One of the best and most honest mechanics, my rental car broke down right when we got into Tahoe and needed a Audi specialist, this happen to be the only one in town, walked in a hour and half before closing and Greg was able to fix my car and have it running again no issues within a hour, i cant thank him enough for saving my vacation and making this as hassle free as possible and with A+ service and speed and quality work and at a very decent price, recommend him for any work you need done thanks again!

Don’t give them the time of day. Guy acts like I owe him my service. Took an Audi A6 for an oil change and he had a big attitude. Take your car to Jon at Higher Ground. I was told not to go here and I dint listen, now I know why!

My Wife and I were on our second honeymoon last September (September 2014). 2 Days before leaving, while driving 2 days before we were to leave for the Bay Area, the fuel pump failed on our 1998 M3.
Not only was it fixed before we needed to leave, and the pricing very fair, we were also treated like family. It turns out the owner also races the same year M3! I got to see pictures of his car, and felt completely at ease that the repairs would be done right, and with some care for what the car means to me.
Sorry the review is so late, but none the less, if your car needs work this is the place to go!

My boyfriend and I had an «Oh no!» moment as we drove to Lake Tahoe in the BMW, feeling something was definitely wrong with the transmission. I found Tahoe Import Auto on my phone on the way there, called, and was told to stop by as soon as we got into town. I was afraid our weekend would be all about worrying about the car. The car was driven and hooked up to find out the codes. We were told it could be one of three things wrong, was nothing that couldn’t wait until we got home. We weren’t charged, enjoyed our weekend, and drove the BMW to be looked at back at home. We appreciated not being taken advantage of as Lake Tahoe tourists!

Giving these guys 5 stars for helping in a pinch. Just put in an urgent call to have them do diagnostic on car. My 18 yr old is traveling in area for lacrosse tournament and having car troubles. All other shops turned us away. Breathing a sigh of relief at the moment.

We got swindled by the road for Fallen Leaf Lake. The last section of the road to the trails was closed and we did a fatal U turn. Cracked oil pan. We got a AAA tow. We called the shop to ensure they could help us and they ordered the parts for us before we even got there.
The job was done in the time they said, and we were back on our way. Also they have an adorable shop dog, a little boston, who softens the price of the repair. Or not, he is cute.

Greg and his team are the best I have been taken my BMW there for years. Their prices are very fair and FAST service. Would send anyone there for any car needs!

These guy were great we were broken down off the 50 east and had AAA tow us to there shop. It was an easy fix. We were in and out in 30 mins and they didn’t charge us. Yes it was free. Thanks Tahoe Import Auto

Super friendly, helpful. Brought Mercedes in Friday at 5 and car fixed by Monday at 12.

THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF!!! $ 350 for an oil change and to have my air filters changed. are you kidding me!!! I will never ever ever go here again nor will I ever let anyone I know. not only did they charge me a ridiculous amount for a regular servicing. they didn’t even vacuum out my car or tell me anything about it (like what I may want to have checked out soon, etc) which all other car places regularly do. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

This shop is reasonable, speedy and friendly. What could have been a fiasco during our vacation turned out to be just an inconvenience. We were happy to find them.

i had to have a front wheel bearing and cv joint replaced a couple of days ago.
the problem was diagnosed quickly and the work was completely quickly at reasonable cost. i was impressed with all communication from these guys and with the level of service i received throughout the process.
i’m happy to recommend them.

Anyone want to be jerked around by a car repair shop?
Want to call for help because you are stranded, while waiting in the freezing snow on the side of a busy intersection (because AAA recommended Tahoe Imports Auto shop — and the next nearest shop was Reno) and instead you get a rude Aussie (no name given of course) on the other end of the phone to disrespect you? Yelling, hanging up on you and all… This Aussie man hung up on us more than once, no explanation at all.
If this is all you ever wanted, then Tahoe Import Auto is your repair shop!
I talked to our tow truck driver and apparently Tahoe Import Auto is notorious in South Lake Tahoe for being very hard to work with. Thank gawd for A.I.R.S. VW website (Aircooled Interstate Rescue Squad)!
