Another neighbor of someone who used this service. Left a big rut through my yard after driving their big truck through it. Notified one of the employees. Not even an apology. Just blaring horns as they drove away leaving piles of shredded tree debris all over the street

Not a customer but a neighbor of a customer which right there is not a good sign. You like your neighbors? Then don’t use this company.
My wife has an extensive garden out front. Well it’s not really that extensive because there is ample room to drop limbs into green versus on peonies and such. Anyone who gardens knows that plants can get expensive which means either:
a) S&S doesn’t employ these sort of people that are in the know
b) They employ people who don’t care.
We have a maple tree we need banded. When my neighbor told me he had someone coming out to work on his tree, I was hoping to talk to them about another job. Instead my first interaction was «What the **** are you guys doing? This has to stop.» Needless to say they lost a job and now are getting bad press.

Tried adding to this review but I’m guessing there is a time limit of when something is edited. Here is my addendum:
So my wife finally received a call back from one of the managers in the company. He stated they were talking to all of their crews about being aware of neighbors and being more respectful. That is appreciated.
Albeit, this call took an e-​mail of mine stating I would call their radio show.
S & S did a nice trim job on the neighbors tree and hopefully they are able to handle the ash borer that has infested it which they are now treating.
Would I personally use? No. But that shouldn’t stop you from getting an estimate from them.
