I called ahead & gave a list of the parts that I needed to purchase for my car so at least I had an idea how much it would cost. Came in the store less than 30 minutes later to get what I needed. The female cashier that rung up my purchase was pleasant but when I got home the person fixing my car said they gave me the wrong model for the cap & rotor. So I called pretty upset because now I have to get my kid ready again & go back! The guy that I spoke with is part of the reason for my poor review. He kept on making excuses & asked me if I gave the right information blah blah blah. Ummm the other parts I got were correct. Whoever you are, next time just apologize to your customer because you’ve inconvenienced them! Don’t try to argue with an already irate customer. You need to get retrained, dude. When i told him that this is such an inconvenience to me, there he goes again with maybe i gave the cashier the wrong info. I even handed that cashier a paper with the list of parts i needed with the year & make/​model of my car on it. This is my 1^st time in this location & I will never ever come back because of how you sounded on the phone.

The older white man over the counter was being a jerk and was making unnecessary comments.
I went to buy a license plate holder without knowing that they come in different widths since license plates are one size. As a result, I just picked a random one, but it ended up having a width that’s too short. The screw holes didn’t align with my plate’s holes. I asked if I could return them since I had JUST bought them and was trying to install it outside the store. He made the return process super long by taping up the return items VERY VERY SLOWLY in front of me before he would ring up my items and making comments on how the license plate holders all work the same. That was so rude. If the plate holder doesn’t fit my license plate, why should I use it instead of buying one that actually fits? I did not like his unnecessary attitude.
On the contrary, the girl in the front was super helpful in assisting me find the items I needed.

Been here a few times-​and they usually have what I need.
Stopped in this morning to get some wiper blades-​first big rain of the season in San Francisco. They had at least six different styles/​brands to choose from-​but The tablet they had set up for matching your car to the proper blades was not working. The book they had laid out was outdated and didn’t match any of the blades they sold. There was only one gentleman working with about a dozen people in the store-​so there is no way to get any kind of customer service.

Excellent customer service from older gentleman at counter. Wanted to do some small repairs to my car, and he not only was willing to show me where to locate items in shop but also assisted me in installing items and educating me on certain aspects of my mini car repair. Amazing person. Will update when I find out name.

Customer Service for the Birds! Went to the counter to ask for help. Short Asian man behind counter looks at me and says I’ll be right with you while he’s talking to a customer. The customer turns around and says «Oh how’s the family?» Salesman turns around and has a conversation with him and shows him his cell phone of pictures while I’m waiting. I go ask this young kid with glasses for help he stares at me like he doesn’t know nothing and doesn’t say a word. Another guy comes out and I ask for his help. The Asian salesman then helps another Asian customer. I said out loud that I’m going to talk with the manager. The Asian man then says oh he was paying me. I said that was not true you were showing him pictures and don’t lie. He kept trying to argue with me instead of apologizing while his Asian customer laughed. I don’t recommend this store will I never go there myself for anything. Worst store EVER!!! Hope someone reports them. I will be calling on Monday the manager to let him know what an awful staff he has.

Andy rocks! One time he tried to help me give me advice on car battery replacement and the next time he replaced my car wiper! Great service! Love all the crew there! Thank you!!! Local SSF gem!

I went to get new windshield wiper blades! The guys were slammed with customers, and RICHIE, the Assistant Manger helped me, and was so knowledgeable about different kinds for cars and price range. Well, I had told him I had ‘no pin’, bought my wipers and left.
I was taken back, because among his overwhelming line of customers, no help whatsoever at the counters; he followed me out to my car to double check to see if it didn’t have a pin. It did have «a pin»… :(
He didn’t even flinch, he took the wipers (and me) back into the store had to do a full return, put back on my card, and repurchase. He was so busy and didn’t have to follow-​through on such a level. I really appreciate that he remained friendly, efficient, and courteous! They definitely need to make him manager, he was one-​of-​a-​kind!
I will only shop here now, because of this great customer service, and that they really take pride in their work! Thanks, Richie!

I learned my lesson shopping around for autoparts on a need basis. This store has never given me issues and even if it’s $ 5 cheaper online or at a competitor my money’s well spent at a store like this and I’ll gladly pay if for the service the staff has given me here.

