Trattoria Sole is permanently closed. They have a we’re closed sign on all the windows. The furniture is gone. The outdoor TV is fine.

Had dinner there last night. Great restaurant! The food was delicious, atmosphere was amazing, and the service was fabulous. I got the ravioli stuffed with beef with a pink sauce. Delicious. All of their pastas are handmade and you can tell. Very high quality. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant and recommend it to anyone who enjoys pasta.

I rarely spend the time to write reviews. Probably because I normally go to restaurants that I know have good reputations, but this time I made the mistake of walking into this place. Which had an abundance of seating on a Saturday night, which should of been a clear indication of what to expect. I am convinced that any review that gives this restaurant more than a star or two is completely fake. I honestly don’t understand how this place is still in business with the quality of food they serve. It is completely subpar and ridiculously over priced. When the manager(or owner, not sure) came over to ask how everything was – probably because he saw the look of disgust on our faces – and I proceeded to share my thoughts he became dismissive and ultimately patronizing. I will never visit this restaurant again. I’d rather eat at the Olive Garden. I would rather eat at Pizza Hut. I would rather throw some shrimp into a bowl of Campbell’s soup. That is all.

Had the Spinach Ravioli with butter sage sauce which was just OK. There was too much butter sauce and not enough sage. Next time I will try the pumpkin.

Nice staff and cute little outdoor seating area but the food is not worth the money! It was very bland and forgetable. Also, the two drinks I ordered were terrible.

Unilocalers, this place is crazy, they calls trattoria when they sell frozen mozzarella and pastas, the height, they add flour on the marinara sauce. Waoooo!!! CRAZY!!! AWFUL!!! Overprice, in my opinion RIPOFF!!! Costumer service«0»

I have dined at Trattoria Sole many times over the years and have always had an enjoyable experience. Menu is authentic Italian with all my favorites… carpaccio, burrata and homemade pasta. I usually order fish which is always fresh and well prepared. The interior is inviting and they have ample sidewalk seating as well. Efficient service and easy parking make this spot in South Miami the perfect escape from the beach for me.

I found the quality of the food to be way below the menu price. Last I recall, I ordered tequenos that were filled with steak. The meat was tough and chewy and the tequenos dough was undercooked. I would not go back.

Service took forever and the place was not even full on Friday night(that should have been an indication). Fetucini Alfredo was way too aldente impossible to eat. NY Steak came cut in peaces and dry dry dry with no souce at all, it needs to be told to people what it is, it felt like a cardboard. Waiter was never there never asked if we are ok if we liked our food and after we asked 5 times to refill our drinks they refilled it to the same glasses and not rem added extra ice, the guy didnt even knew which glass belongs to who when he brought it back. Forget about it, not worth spending time and money in this place. Look for better experience around…

Menu on Unilocal is not the updated menu but our waiter helped me choose a delicious replacement and it was the stuffed flounder. Delicious. Other than it wasn’t my First want I am more than happy with the experience And will come again!

This is another frequent place I visit because it is conveniently right up the street from UM. The food is great quality and the outdoor seating is very comfortable, but if you’re looking for so, etching a but more formal you can take your party inside to the intimate indoor seating. We had so many different waiters come over and take orders and run food and bring drinks over that we weren’t sure exactly who our waiter was but regardless the service overall was fantastic. The lasagna here is delicious as it should be at any Italian restaurant but my favorite here is to order a create your own dish and get shrimp and/or chicken with Alfredo sauce and linguini or fetuccini. The calamari wasn’t out of this world especially for an area so close to the source but it was reasonable. They have a really thorough menu and they do everything well that they do. The portions are pretty generous too, you wouldn’t be wrong to assume one meal could be dinner and lunch for the next day.

