Park Tahoe Inn

I stayed here this past week for four days three nights. I stayed in room 203 which has a view to heavenly mountains ski runs and gondola. I absolutely loved the view and the nearness to everything Starbucks, Jamba Juice, raleys, azul Latin kitchen and many more just across the street from me! Absolutely loved walking everywhere even with the three feet of snow we got Wednesday night. I’m taking a star away because everything is so plain and basic I was in a suite which was nothing special but payed double the price next time I will definitely go with a king bed room. Also, the showers sucked! The shower heads were old and water pressure was horrible so that was frustrating. I also didn’t get a welcome basket like other reviewers not a bid deal but I wanted to feel special too! Lol! All in all I will come back can’t beat the prices and location.

This is my fourth time staying at this hotel and I have no complaints. The room is nothing special, but comfy enough. Check in was convenient. I called to upgrade my room and the guy at the service desk said to wait to pay in person so I wouldn’t have to pay taxes for the upgrade. Pretty awesome. The mattresses are tempurpedic and are amazing. Unless you’re sore from snowboarding. This place will continue to be my hotel of choice every time I come here.

The rooms were decent, nice tempurpedic beds. Not the fanciest of places, but the guys at the front desk were very nice and helpful. And for price and location, it can’t be beat. Heavenly village is across the street, so it was nice to be able to walk to restraunts and shops, also walking distance to the casinos.

Great location and nice firm mattress if that is what you like. That’s about all I can say.
* The bathroom is too small for two people
* The walls are super thin. Bring ear plugs in case you have loud neighbors bring.
* The room heater was super loud and would wake us up every time it turned on.

The SO and I were making a trip to Tahoe so I could experience snow for the first time. On our way there, the SO would make comments like, «Darn all the places in Tahoe were booked so I guess we’ll be sleeping in the car!» Fortunately, he was able to book a night at Park Tahoe Inn and surprised me when we pulled into the parking lot of the cozy-​looking inn.
Located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, Park Tahoe Inn is an intimate place to stay compared to big names like Motel 6 etc. etc. We checked in easily… almost too easily. The front desk didn’t even ask for our ID and had already given us the keys and everything, which kinda concerned me. Anywho, it was finally time to check out the room!
The SO had done some research on this place before booking a room and read on Unilocal about guests receiving cute welcome baskets upon arrival. Sadly, we were without a basket of snacks and were slightly disappointed. :(The room itself was nice and clean and the winning factor for us here was the Tempur-​pedic bed! Like others have said here, the TV is the old boxy kind, but really, why watch TV when you could be exploring the town of Tahoe?
Another thing to note was that it was quite difficult finding outlets to plug in our phones. Not only were they located in totally unreachable places, they were far away from the bed so we couldn’t relax while using our phones #firstworldproblems lol
The bathroom was a little cramped but did its job fine. The shower was a tight squeeze as well and I noticed a little black mold in the grout and was skeeved out from it.
Overall, our stay at Park Tahoe Inn was comfortable and easy save for the outlets and bits of mold in the shower. For almost $ 300 a night (not sure if New Year’s weekend rate), we had a fine time, but realistically would probably not book here again because of the high rate. It IS, however, in a prime spot so there’s a reason for the prices: a block and a half away from Harrah’s Casino and a walk’s away from a majority of shopping places. Definitely stay for the convenience/​distance!

Cozy inn with excellent location right in the heart of Heavenly Village on Lake Tahoe Blvd. Convenient walk across the street to Raley’s supermarket, Starbucks, Jamba Juice and many shops and restaurants! Right near Heavenly Gondola.
Affordable rates, sometimes $ 57 on week days! Rooms are clean, comfy and come with a mini fridge, fee sample of Tom’s toothpaste and Axe men’s shampoo/​conditioner.

SUPER NICE staff. Me and my girlfriend had originally booked our stay at Roadway Inn through TripAdvisor, but for some reason the two had a miscommunication. We ended up with the wrong bed and wrong room! On top of that the staff at roadway inn was MEAN, RUDE, and raised his voice at us! Like BRUH. Learn how to handle customer situations please. Anyways went to Park Tahoe. Got helped by NEIL who took very good care of me and GF. Got us our room for a good price and that was that! EASY. SIMPLE. FAST. STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. Room was already heated, tempurpedic bed!, and CLEAN. The location is right in the middle of Heavenly. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would stay again.

Service was ok… beds were hard as a rock. Literally… Room was clean. Had to check out a day early because my daughter got super sick. Was kind of hoping they would refund me that night because it was something beyond my control but they don’t. In fact when I told them, the girl didn’t even react just said ok you’re checked out. Thought that was a little rude. Would I stay there again? No, the beds were horrible.

Can’t beat the price for the location! It wasn’t luxurious, but it was clean. The front desk person was friendly. Right there in the heart of everything.

