company had declared bankruptcy. Brooke was very nice and just let us know that she would be more than happy to keep in touch and let us know how the market was doing while we waited to see how work would unfold. This to me was another testament to her character. Living in the bay area and having purchased homes there I can tell you that it is damn hard to find a realtor like her.
Fast forward again to fall of 2012 and we were on the hunt again. We contacted Brooke and that very same weekend she had cleared out her personal schedule and we resumed as if the eight months had never passed. We spent the next few months working with Brooke and looking at what seemed to be dozens of different houses. Then we finally found it! More accurately Brooke found it. This is where no amount of accolades could do her justice. It takes an incredible realtor/​person to be able to find a place that the clients would have otherwise passed over. Brooke new us that well and she asked that we just take a look if anything about the house seemed appealing. It was near the end of the day and we had seen so many houses, but we decided to go take a look. She was absolutely spot on and we immediately fell in the love with the house and the area. The house was a perfect blend of what we were looking for and something that you could only really see in person.
In my experience this is usually where things go into an auto-​pilot like mode. You have the standard inspections, back and forth with the bank, etc… We were on a very tight schedule from the seller (bank owned) and needless to say we had several occasions of heart burn and frustration with the seller and our own lender. Brooke knew what to do immediately and worked with us to expedite and remediate some of the issues. A realtor ant-​acid of sorts.
Bottom line is this: If you are looking for a place up in South Lake and you want someone that is going to take your likes and opinion into account, someone who will work with you when things get frustrating and tough and someone that knows the area like she grew up there (she did btw) then I could not recommend Brooke more.

My husband and I had been considering purchasing a home in South Lake Tahoe for a couple years and after seeing the drop in prices, we decided this was the year. Brooke is everything I would want in a Realtor. She is knowledgeable about the area and thoroughly answered my many questions about the home buying process. The best things about working with Brooke is that she is a great listener, is never pushy, and always has a positive attitude. She heard what we were looking for in a home and only showed us ones that matched our criteria. She helped us see the pros and cons in each house and was willing to continue showing us as many as we needed to see until we found the one just right for us. When we found the one, the sale went through quickly thanks to Brooke being so on top of it. If we had to do any waiting, it was only on the other party to get back to us.

The Best Realtor EVER. My husband and I were looking to buy a house in Nevada and looked for a Realtor that would be helpful for 6 months. We went to a couple offices, but they just didn’t show too much interest in showing us homes we might be interested in. We weren’t looking for an expensive home, just something affordable. What we ended up doing was signing up with several Realtors on the Internet to send us homes with our parameters.
HOWEVER after signing up with some of the Realties to get the MLS of homes on the market, ONE person showed more Interest to help us than all the others. That Person was Brooke Hernandez with CHASE INTERNATIONAL. She is the Consummate Realtor Professional, working hard to meet Your needs and expectations. She put us first when she was with us, and showed us numerous homes, (I thought we would NEVER find a home) until She found the perfect house for us (even though it was listed with another Realtor). We have never had someone work so hard on our behalf and kept us informed every step of the way. And this was NOT an easy purchase being a «short sale». Brooke does her job with integrity and honesty, giving 120 percent of herself. I think she works in her sleep and never really stops working.