Salmon Al Piacere and Tiramisu The salmon was grilled in a mango coconut glaze and topped with roasted pistachios. Steamed zuchini, squash, and seasonal vegetables were served on the side along with diced roasted potatoes. The potatoes tasted like they were mashed on the inside but al dente on the outside. The texture is quite novel and pleasing to the taste. The meal was delicious. The restaurant has a candle-lit evening ambience. Its 8pm on a Monday night. Latin music is playing and there are several small groups eating. The restaurant is not too packed. There is just enough noise to speak with your dinner guest(s) but not too loud to be overheard. The décor consists of dark mahogny or cherry wood floors and tables dressed with white tablecloths and paper sheets on top. Orange curtains frame the windows and corresponding orange cloth drapes from the ceiling. An outside patio beckons passers-by to have a look and a taste just as it piqued my curiosity. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food arrived quickly. For dessert, I went with the Tiramisu(Big surprise knowing me, right?). A perfect cube of lady fingers, cream and coffee flavored liquer dashed with confectioner’s sugar, glazed with dulche de leche and garnished with fresh mint and sliced strawberry. I dare you to find a more delicous and healthy fare that will dazzle your tastebuds. When you fail and give in, the host will smile and tell you«I knew it was that good.» Caio. :-)

If you’re at Sunset Place and tired of the only non-fast-food restaurant there(Marhaba), this is a good option. It’s not within the mall itself, but walking distance, down the block — caution: it is a bit on the pricey side, though. A salad will set you back about $ 12, for example, but it is large enough to share. I went yesterday with a friend prior to watching a movie, and I ordered the Fagottino Di Pollo, which is chicken filled with cheese and pieces of pancetta. It also comes with vegetables and potato chunks on the side. My friend got the crab ravioli, and we split a Cesar salad. He said his ravioli was okay but he wasn’t too impressed. I asked if it had something to do with the crab flavor and he admitted that was the reason. He was craving beef rather than seafood, and I guess he didn’t realize that crab can and does have a pungent, strong flavor. My chicken was tender and delicious, although a bit on the salty side, so that is why I deducted a star. The Cesar salad was large, as I mentioned, and tasty. The amount of dressing was just right: not dripping off the leaves, but not dry and lacking either. The fresh cracked pepper added the perfect touch. Service was great, there were 3 servers constantly checking in on us. If you’re looking for an upscale Italian restaurant within the South Miami area, I definitely recommend considering Trattoria Sole. Next time I go, I plan to try their Lasagna and will update my review accordingly. PS: There’s a «build your own pasta» option if you don’t like the options offered. It’s at the top of the menu in the«pasta section», my friend missed it. You can choose any type of pasta listed(spaghetti, linguine, etc.), any type of sauce listed(marinara, alfredo, etc.), and a type of meat(chicken, beef, etc.), and they will custom make it for you. Something to keep in mind.

The place in itself is wonderful– the service is great(our waiter kept his distance once he figured it was a GNO and there was a lot of talking going on!), the food was wonderful but it is pricey so don’t get too shocked when you see your check. When the weather permits, sitting outside is great as it is a different ambiance. People watching can be fun and though it isn’t very trafficked by pedestrians, you can still see some people wandering about that are quite the characters. The portions are not Olive Garden portions– they are small, just FYI!

The food was amazing. Very simple flavors complementing each other very well. I had the veal with some cheese(it was like brie, I can’t remember its name though), a wine sauce and walnuts. Very tender, it was excellent. As a side I had spaghetti marinara. The sauce had a great tang and you can tell the pasta is homemade. We received the food very quickly too, and any restaurant that serves warm bread is already tops in my book. The only problem was service. I requested to substitute pasta for the side of veggies and mashed potatoes(it is, after all, an Italian restaurant). Pasta sides go for $ 3.50. When the bill came I was charged $ 3.50, as though I had ordered the pasta separately instead of subbing for the existing side. It was fixed but after a delicious meal I really didn’t feel like disputing the bill.

Came here for a birthday dinner with my girlfriends and we had a great time. The atmosphere was calm, dim lights not too fancy or over the top. The service was great, we had water filled glasses all night long as well as our wine. I had the prong risotto which did not disappoint at all. But what I really wanted to talk about in this review is the mango cheesecake which was one of 3 desserts we ordered. It was to DIEFOR! Smooth, velvety, in my belly flavorful yummy-ness! The tiramitzu was real good also… Coming back for more!

Oh yes here we go I finally got the right place. Been here at least three times, once for brunch and twice for dinner. Service is non existent here. Oh look at me I am a robot who can barely write let alone get your order right. If the food was decent maybe I would not be so critical but alas it is not good. I have tried pasta dishes and sandwiches. All of the food reminds me of Italian fast food. This is not Italian food. Bottom line the service is awful, food is not good IMO, canned tomato sauce, pasta overcooked every time, bland, blah! I would rather dine at Olive Garden.