I don’t usually feel compelled to write Unilocal reviews, but our stay at this place was too horrible not to mention. The outside of the building is VERY charming. But as soon as we stepped foot into the room, an entirely different story unfolded.
TONS of stains on the carpet, black mold in the bathroom, a non-​working refrigerator and a TV straight from the early 90s were just the start.
One of the things that sold us on the room initially was the tempurpedic mattress, which was great, until we found it to be covered with unlimited DISGUSTING stains. After showering/​getting ready for dinner our first night there, we looked at the bottom of our feet and they were BLACK from the bathroom floor and carpet.
Within 30 minutes of checking in, we were already calling other hotels in the area to get out.
Aside from the disgusting and unsanitary condition of the room, our overall experience was also less than pleasant. We arrived back at our room from the casinos at 2:15am to find that there was not a single parking spot available on the entire property, and that our room key had been deactivated. Thank goodness for the front desk being open ²⁴⁄₇.
Our key was reactivated by a young gentleman who was less than pleasant. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, considering that it was 2:15am on a Saturday and he was stuck in a hotel lobby. When I asked where we should be parking, as there was no street parking available either, he told us that our only option was to illegally park in one of the handicapped stalls on the property.
Do yourself a favor and steer completely clear of this place. Trust me, it’s worth the extra $ 50/​night or so to stay at one of the other hotels/​resorts in the area. We will be reporting the property to the health department today and we will NEVER be returning.

Best part was the Tempur-​Pedic bed.
Next best part — location! You can literally walk down the street to the public beach. The public beach was crowded, I think they let anyone in. Some people can really trash up the place unfortunately. But across the street and walking distance is yummy food and shopping. LOTS of good places to eat if you want to pound the pavement.
Not so good aspects about Park Inn Tahoe — stained carpet, stain on the comforter and the water temp in shower is going to give you a surprise if anyone else turns on water anywhere. Either arctic blast or hot lava, you’ll never know

I HATE this place! My family got a room and the bathroom was TINY! I couldn’t fit through the shower door unless I went sideways! I’ll admit I’m not a small guy, but I had to go sideways! That’s right, sideways!
The beds were small and the TV was the same type as the one at my daughter’s school and that TV doesn’t work anymore because it’s so old! My daughter was very itchy when she woke up which means there were bugs there. I recommend not coming here because it is absolutely torturous.

My wife and I just stayed here for her birthday. Paid for it via Expedia for around $ 90/​night. It is located across the street from a major shopping center and restaurants.
Check in was quick (enough) — the guy behind the counter was helping someone out who was giving him a hard time therefore it took about 10min for check in. However, once he helped us out it was less than 30 seconds. Parking is easy (parking pass provided).
The room was a nice sized room, non-​smoking, with a king sized bed (comfortable). Bathroom was nice and clean and the shower was a good size with good heat and water pressure.
Quiet room, no loud noises, nothing crazy at all.
Check out was about 20 seconds long and then we were out! 100% will stay here again!!!

Small inn on Lake Tahoe Blvd, conveniently located across the street from many shops and eateries. They are pet-​friendly (although they have no potty areas) & have very competitive rates (the cheapest in this area), but their parking lot is TINY & we had a horrible night’s sleep.
My husband & I stayed here for a night in May. For being so close to the main road, we heard minimal road noise from our room, but none of our ‘neighbors’ seemed to sleep! We were constantly waking up to people slamming doors & running up/​down the halls at all hours. This isn’t technically the inn’s fault so I’m not going to knock off any stars for this, but it was horrible. I would NOT recommend this place to people with young children/​pets or light sleepers.
They provide you with a small basket of snacks/​drinks in your room upon arrival, but we had no idea that these were complimentary (?!) as there was no memo or any mention of this upon check-​in. Most hotels will bill you for consuming items available in your room, so we didn’t risk it. If they were complimentary, it would’ve been nice to know.

Location, location, location. The hotel is situated in a prime location, just opposite to the Village. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, art galleries are just a stone’s throw away.
Our check in and check out process was smooth and quick. Plenty of parking space available. The room was simple and neat. Nothing fancy, but the facilities are well maintained.
When you are on a budget and looking for a decent place to stay in Tahoe, this is a great option. I’ll definitely consider staying here again, during my next visit to Tahoe.

$ 52/​night total for a Saturday night?
Relatively speaking, this is the best inexpensive inn/​motel in the area.
The location is super central. It’s a short walk to the casinos, the Château at the Village and the shops near the Marriott Grand Residences.
The beach is just a 12 minute walk away.
There is a Welcome Basket! (see my pic that I uploaded). Its not much but it’s much appreciated.
The bed is a CalKing (I believe) so there’s plenty of room to roam around. The mattress is more of the firm side which my lower back appreciates.
Guys from the front desk are nice.
Stay here and save your money for other things.

