Established in 1992.

With over 30 years of industry know-​how and current product knowledge, John Vandercook and Tina Ruiz are abreast of the latest flooring and window design methods and extend an open, friendly, personal hands-​on approach in assisting you with your design ideas.

Through personal consultation, on-​sight measuring and review, product sampling, recommendations, sales and installation services, we work directly with you to fulfill your vision. We also work with trade, real estate, commercial property and municipal professionals, providing product samples, custom dye services, area rug fabrication, window covering work room services, upholstery referral services, all in a beautiful showroom setting offering the client a comfortable working environment.

Many of our products are green, environmentally responsible, natural, sustainable and biodegradable. It is extremely important to us that the majority of our products are made in the USA.

I have had the pleasure of serving South Pasadena and the San Gabriel valley market for twenty years. My business partner, Tina Ruiz and I have the experience and product knowledge to service your flooring and window covering needs. We take great care in making sure your project needs are brought to your personal and desired completion. As a small business we are able to give our customers the personal attention, service and help that gives them the peace of mind that their selection is right for them.

I also live in South Pasadena and am personally envolved in the community.

I received a referral to Reimagine Your Home from a good friend of mine about getting quality window coverings at affordable prices for my home in Chino. I was reluctant to travel all the way to South Pasadena to find window coverings, but today I went to Reimagine Your Home. It wasn’t as far as I thought, and it was an easy drive. I was very happy with the large variety of affordable window covering possibilities. John, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable, professional and very patient with my wife, who asked too many questions to count. I was impressed with the business, the inventory and the customer service. I highly recommend this business, even for my friends and neighbors. Take a short drive, have lunch and buy window coverings.

I have known John for probably 15 years. John knows his product and only sells the products he has complete knowledge and confidence with. I am a building contractor in town and I have refereed many of my clients to him. All of them where very satisfied. He provided the shades in my house and they have held up well despite the abuse of my 3 young children. I recommend Reimagine your home strongly.

We had our upstairs bedrooms re-​carpeted several years ago and recently decided to do the downstairs bedrooms in the same carpet. John remembered what we had put in the upstairs bedrooms and was able to obtain the same for the downstairs bedrooms. John was professional and pleasant when he came to measure and his installers were also. I would use them again but I don’t have anything to carpet now!

I am very saddened that Dustin added those comments to my review… nobody ever mentioned «cellular shades» to me when he was measuring — maybe he was talking to one of my staff? — nor was that ever an option for this install as dust mitigation was a primary factor in replacing the existing blinds. Considering that TINA is the design consultant, not him, and he wasn’t in ANY of the meetings when I explicitly told her what type of shades were to be installed and what the light and privacy blocking requirements were, I have no idea why he would think it appropriate to comment. Dustin is a subcontracted installer, not an employee. He is obviously just trying to discredit me in support of this sad operation. It’s a shame, because I had recommended his installation services to others and would have used him again. No more.
Another thing to add… the shades are already falling apart and need to be replaced, light gaps notwithstanding. The fabric has come out of the bottom channel completely on more than half of the fixtures… and these shades have been raised and lowered a total of TWO times since they were installed for the windows behind to be cleaned, and are rarely — if ever — touched. Just to be clear, they were installed in March of this year. Total garbage.
Looking at them closer, the shades are not even Hunter Douglas, they’re «Lafayette» brand, which I’ve never even heard of and are not what I thought I was buying.
Avoid these jokers.

I’m so surprised by the other reviews listed. My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Reimagine Your Home. We recently moved into a new home and was looking to buy two different but complementary rugs for our living and dinning room spaces. We have never tried to tie two rooms together like this so we were really looking for help and expertise.
We not only had a great customer service experience but we decided to utilize them to explore recarpeting our upstairs. We haven’t been able to afford this project yet but we have all the selections made and measurements done so we can start as soon as possible.

We needed to replace carpets in our three story commercial building. John helped us to source the original carpet brand and style — and arranged the installation. Fair pricing and a personal approach that you won’t find at big box retailers made the job a pleasant and efficient one.

Ordered blinds to block sun and heat. The woman came to our home to take measurements and see what was needed. The blinds which were recommended didn’t block sun, heat, or even ambient nighttime light.
When I reported the blinds were not working out at all, she became aggressive and belligerent, shifting the responsibility to us, «That’s what you ordered. We don’t give consultations» (not sure what that was then when she was in our house asking questions and making recommendations) and we were charged full price to re order the proper blinds. She STILL couldn’t get it «well you can use the other blinds if you change your mind». Expensive and not worth the trouble. Never again!
