Food is really great. loved their crispy pata topped with garlic, grilled squid, mixed veg(pakbet) and bangus sisig. 4-stars for the place as it is really small and gets crowded on weekends.

Reviewed based on Henry’s customer service… Customer service here hands down worst service! I made reservations a month in advance for a company party here. A lady called to confirm the day before or reservation date and I confirmed. We all show up the next day. I talk to the front desk and she says that I don’t have a reservation, that I canceled the reservation and that she spoke to me! I told her I did no such thing. She wouldn’t admit there was a mistake on her part. She said that she recognized my voice from the telephone conversation we had about canceling. She wouldn’t admit her mistake at all and instead whined and try to make it like she was a victim. Worst customer service ever.

The food here is great. I ordered the crispy pata. Not too crunchy, but just right and it had a lot of meat and just enough fat to not feel guilty about eating a lot of it. The sauce made the crispy pata just melt in my mouth. It wasn’t too bad with a little adobo fried rice too. I like that fact that they play live music here and the instruments aren’t just for decoration.

This place is a good time… if you’re 35!!! Just kidding. No really. Ok, just kidding again. I went here with the BF but I think it would be a much better experience with a group of friends. Like 4 – 6 people. This place is loud, full of Filipinos, good food and good laughs. The lead singer wanted everyone intoxicated. Just kidding. So on to the food. We enjoyed every bit of it. We ordered lechon kawali, palabok and bangus. The first two dishes listed were so rich in fat, it was disgustingly good that I needed to run the next day. But of course, I didn’t. Anyway, those three dishes were so large in size that I think it could have fed 5 people easily. My bf and I couldn’t finish any of the dishes at all. We’ve always thought that going into a Filipino restaurant always felt like we were being jipped(like Max’s and Godlilocks, ahem). But chya, they were huge portions. Couldn’t believe it! On to the entertainment part. We went on a Friday night and although it wasn’t packed, we had a good time. My bf especially enjoyed the band playing. They all played so well together and that was one of the few times I actually felt proud of being Filipino. So much talent in one room gives a smile on my face. *SMILE* One star off because the place was a bit too loud and it was hard to keep a conversation going. Overall, 4⁄5. Finished the last sip of my calamansi juice and called it a night.

This place was so much more than I could ever expect. When you drive up you honestly cant comprehend the world that lies beyond those doors… Food?- Absolutely Delicious Don’t get carried away! Their food is rich and flavorful and will always leave you nice a full. They also recently introduced their«silogs» menu that same night we visited. If you come by after midnight you can order a silog of your choice Restaurant?- Beautiful, Simple and All about music Their passion between food and music is appropriately expressed by their choice of décor. The calm and deep colors of the wall support the atmosphere and really helps to bring the music and food to life. Entertainment?- Definitely worth much more than the $ 5 cover Marivic and Henry are stars in their own band on Fri and Sat nights. Not only do they run an exquisite establishment, but they are also fiercely talented performers. They are humble and very kind. Fri & Sat nights they cover all kinds of music from classic rock, contemporary, rock and roll, r& b and more. There is something for everyone. Enjoy your fun-filled evening!

I’ve always wanted to eat here but not ever had the opportunity to until yesterday. I had gone to Henry’s to celebrate a baptism. My experience at this place was a good one. Inside the restaurant its roomy and has a small stage, often with a live band playing in the background. The food I tried was lumpia, fried chicken, and the leche flan which were all satisfactory. But I have to commend Henry’s on their impeccable service! The waitstaff had always made sure the party was always attended to and they were all polite. I’m glad that the Henry’s restaurant first impression was a good, lasting one!

Adobo rice! The food is delicious, but the Adobo rice is amazingly delicious. We went there before the live music started so there weren’t many people there. Actually, we were the second couple in the restaurant. The ladies that helped us out were very nice and friendly. Looking at the menu, the price was quite reasonable. We ordered pork sisig, shanghai lumpia and adobo rice. The sisig was delicious too as well as the lumpia. Next time we will try to go when there is live music. It sounds like everyone has really enjoyed the band. I agree with a Lily D.‘s review, this place is a hidden gem!

