I recently decided to wear my hair natural and on the hunt to find products and hair routine that hydrate my curls. I first came in looking for Deva Curl, which I turned out to be allergic to, Charles to the rescue, every time I come in he’s very friendly and knowledgeable about products and points me in the right direction. Pro Beauty takes the anxiety out of trying new hair products with their return policy. Charles really cares about the customer and making sure we get the right products. Pro Beauty is now my go to for all my beauty product needs.

I was in here for the 1^st time yesterday! Awesome store and staff! Beautifully decorated! Was like a shop at a spa when you’re on vacation feel to it. :) Charles the owner was very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable! He even gave me a Union Discount for being in SAG-​AFTRA.

Love this place! The owner and workers go above and beyond to get the product I need if they don’t carry it in the store. I get great recommendations with products I do need. Love that they carry Blinc mascara, Murad, and other top shelf products. Love there point system as well. Got $ 10.00 off my purchase the other day and am accumulating more points as we speak.

I’ve been frequenting ProBeauty since I was 16 and I first began to dye my hair. I have seen a lot of change with employees, layout, prices and products. Through it all, though I have been a loyal customer and have reaped the benefits as such with the Pro*Beauty Loyalty Card (it’s like the Hello Kitty store — you get a stamp for every certain payment milestone and at the end of the card you get something like $ 10 off your whole purchase).
Over the years, I will lose/​find my cards and the girls are always fantastic about stapling them together and combining them so I do not miss out on my loyalty rewards.
Some of the products are indeed a touch ridiculously priced — such as foam rollers — and I take a pass on those. However, they carry my go-​to bleach, developer and color brands at very reasonable prices and for these I will stick around and continue to patronize them. If you’re looking for decently priced vivid, rainbow color dye that is peroxide-​free, purchase Adore brand dye. Less than $ 10 a bottle.

Pro Beauty is well stocked. Its fun to brows the isles and get lost in the products because you can find items you never knew existed! I constantly think to myself ‘Oh, I have that problem. here is a product that will help me with it!’ If you frequent this location ask for a punch card! Rack up the stamps and get money off future purchases. Just a little intensive which is always nice. My favorite products include the HEMP body wash and lotion combos, Wella toners, Prestige Eye Brow dual sculptor, Joico Purple Conditioner and much more! The employees have been helpful and not overly so which is nice for the timid shoppers out there.

This is such a wonderful store!!! They have everything! The store is beautiful! Great customer service! And. . a fantastic customer rewards program! I won’t go anywhere else!

I come here now and then for hair products. I like that they’re open until 7pm since I usually shop after work. It’s not the cheapest place but they do have a sale shelf that is pretty reasonably priced. They have a wide selection of beauty products. They even carry baby shampoo! Nice!

I came here specifically for being a retailer for make up line Glo*Minerals. I was quite impressed that they carried the entire line with the exception of 1 foundation (which is no big deal). It wasn’t till the next morning when was I going to put make up on that the packaging is completely different and the ingredients listed than what was in the website. The product I have lists methyl and polyparaben. Holy cow! The reason why I got it in the first place was because of their pharmaceutical grade ingredients with no parabens! I will say that I was adviced by sales person before purchase, but little did I know that the product packaging and the product itself was going to be any different! All sales are final therefore I cannot get my money back which sucks big time! As a resolution: they will «order new product» with new packaging in 2 weeks and then I can do an exchange. Till then I am SOL. I can only speak for what I know and from experience. I have no complaints against the store and its staff because they were friendly and helpful. However, be wary when purchasing the Glo*Minerals line from this store.

I researched a makeup line called Glo Minerals, which this store carried. I made the commute, as I am not local, but thought it would be worth it if I found a great beauty supply that carried it. The girl who helped me was sweet and we picked out a foundation, it was a good experience. When I used it at home the color looked orange on my skin. I went back a second time to exchange it for another color. A different girl helped me and instructed me to go outside to look at the color on my face… as the lighting at this beauty supply is not good. I picked out a color, and was grateful for the exchange.
When I got home, the foundation was in a completely different bottle than the original and it was a different texture: very runny; I thought I was given the wrong product. This was very frustrating because it is a commute for me to drive to this store. I reluctantly returned to the store for a third time so I could get the correct product. When I showed the second girl who had helped me the product, she said it was the same foundation but that I had been given an old product, that the new Glo Minerals was the original bottle I received. She continued to explain that the owner was very upset that they exchanged the original bottle for me and did it as a favor to me. I told her the texture of the old bottled foundation was different, but she turned me away without giving me a current/​new product. Mind you, GLO Minerals foundation is $ 40.00 a pop. When you pay $ 40.00 for a foundation you expect the new current product. I was originally given the new product and ended up with the old product. I threw it away, I am not going to use an old outdated product on my sensitive skin. If you are a Glo Minerals user, go somewhere else for the product as who knows how long this stuff sits on the shelf. Also, the lighting is really bad in the store for makeup. It’s a bummer, because I love supporting small businesses and like being a loyal customer.

