UPDATE #2: We hired Scott a third time to do some more tile work for us. Not only did he do another excellent job, he even recommended a stair treatment that we would have never thought of and turned out looking amazing.

We love the tile work that Independent Tile did in our bathrooms! He did an excellent job of matching up all of the tile pieces to make not only a shower but a work of art. He offered great suggestions and Scott and coworkers were very professional. He explained and showed us all of the work that goes behind the tile (what we don’t see) that makes the tile free of mold or leaking. We are more than happy with the job done!

Independent Tile did a superb job with my shower. The workmanship was excellent and while I live out of the area, I was kept completely up to date with photos and contact to insure that I was always aware of what stages the remodel was in and the progress. Scott was polite, professional, responsible and courteous and extremely helpful with recommended other sub contractors I needed on the remodel and they were just as wonderful. I plan on using Independent Tile to refloor my home and another bathroom remodel and would ONLY use them. I highly recommend them and would encourage others to eliminate wasting their time on bids and have it done professionally by Independent and I found their pricing to be more than fair. Last fall I had Scott tile my kitchen floor and do a backsplash as well. His work is incredible. He is a perfectionist, meaning your tile will look fantastic and exactly as you envisioned.
When I bought the tile, which was supposed to look like slate, about 75% of the pieces looked nice to me. The rest had this strange «striped» look to it, and I didn’t want to have those pieces in the middle of the room. I showed this to him and he said he would use them under the applicances. I crossed my fingers and hoped he’d remember.
When I arrived after the job was done, I was estatic, the tile looked great and those ugly pieces were in fact used under the stove, fridge and dishwasher.
In planning the backsplash, Scott offered suggestions that were perfect and it came out better than I had planned. Any time I have a tiling project, I will call Scott!

Highly recommend Independent Tile and Stone. Scott, the owner, has tiled our three bathrooms and the back splash on kitchen remodel. Excellent work, timely and reasonable priced (we got three estimates and he was in the middle). On our recommendation he reworked a friends kitchen floor where the downsized their island. Work was perfect.
