I setup an appointment for last Saturday at 10am for a consultation for a new Central Air system. I emailed with Jeff on Friday saying I had something come up and had to leave my home by 10am so I needed the appointment moved up to 9am or rescheduled. He said 9am with the tech was fine. Well 9:30 comes and no one is there and I emailed and called Jeff. Finally I had to leave. Jeff emails me back saying the tech was there and no one answered the door so he left. How is that when my door was open with the stork door from 8:45am and my mother who was visiting in town was in the living room with me waiting. I also had a handyman working in my driveway since about 8:45 am. I said no way he came. And if he says he did and I didn’t answer, why didn’t he call me rather then just leaving? I never received an email back apologizing or phone call. Nothing to reschedule. I guess I will give another company over $ 10k in business since clearly they don’t need it!

I have used Christian for a few years for maintenance on my hvac. On this years maintenance check on ac the tech worked hard to clear a block in my drain. He found one ac unit was not working. He diagnosed a bad compressor. 21 year old unit. One of the sales guys came out and quoted be for new units. I chose to replace ac unit only. We made appointment to replace unit. They came put in unit. Very professional, clean and polite. Ac now works great
Assuming the compressor was broken I had a good experience with them. I mentioned that I was angry I didn’t get a second opinion. The tech installing overheard. Later on he said to me that from what he saw the compressor had all the signs of being bad. Made me feel a little better. As to price without getting second quote who knows if they overcharged. In the end I am happy and will use them again

When my HVAC system died last year, I called around for estimates to replace the 25 year old dinosaur with a more state of the art apparatus. Not only was Christian less expensive for equivalent mechanicals, but they did not attempt to oversell me on a product that my home really could not benefit from, regardless of rebates or government programs. Much appreciated.
They got the job done in one day, were neat and quiet, and gave me both a coupon for an additional discount and my first tune-​up as part of the deal. One year financing without interest was also a nice touch.
With all the heat and humidity this summer, I think of them almost daily as I cool down in my favorite chair with a tall glass of lemonade.

DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY INTO YOUR HOME. If you have no other choice and have to, then ABSOLUTELY DO NOT LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED NEAR YOUR HVAC SYSTEM.
I am just providing my opinion in this review, but I believe the tech from this company damaged my HVAC system in order for the company to rake me over the coals for $ 540.00. I will never use this company again, and I would strongly urge others to find a different HVAC Company.
My house has 2 zones for upstairs and downstairs. In July of 2013 I had to replace the downstairs HVAC system. I used Christian HVAC for that job because they were recommended to me.
$ 4,000.00 later they installed a new outdoor Carrier AC unit, and retro-​fitted the internal Trane Air Handler. (My internal unit was designed for the old R22 Freon, so I needed a new AC Coil on the inside air handler to work with the new outdoor Carrier unit that runs on Puron.)
This past Thursday I had a problem with the downstairs HVAC unit they installed. Around 4:00 the house felt warm so I tried to lower the temp, and the outdoor unit was running, but the internal air handler was not.
I checked unit and noticed my Freon line was ice cold to the touch, so in a panic and without anyone else to call I reached out to my Christian HVAC salesperson. I was going to call him soon to get pricing on replacing my other HVAC units, but that sure isn’t going to happen now.
He called me back and had me check a few things to troubleshoot the problem, the first thing he me check was if the unit was draining water because if the drain gets clogged water can back up into and freeze the system. I snaked drain cleared clog, but with the iced up Freon line he suggested I have a maintenance tech come out.
I got a call from their Dispatcher and got on the schedule for next day, and was told turn the AC off and to switch fan to the «On» position to put system into De-​Frost mode. I ran the De-​Frost for 4 hours, and at 12am the Freon line was no longer iced up so I turned the AC back on and it started cooling the house.
Next morning, I checked again and nothing was iced up and the first floor was cool, so I thought the problem was fixed. My salesperson called, and asked whether I wanted the service appointment or not. I said yes. We then agreed that he would call me the next morning to set up a time to come by and give me pricing for the new units that I have to replace. In hindsight he sounded reluctant for me to have the service appointment, maybe he knew what could happen.
Their tech arrived and I took him to units and I explained the history of the last 24 hours. Again, once the system finished the De-​Frost process the unit was functioning fine and my first floor was cool. What happened next was unbelievable — after the tech took the panels off the unit he asked me to lower the temperature so we could hear the system kick on.
Trusting person that I am, I left him in front of my units for 2 minutes while I went to first floor thermostat and lowered the temperature. I went back to basement, and the tech told me that the unit’s «Control Board» is fried and it will be a $ 550.00 repair job.
I cannot shake the suspicion that the tech in some way sabotaged my unit while I was away. The unit was working fine before he arrived.
The part that was installed can be purchased online for $ 120.00, and it took the tech maybe a ½ hour to install it.
I griped about the price and was put on the phone with Dan Jr. who more or less intimidated me into having the work performed. I told him about needing to have my other units replaced, and he then gave me a 20% discount on the job. «Great 440.00 is better than $ 550.00» I thought, but after I hung up the phone the tech then asked me about what Dan said to do regarding the «Service Fee». So I got back on the phone with Dan and was told I had to pay $ 89.00 for the diagnostic work the tech performed to «determine the problem with my unit». So I basically paid the $ 550.00 — $ 440.00 for the part and ½ hour install, and $ 90.00 for the tech to sabotage my system.
Finally, and I think that this more than anything proves I was taken, but I never got a call today from the salesperson about coming to give me pricing to replace the other HVAC units in my house.
I will never use this company again, and if I were you I would pass this review along to your friends and family so they are aware of how this company conducts business. And, if I were a new agency I would try to set up a sting operation to catch these guys in their business practices.
I will state again that my review is based upon my perception of how the events unfolded. I am not stating for a fact that the above happened, but I am a pretty handy guy and posses some knowledge about home repair work. Again, my AC unit was working fine until I left the tech in front of the system unattended — do not let them into your home and if you must do not leave them unattended!!!

I previously wrote a review for my experience but decided to do them a favor and remove it once the owner made it right by me. But after what happened today, I’m writing a new one!
After a horrendous experience, I spoke to the owner (Dave Sr.) 4 or 5 times and he told me to disregard any invoice because the tech didn’t do what he was supposed to and gave me ridiculous answers to my questions, and they were sorry. Great, I thought! I appreciate the honesty. To keep the background very brief, we had a crazy high electric bill, we made an appointment asking them to remedy this problem as well as tune the system up for spring/​summer since it had not been done in several years since we had been in a bad financial situation until this year and could not afford the periodic maintenance but wanted to get back on track with that and possibly restart a service agreement. The tech who was out was so rude and also not knowledgeable. He told me that my problems were because my cat’s litter box is in the same room as the heat pump (??) and that my house is poorly built. Mind you that my neighbors with older systems and the same unit (we are in a townhouse and all are the same) whom I polled had bills less than half of mine. Of course I did not trust this to be the reason I had a ridiculous bill. Anyhow, I had it reevaluated by a competitor because I knew this guy was just saying whatever he could to shut me up and get out of my house because he probably didn’t KNOW what was wrong. I paid that 2^nd company to fix it and they also informed me that the tune up I asked for wasn’t done by Christian — the coils were filthy and THAT was part of the problem! He cleaned them and did the tune-​up! I can’t believe Christian wanted to charge me and didn’t do what I asked! Anyhow, I had not paid their invoice because they didn’t perform the service. They must have thought I’d never realize they didn’t tune it up, how dishonest! Dave Sr had told me to disregard the invoice which seemed fair since I paid the other company to do the job correctly. All I lost was a day off work to wait for them but I can let that go.
Today I get a voicemail from «Bruce» who I have never spoken to before saying he’s taking me to court. This is over $ 99 might I add. I called him back and he was extremely rude when I told him about my conversations with Dave Sr and said he would have to investigate with Dave. I feel like I’m in the twilight zone. If this is really how you treat customers who have installed new systems with you at two different properties and always had a service plan until it was no longer affordable for us (spent at least $ 20k with you in the last 10 years, and my extended family were all customers as well!) there is really something wrong here… just zero respect. My entire family has decided not to use this company anymore. You’d be wise to follow our lead.