We were looking for a restaurant to celebrate my Father in Laws 60th Birthday so we decided to check this place out since we heard they have live music on fridays/saturdays. We got there a bit before they opened for dinner and tried calling. Henry answered the phone and told us he would unlock the door so we could check the place out. He told us that he was mainly the music guy we would have to talk to his wife who he called so we could talk to her. We asked if we could eat since we were there and he said sure even though they were not really open yet. He took our order and served us until Marriane came in to start her shift. She was a great server and the food was awesome… we decided that day that we would have our party there. Couple months later it was time for the party… we had about 50 guests so we took up the main part of the restaurant. There were only 2 servers for everyone yet everyone was taken care of. Food was excellent again and the service was perfect. They helped us with the cake cutting, the video presentation, and packing all the left over food. After dinner the band started setting up and most of the party stayed for the band… which was really good. They charged an additional $ 5 per person that wanted to stay for the music. Worth it. Grab a table near Henry and his keyboards… Wow…he is amazing! We’ve been to Barrio Fiesta, Kalesa, Patio Filipino, Maxs, and none of them are as good… and then you add the entertainment… it doesn’t get any better than Henry’s

I can honestly say i like this place, food is good, service is good prices are not too steep only flaw they have karaōke nights and it cuts into the seating area every plate we tried was good not as good as home cooked but up their for store bought foods, spot has been open for awhile I am pretty sure longer then Tribu, El Patio, Kuya’s and Ihaw Ihaw as well as other newer spots that have sprung up through the years, service has always been good here, price is somewhat pricey but the food makes up for the cost, if you don’t like karaōke don’t come during the evening, tables are harder to come by because folks come to eat and watch. food **** decent price $$ service **** ambiance **** clean, friendly, good for group of friends 5+ friends

If you enjoy Filipino food, this is the PLACE. The preperation of the food is excellent and consistant. The portion are good and not skimpy like most Filipino restaurants. The live entertainment on Firdays and Saturdays are great, and if you like to sing Karaōke, check it out on Wedsnesdays and Thursdays. Get there early because when its crowded, you may have to wait a while for your food, but its worth it. Try their Rib Eye Sigsig and the Lumpia Shangai. The best in town! They have an extensive meat and seafood menu. Enjoy! Say hi to Marivic & Henry…

I go to Henry’s for their food. I have been to a lot of Filipino restaurants here in the Bay Area but I have found my self going back to Henry’s more frequently in the past few months. I love their … tender and savory rib-eye steak topped with roasted garlic and deep-fried onion rings … crunchy but melts-in-your-mouth chicharong bulaklak … juicy inihaw na baboy(grilled pork belly, I guess) … beef bulalo with saging na saba … etc. … all these with mounds of kanin(rice). Oh, Henry’s reminds me so much of Manila! Lest I forget, I would like to mention, too, that Henry(a maniac with the keyboards) and Marivic(a sultry jazz singer), as well as the other musicians that jam with them every so often, perform beautiful and soothing LIVE music beginning at 9PM(I go there Friday or Saturday nights). Seriously, folks, very good food and very good music make one want to come back for more. So, I do.

I won’t recommend this place for a large group parties, like 60 people or more, they can’t accomodate them properly, they cant commit on the agreed schedule, we thought the place was reserved on an agreed time, but they were still accepting customers though the time is not yet over. The place was so small and they can’t even give us enough room for all the visitors that are present. The owners are kinda rude, very dissapointing service. the staff too… make sure to train them .were not going back here anymore. I’d recommend INTRAMUROS in south city.

Henry and Marivic make you feel welcome, out of town or local! The atmosphere may seem small, but don’t be afraid to give it a chance, you will like it! FOOD: I’m not a big fan of filipino food. BUT! Once in a while I have to go back to my roots, and this is where I’ll get it. Check it out during lunch time, and you will not be disappointed. The SILOG portion is so much you will be asking for a to go box!

