Mohn’s Flowers & Fancy Foods

Their slogan should be, «Mohn’s: We Don’t Want Your Business» or «Welcome to Mohn’s A-​Hole».
The woman that runs this business is probably one of the rudest women in New Jersey retail; that is not an easy feat.
I chose to go to Mohn’s since my father has done business with Mohn’s and the previous owners for more then 40 years. When my parents and I went to Mohn’s we had an acknowledged last minute request for some flowers for a small wedding. I tried to explain to the owner/​clerk, whom I seemed to have disturbed from a conversation and afternoon tea with a friend, that I had just flown in since I work internationally and that is why the request is a bit last minute but she began yelling that she «had nothing in the store and would not be able to help [us] because [we] didn’t giver her enough time.» We apologized and said that we understand that it is short notice but can we at least take a look around so that maybe we can try and put something together? She again replied, «I don’t have what you’re looken’ for.» So we went to 1−800-Flowers where we received really friendly service that went above and beyond expected. Do not go to Mohn’s if you want to be treated decently and not feel like you are disturbing the staff from a little r&r.
