History

Established in 1995.

From our humble beginnings in the early to mid 90’s in the nightclubs on Boston’s south shore, M&M Entertainment moved to Portland Maine in 1997, and has grown into one of the most respected Disc Jockey companies in Maine.

Mike Mahoney is the Owner, DJ and MC, he has entertained at hundreds of weddings, dozens of Bar & Bat Mitzvah’s and countless parties and camp events. He can be seen regularly at The Old Port Tavern in Portland’s Old Port.

Mike began his career in the offices of WBET and WCAV radio in Brockton MA in the late 80’s, rubbing elbows with the on air talent, then took to the airwaves hmself in 1989 at WSHL, St. Joseph’s College radio in Windham ME. then to WSHL, Stonehill College radio in Easton MA.

While at Stonehill, Mike got an opportunity to DJ at a local club as a back up DJ, soon after, in 1992, he meet up with his music director from WSJB, and was introduced to the world of the evnt disc jockey. Within 2 years, Mike was full time at the night club, and working weddings and parties himself, and in 1995, M&M Entertainment was established!

Mike continues to hone his skills through conventions, conferences and workshops for both music techniques and equipment, and public speaking.