Henry’s is a great little neighborhood bar/restaurant with great Filipino food. Henry has been playing music for more than 20 years professionally and every Friday and Saturday he plays with a band that covers a lot of jazzy tunes and popular music from the 60s and 70s. All the members of the band are very talented and can play almost any instrument. The atmosphere is very friendly. As soon as you walk in the door, everybody is your immediate friend. There are a couple regulars and they were all very nice. The majority of the customers are Filipino and a lot of Tagolog is spoken at Henry’s. The restaurant itself was small, but it is not cramped. The décor is very Vegas lounge and maybe a little dark. The food was great. I had never tried Filipino food before and I was very impressed. The flavors were a little mild for my taste. I like my food super spicy. But, I think for the average customer the food was perfect. I recommend the pansit and the fried pata. Super good. The music was great too. The band is very talented. If you like the Beatles and Billy Joel and lighter pop music, then you may really like this place. They first start with a quieter set of jazzy tunes and then get into a full jam session with a lot of regulars taking turns singing or playing guitar or keys. They are all pretty good musicians. Not really my taste in music. But, the atmosphere is very fun and playful and everyone is having a good time. The prices were very reasonable. The beer was between 4 and 5 bucks. And, entrees are usually in the 10 to 16 dollar range. Come to Henry’s if you like great Filipino food in a relaxed atmosphere. Come on Friday or Saturday if you want to hear live music with a great band. The prices are good and the owners are a lot of fun.

COMEHEREIF: –You enjoy loud rock or jazz music and a fun«jam session» type of environment. –You enjoy socializing with people you don’t know at adjacent tables –If you enjoy Filipino food DON’T COMEHEREIF: –You prefer quiet dining or places that are generally more«relaxed.» –If you’d like an intimate dining experience without having to talk to or hear the people around you The food here is great and the service is quick and friendly. I’m a person who enjoys lots of blaring music and talking about it with others, so this place seemed like the perfect family-party type of scene for me. The crowds are generally older, with the average regular being at about age 35. Order the lumpia shanghai! They make is crispy and flavorful without oversalting the inside.

Decent food. I love the chicharon bulalak(fried intestine) and sisig bangus here. I didn’t like the sinigang — too sour. I hate the fact that they dim down the light for a lighted small tealight candle to get ready for the night(when the band performs, I guess). But how am I supposed to see what I’m eating with the tealight?

Think hard enough and be considerate before writing a comment or rating a place of business like Henry’s. This place is so accommodating from the taste, presentation and service of the food, friendliness and courteousness of the servers and its owners and to the wonderful live band that will stir your senses. To newcomers, Henry will surprise you on the keyboard, bass, drums, vocals and lately trumpet. To regulars like me, Henry still mesmerizes me. JR, your hands on the drums are so powerful, Rolly, your vocals are amazing, Elmo, how many more strings to play a good bass. Marivic, your vocals are heavenly. Kudos to Henry and Marivic. Keep it up guys. Teddy C., you need more exposure.

I was here last Saturday to watch the de la… wait I am just going to call it the Pacquiao fight! Go Manny! Anyways we really didn’t have a place to watch it yet and it was already past noon that day. I called to verify that they were showing the fight and he said yes and it would be $ 15/person. No problem I say and then he asked if I would like to reserve a table. You mean that in less than 6 hours the biggest fight of the year will be on and I am sure most places were going to be standing room only and you have a table I can reserve?! Yes please! Walked in and it had pretty nice décor for a pinoy place but you could really smell the food like a pinoy place. We way over ordered and the waitress was really nice and helpful despite being slammed. The food was decent and nothing was really bad which usually happens when you order a lot of dishes… there is always that one dish that everyone thinks sucks and goes untouched. Not here. They also could have packed way more people in here but I commend them for not being greedy and keeping it comfortable for everyone to watch the fight. I’ll definitely be back and hope to bring the rents here when they visit. *-1 star merely because I am going to be really stingy with my 5 star reviews from now on

Overall 3.5 so I’ll round up. Entertainment — 4 They were really good. Food — 3 It’s refreshing to find a place where you can get filipino food and live entertainment; a place that is open pretty late and still cooks the food fresh(not sitting under some heatlamp). I would go back to this place… it was fun. RibEye Sisig– tasted yummy but I think Ima get a heart attack from it. It was pretty greasy and fatty. but I guess that’s why it tasted oh so good. Sinigang na bangus– 3 large fish pieces, lots of very very sour soup and fresh veggies. Pinakbet — Not bad. It wasn’t too salty, and unlike other places, the variety of vegetables was proportionally good.(i.e. not too much of 1 veggie).
