Rented our skis here recently. Very affordable, staff very knowledgable and pretty cool. Great with kids and beginners. Could use a little TLc on the inside decorations /​paint LOL. But, they were all very nice.
Would visit again.

Super fast ski rental if you swing by early in the morning. I stupidly forgot my boots at home and the staff was kind enough to rent me skis based on the size of my boot. (I called a friend to read me the size.) The prices were fair and returning the skis was a breeze!

I am a beginner skier and rented ski’s from here on a recent visit to Heavenly and Sierra, everything from the rental to the return process was easy and pleasant!
The guys here are chill, funny, and helpful, they took the time to get me fitted for poles and boots. My basic package rental was $ 20, plus $ 1 for insurance which included ski’s, poles, and boots. what a steal!

Great place to rent, no issues or complaints. They don’t rent goggles so we had to buy those but was only around $ 35 for a halfway decent pair, I’m sure they’ll pay for themselves in no time. Also don’t rent gloves, I bought a pair for $ 60 — again will pay for themselves. Ski rental was about $ 30 per day. I bought a good fleece neck protector for $ 10. So yeah, good prices but nothing is cheap in this town.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! From price to customer service to friendliness, these guys are a gem in the South Lake Tahoe area! After renting for 2 days, we told them we would be back in a month and they said «oh! Then we’ll put you in the file so you don’t have to give us measurements again, just let us know you’re coming and we’ll have it all pulled for you!»

These guys were awesome! Best prices we’ve seen in Tahoe and great equipment too. They even squeezed us in as they were closing. Very military friendly which was so appreciated. Felt like long time friends, just a phenomenal shop.

Rented skis and boards from here. They were so helpful and friendly. When we came back from skiing they came out to the car and helped us unload the skis. Definitely will go back!

Great place for renting snow gear! You can make «reservations», but I’m not sure that they’re needed. My group of 8 made a reservation with all our info and I was under the impression they would have our gear ready for us to pick up or for fitting when we got there, but we ended up having to fill out info again and do everything as if we didn’t make a reservation.
The staff here is great though. Super friendly and helpful. My fitting for boots and skis was pretty quick.
Gear rental is super affordable too. I got «intermediate» skis, which were new, for $ 32/​day. The «beginner» skis would have been $ 20/​day. They rent jackets and pants as well too, and sell things you might need/​want like beanies, gloves, face masks, etc.

I got the best snowboard matching possible. The board was so great and lightweight! Also, I got a great pair of boots that were both snug and comfortable.
The staff put a lot of effort and were very kind helping us getting our equipment fit and adjusted. Prices were also pretty fair. I’ll definitely go back. :)

Went here to get my friend some clothing. She needed an small top and pants. Got them no problem the guy there was very helpful. Then we needed gloves, glasses, hat and other items the guy even helped to give us the best deal for our money with his own products for what we needed. Thanks so much! 16 bucks for the jacket and pants for 24 hrs!!!

Can’t argue about the price — around 10 bucks for the most base model boots /​skis /​poles set. Decent selection of beginner to advanced skis and they have a well-​explained slide on the pros and cons of each type. Another 8 bucks for a helmet, but I consider it a necessity. The rental has a 5PM return deadline, which is reasonable since the resorts seem to have a last-​call lift around 4 anyways. We went to Kirkwood 40 minutes away and we made it back in good time. On the pricing aspect, it was super reasonable. The location of this place is right near a lot of businesses and stores in Tahoe.
We were able to get the sizes we wanted, even coming in around 10 on a Saturday (however, it’s a bad winter overall in Tahoe with not a lot of snow). The place was just moderately busy at that time. Service was somewhat slow — we were fitted for boots to start, and then when it was our turn in line we were told that the boots were not the base model ones (guy who brought them out screwed up since we definitely told him we wanted the base price set) and that if we wanted to keep those, it would be a $ 20 rental instead. Getting set up and fitted for the correct model for the base price took another 15 minutes. Budget another 10 – 15 for the boots to get fitted into the skis (it took longer because after fitting them into the skis, they realized the ski was damaged and had to switch them out).
Overall, a great rental spot that will save you a lot of cash on a ski trip at the Tahoe resorts, but budget enough time for being here.

We demoed some high performance skis from here, using our own boots, for a day at Heavenly. We described our ski style, what we wanted, etc. and ended up with skis that didn’t really work out for us, primarily because they didn’t have the skis we actually wanted to try. The skis were not nearly aggressive enough for the conditions and our styles. Since this shop is not close to the mountain, we were not able to change out our skis mid-​day. I’d recommend demoing on the mountain if you know your ski style and have a preference, but this shop is perfectly fine for beginners/​intermediates who need a decently priced rental package.

As everyone mentions — this is a a great crew, helpful for all skill levels, and very reasonable pricing.
Swapped boots after a day — initial fitting was too tight, sizing up ½ a size larger the next day took minutes.
As skis go, their selection is nice from the stacks of casual skis, to high performance, and super demos. Swapping skis to try a different style or skill level was also swift and attentive (even during the end of the day bustle in a crowded store). They took the time to re-​apply an edge to skis that seemed slightly dulled and roll on a quick coat of wax — very much appreciated as they were visibly slammed with folks waiting for this and that.
