We found Garden Art Landscape & Design via Unilocal.Erik Friedman is the proprietor and is a hands-​on operator. We began by walking the yard and exchanging ideas on what we liked and the «park-​like» feel for my wife and I hoped to achieve with our ½ acre property. The property had been vacant for many years and the yard had the bones of what we thought could be wonderful. Erik built a lot of trust with us along the way as he promptly responded to calls and inquiries as they occurred throughout the project. His team was well mannered and kept the job site clean throughout. The end result is absolutely amazing. He came in on budget — out did competitors by leaps and bounds since. He also did the conceptual design at no charge. My wife, kid and dogs have nothing but fantastic things to say about Erik and the yard. Bocci, fire pit, lighted walk-​ways, stone work, river bed, trees, plants, irrigation.

We found Erik using Unilocal and some local contacts. We had him come over and look at our property last year to get a couple of ideas and a price range as we have never done any kind of landscaping project. Even though he knew we were not ready to start, Erik spent time walking around and showing us ideas, scenarios and solutions. He is very knowledgable. Erik listens, explains and most importantly he really gets it.
We committed to do the project this year and Erik just finished our project a couple of days ago. On time, on budget and we are delighted. All of our neighbors love it as well. He took our ideas and turned them into exactly what we had imagined. Every tree, rock, plant, bush, flower and shrub was placed with thought and care. He and his crew reworked the entire sprinkler system making it super efficient and easy to operate.
They handled everything from installing a new paver stone driveway and walk, dead tree and sod removal, sprinkler system rebuild to of course planting trees, flowers shrubs etc. We now have a yard that rivals anyone’s in the neighborhood. They handled it all with no problems or excuses.
The company’s name is exactly what they do. It is Garden Art!

I knew of Erik and Garden Art and when I met with him last summer, I decided to give him free reign in the planning, design and execution of my landscaping project. I knew I made the right decision because I was immediately impressed with his aesthetic sense and ability to choose plants that not only look amazing, but have thrived. I have a mix of trees, shrubs and perennials, boulders, some grass and bark. I am absolutely thrilled with the result. There are continual blooms, foliage of different colors as well as a drought tolerant plantings. I cannot believe how beautiful my yard is and what a joy it is to look at and live in. There is also a flagstone patio and landscape lighting that add to the ambiance. It was fun to hang out in the yard last summer, but even more enjoyable this year as the plants fill out and thrive. Erik is extremely responsive to any concerns and in fact, told me to call right away if I was worried about anything. He always comes to check if there is a concern. I could not recommend Erik and Garden Art more highly.

Garden Art Landscaping and Design is AMAZING! The owner really cares about the outcome and was always available throughout the entire process. When we had questions, they were immediately answered. When we wanted to change a couple of plans, we were accommodated. Their expertise and wisdom, and follow-​through was 100% spot on. Our front and backyard were magically transformed; the owner has an artistic eye and we cannot express in words how happy we are. I was referred to this company by a friend who loved their work. I was equally happy with the outcome. The owner returned my call promptly, which is always a good sign. He created a design that exceeded my expectations. Our backyard is truly gorgeous now. We feel like we are on vacation in our own yard. The owner even called back the next season to see how the plants were coming along. A couple died and he replaced them. I thought that was great because most Tahoe businesses don’t go that far and seem to care. I was very happy with the results.
