History

Established in 2010.

Genesis Caterings was inspired by Italian traditions. Chef Travis Overholt spent his internship studying in Italy. There, he learned the basics of Italia, the traditions of an Cucina Italiana. With fine attention to detail and the ability to customize any menu you would like for your next even, Genesis Caterings offers you tradition backed by educational training at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.

Ciao! My name is Travis Overholt. In my free time I love to ski, cook and hang out with my friends and family. But my overall passion is food. I knew that I wanted to be a chef when I was 9 years old, I was introduced to cooking at a young age and from that moment it has been an important part of my life. Cooking soothes the soul, it relaxes you, and its a great form of personal expression. Italian food was my favorite as a child/​teen: the flavors, textures, freshness and simple traditions that are expressed in complex dishes makes me want to learn more each and every day on how to master this cuisine.

During summer of 2008, I had the opportunity to study in Italy and work at a resort, so I jumped at the offer. In Italy, I got a first hand experience on the traditions of Italia.

My goal is simple: bring the tastes and traditions of Italia to your next event. WIth my attention to detail and my passion of food, I gaurantee you’ll love the food.