I came here in a hurry to get some products to do an ombré hair on myself at home, I was scared to try something new and was clueless as to how to do it or what I needed. Thankfully I walked into customer service heaven! Adrianna (store manager) was amazing!!! She was super kind and helpful. She knew about every product and was fast at recommending products. She even suggested a few tips on how she does her hair, which was very helpful. I am so happy with the products and prices! I am now a loyal customer for life!!!

Last time I came here I was quite disappointed because there were no staff, only a cashier (whom I believe is the owner). But things have changed in the last months. The staff here are Great. They’ll leave you alone for the most part, but if you have questions they’ll try their best to answer them for you. I ended up going in twice today cause I forgot to get bleach. But they were super helpful.
Cons:
So there’s no return for color products.
Returns are for store credit only. Boo!
The foam rollers here were pricey!!! Probably will go somewhere else for them. But def closer and cheaper on some products compared to Sally’s.

These people are awesome. I went in to get shampoo and conditioner. Just for fun I checked the price on the internet when I got home and Pro Beauty was the same. (without the shipping charge!) Next time I went in to get the same stuff the young lady said,” I think we’re having a promotion on that”. She went to another part of the store and got me both items for about 33% off. Love this place!

Been shopping here since 2005. They are my one stop shop. Wide selection of skincare, haircare, bath and body products, hot tools, hair dyes and more. All employees are trained and knowledgeable about the products, which really matters when it comes to skincare. Very clean and well stocked too. Beauty may not be cheap, but it is worth it.

Awesome customer service! The girls that work here are very knowledgable and are willing to help and explain the products you are looking for. I will admit some of the prices for some of their products are overpriced. however there are others that aren’t. So it depends what you are looking for. They have an exchange only return policy but make sure u do it within 2 weeks.

I had the most awful experience here. Really the worst I have had anywhere. If you don’t esthetically meet their opinion of a ideal customer, you can expect to be gazed upon with suspicion and followed around. I found this especially upsetting considering the vast amount of money I have spent there, not to mention all of my clients that I have referred to them. I will never go back. I would not recommend this store to anybody.

I agree with the positive reviewers. I’ve been coming to this beauty supply store for about two years. This type of business shares some aspects of both the beauty supply business and the beauty retail. It’s not Sephora, but you can still find many great brands — and maybe find new some favorites — and the prices are comparable. I like that they carry a full line of Burts Bees for men, which I like to give as a gift.

An excellent, tucked away beauty resource. The most knowledgeable and friendly staff ever, amazing products, and arranged like a showplace. The owners and staff take a lot of pride in the place and it shows. Wonderful skincare lines, hair products, you name it. Tucked in the plaza between Round Table and Grassroots, it can go unnoticed, but by far my FAVORITE beauty supply ever.

this is a hidden gem — it’s tucked into a corner of the Vons shopping strip on Fair Oaks, you can’t really see it from driving by.
Big, clean, light and well organized. I can’t really rattle off a list of brands because I was overwhelmed (in a good way) my first time walking through the store. They do have the full line of Redken, which is difficult to find around here (Ulta carries only selective items and Sallys — nothing).
Reasonable prices

My favorite beauty supply store!!! One of the largest in the area and the employees are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It’s so nice to go somewhere and feel that the workers actually knows what products are best for what conditions, especially when it comes to the skin. They have a wide selection of salon quality brands, and products. They are a little hidden in the plaza they are located in, but just look for them in the Vons lot in the corner in between Grassroots and Round Table. Once you find this beauty haven, you won’t need to go elsewhere. They also have a great hair stylist and esthetician.