I «inherited» my sister’s Hyundai Sonata (and I AM NOT complaining at all – I was car-​less for 3 months and it was one of the worst times EVER. I felt shattered as a human.) I did not receive the car in cherry condition, however. I think the last time she changed the windshield wipers was during the Clinton administration. The driver’s side headlight recently burnt out. But worst of all, the horn doesn’t work! Got hella dangerous? She claims that her ex took the fuse out or cut a wire or something because she was acting hyphy with it when she was preggo, but I’m not so sure about the veracity of that story.
I walked into ORA sort of late on a Saturday evening. Awesomely, they are open until 10:00 p.m. PDT. That is SO CONVENIENT. It seems that nothing is ever open that late on the peninsula, especially on a weekend evening.
Luis helped me and he was great. I thought the horn fuse was blown on my car, and he really went above and beyond to figure out whether or not it was. It turns out that there was a problem with the wire and that I’d have to take it to the shop, but it was nice that he spent the time to help me figure it out.
He changed my headlight and windshield wipers too, and was totally nice about it. I was really grateful because I don’t know how to do any of that stuff myself, unfortunately.
Anyway, I really like ORA. I would definitely go back and ask for Luis. He is the man!

Went here after seeing it for a dozen times and was reminded how the wonders of the internet have driven the prices down for several things that shouldn’t be ridiculously expensive — like halogen headlamp bulbs. However, I suppose like Radio Shack or 7 –Eleven, auto part places will kind of be more of a convenience, hence the premium price you’d pay. $ 30 for 1 light bulb is kind of absurd, but if you NEED it right then and there instead of waiting a few days for it to be shipped I guess that’s all you can do. Bought some Turtle Wax and chamois towels for the car, but that’ll be the extend of my monies spent at places like these…

5 stars to great customer service! I bought a new pair of windshield wipers a few weeks ago, but recently the plastic part of it cracked. I no longer had the packaging or the receipt, so I was expecting to pay for a new plastic piece or a whole new wiper. However, the employee (Abu) carefully helped me find the same package, opened it and gave me all the plastic pieces free of charge and was super friendly about it. Thanks for the great help!

Have been periodically going here for years, pretty much when it used to be a Kragen. I’m usually getting some things here and there or for battery testing. Usually almost everyone in the store is pretty knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to customer service,…except this one short dude who acts as if he owns the place. He’s neither helpful nor I doubt that he has any knowledge. Even if he is a assistant manager or even manager, he still is not very helpful, pushes customers to other lines so he doesn’t have to use the register or help anyone thoroughly. Quick short answers don’t work for people who have expensive or labor intensive work needed. The reason you work at a auto part store is that your supposed to help people buy what they need so they can go on with their work.

New Year’s Eve… And I’ve been waiting since 12:30 pm! My dad is fixing my brakes, he dropped off some caliber thing from my brakes to resmooth. We were told it’ll be ready by 3 o’clock and they would call. 3:30 came around, we didn’t hear from them, so my dad drove down. After waiting around for 20 minutes, the guy comes out to say its worst than he thought, he needs another hour. 4:30 my dad drove down back down there, a guy tells him it’s almost done, have a seat. He waited about half an hour and when they went to check on the guy… He left for lunch! Wth! Where’s the communication!?! My dad came home extremely annoyed and now my plans for NYE may be ruined if I don’t have a car to drive!
seriously, why is this half hour procedure taking waaaay longer than it needs?! It is now 6:05pm… And I still don’t have a car to drive!

You know, I thought O’Reilly was an East Coast/​Midwest only thing. Cause you know, they have all their commercials during Nascar races and all.
I just needed some caps for my tires because they were lifted recently. Clearly those fools never got the «Don’t bleep with another man’s car» speech from Pop when they were young. It’s cool though. When you bleep with another man’s car, you set yourself u for Karmic payback that’s worth more than the few dollars I dropped for the specialty tire caps.
The store has a lot going on, the customer service is good and you can easily find what you need.

I had a great experience with Christopher! He was inquisitive and even took that extra step in helping me change the minor light bulb from my «gear changing» station. I was frustrated that no one could figure it out so I was going to return my light bulb when he asked if he could help me!
He’s awesome and experienced with Toyotas!