We stayed here for a bachelor party. The rooms were cramped but clean. It didn’t bother us too much as we only needed it for a short time. We spent most of the night out and came back to this place to sleep for a few hours before heading our own ways.
The rooms were surprisingly quiet compared to how close the hotel is to the main road. They did a good job with sealing up the room so that the noise is kept out. The price was a lot cheaper than the big hotels down the street and in a way this was perfect for what we were there for.
The parking lot didn’t have assigned parking and got full quick. I have a smaller car so it ended up being sandwiched between giant trucks and SUVs. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like anyone opened their door and dinged my car but I would be constantly worried about this as the parking slots are for compact vehicles and not fullsize SUVs/​Trucks.
The provided WIFI password didn’t work so we couldn’t connect to their router and had to use our own data on our phones when we were there. Kind of sucks that they charge a resort fee when the services don’t work! The tempurpedic bed was not very comfortable for me but that’s not my style of bed for sleeping so I cannot comment on it too much. Get the upstairs rooms as you can definitely hear people walking above you and it gets annoying if you don’t have earplugs. I ended up sleeping with my earbuds on from my phone (not plugged in, just to block noise)
Overall our stay was good as the rooms were clean, quiet, and affordable. The complimentary snacks was a real nice touch for us returning at 3 – 4 am. Free water and a few snacks really go a long way at that hour :)

Location, location, location! This is right in the middle of everything. Next best thing from staying at one of the casino hotels. Soon as we got there we parked and walked. Right across the street is Heavenly Village. Lots of stores and places to grab a beer, snack or chill.
As soon as we walked in our room there was a basket filled with free goodies! Bottle waters, Doritos, box juices, cookies it was really cute. Seriously who still gives out free stuff. Tempurpedic beds, very clean, fridge for our drinks, simple but comfy.
Came on Valentines Day they even had a cute area to sit by a fire pit. Didn’t have to worry about a cab or driving, had a great time good night sleep will definitely stay here again.

While spending a weekend in Lake Tahoe we chose this hotel for a few different reasons. The first was the fact that each room has Tempurpedic beds, the second reason is that it is centrally located near Heavenly Village, and the third is that it has a great courtyard area with a fire pit.
The staff here was incredibly polite and knowledgeable about the area. The room itself was comfortable but the layout was interesting. It was nice to receive a welcome basket and they had a lot of local area literature. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom was a bit cold because it was at the rear of the room. The shower pressure was a little low and the shower was an awkward shape.
In the end we enjoyed the stay here and we would stay here in the future.

When you stay here, you are at «Ground Zero» for Lake Tahoe. You are where all the action is, or just across the street from dozens of restaurants, bars, clubs, casinos, grocery stores, clothing stores, the lake, boating, kayaking, Does not get better than this location in Lake Tahoe – at least for warm weather activities. You can park the car once and not move it again until you are ready to leave – there is really nothing to drive to that is not in close walking distance. Upscale heavenly village is across the street.
We stayed here one Saturday night in September for the Tour de Tahoe bike marathon – a great event where you ride/​race around the lake – approx. 72 mile perimeter.
After we checked in, we walked right over to the lake and jumped in for a swim, and then relaxed on the beach from the long drive from Los Angeles. We watched the sun go down over the lake, then walked 2 blocks back to the Park Tahoe for showers and then across the street to Base Camp Pizza/​Italian for dinner. After that next door to Raleys market for buy a few things for breakfast and the Sunday bike ride to put into the very cold room refrigerator. The bed – Sooooo comfortable – better than I have at home. Shower small and tight but great pressure.
The room was clean, the front desk on the phone making the reservations and in person was very pleasant and accommodating (Thanks Shaun!), nice soft towels, and the room rate reasonable compared to all the other motels and hotels in the area. The front desk was as helpful as a concierge getting us situated and suggestions. No resort fees at all! (There are No resort facilities at all here.)
I could have stayed here a couple of more nights if we did not need to get back to work.
Parking was plentiful even on a sold out night, and was right in front of the room, easy unload and load back up.
I would definitely stay here again next time in town for the bike event.
People that should not stay here are the following:
1. You need a pool.
2. You need a spa.
3. You need room service.
4. You like to smoke.
5. You need a valet to park your car.
6. You need a butler to carry your bag.
7. You want interior corridors.
8. You need turndown service and a mint on your pillow.
9. You need a large flat screen TV.
10. You like to hang out in the hotel lobby and check people out.
None of these exist or are available at this hotel.
Wish list:
Prohibit pets in the rooms. We hate that! and try to avoid motels/​hotels that allow pets. They poop and pee on the carpets – you can’t get it fully out – the next guests walk in it. They shed and create allergens. Don’t go down that road. Someone posted a picture here of a Dog in one of their beds – gross to think that you may have to sleep in that same bed. What do you think the poop factory did in that bed?

Proximité avec le lac Tahoe (7 min de marche). Nous avons eu droit à des entrées gratuites sur la place privée du lac. En plein de le village, les décors sont très beaux et on peut accéder très facilement à de nombreux petits magasins. Il y a également de très bonnes tables.
La piscine était fermée par le conté pour raisons sanitaires…