Where did all the bad reviews go consumers need to know about this company and I wish I knew about Unilocal business reviews sooner. This company sent a tech to check out my poorly running heat pump. Well after a two minute diagnostics by ear not tools/​meters, it was a bad electronic capacitor of some sort. Three hundred plus dollars later in under 30 minutes of work I was raked over the coals for 12 parts the easily pulls out and plugs back in. Hmmm service charge and 12 buck part. Wow I need to get this business!
Folks after any tech who reviews your HVAC system and tell you what the problem along with how much it cost to replace that part. Please ask for that part number review that part online and argue the price gouging. This company would not even call me back (part manager or office manager) so I could discuss that part price gouging.
A very expensive lesson learned from a company who says some BS about being Christian please read the next paragraph from their company profile!
The company is named Christian because the company was dedicated to the Lord. After all the years of the Lord providing for him, Dave wanted to give back to the Lord in some way. As an owner, Dave is dedicated to helping those less fortunate and extending a helping hand to ones in need.
Now that is a BS when you read that above crap! Oh I wonder what happened to all your bad reviews on Unilocal!There had to be at least twenty bad reviews yesterday!
Beware of these clowns!

Rude Service from the Service Tech and Manager. The company refuse to come and correct a mistake the service tech made, without paying additional fees. (This is with a service contract). There primary concern is to sell you a new unit at top dollar. I wish I would have read the review first.

I have used Christian Heating for many years and today I was once again happy that I called them. They were on time, courteous, and worked until the problem was solved.
I have only the best things to say about Christian technicians.

I have been a customer with Christian Heating & Air for over 10 years. Over the last 2 years their customer service has gone down hill. When we had a new unit installed their service guy wired it incorrectly and water leaked out onto my basement rug and when I regquested that the damaged rug be taken care of no one wanted to know me. And when I asked them to change the time of season that I get my tune ups my request was ignored. In my opinion I think they are just getting too big and have gotten away from the personal customer service that they used to provide. THey have alot of trucks out there and alot of mouths to feed now. My contract with them comes up on January and for the first time in over 10 years I am looking elsewhere.

We’ve been with Christian for two years; took bids to re-​do our dying AC system, and theirs made the most sense and came in at the lowest price. We’d been with Peters before that, for about 15 years, but their prices kept going up, and they’d lost the bids on this project and the new furnace we had put in before… and we just thought, if they’re higher on the installs, aren’t they higher on service? Turned out they were, so we switched to Christian.
The techs — then and since then — have been courteous, forthcoming, and clean up everything. Really like working with these guys.

I am generally suspicious of companies that claim to operate under a religious philosophy, and my experience with Christian supports that theory.
They are overpriced, dishonest, and more interested in protecting their suppliers than in keeping customers. They are task oriented, not customer oriented.
They misguided us on a huge maintenance problem that could have been covered by our warranty had they told us in time. A few calls to competitors has made me realize that they are known for these shenanigans and for their OUTRAGEOUS prices.
They lost a 6-​year customer and did so with a shrug. They have no interest in service and their «word of the Lord» language is just laughable considering their predatory business practices.
Ick.

I’ve used this group a couple of times. I prefer to try and hire people I know are honest.
It appears from the few times I have used them that they are.
They came when they said they would and completed the task to repair the problem.
This last time, just yesterday we had a problem with our air conditioning– central air.
He came and fixed it in a half-​hour. And was creative in finding a solution. However, he also said the work could not be gauranteed because there were other problems with the outside unit and it will probably need to be replaced soon.
