Fillin Station Grille

The bar staff is friendly and make a good effort to remember your name and address you by it. However… The ownership/​management leaves a lot to be desired! I’ve had to send food back several times — mostly because it was cold. I’ve also had to wait an excessively long time to receive my food, even when I was there in front of others. I have never had an owner or manager apologize for the food/​prep time and offer to comp it or even give me a free beer for my trouble. In fact, I sent food back today because it was lukewarm. 15 min later I got it back in the exact same condition! Never an apology nor any effort to «make it right». Unfortunately, even though the atmosphere is ok, I won’t be going back. Good luck if you try it…

Just left fillin station. Bartender is terrific. She is hardworking and engaging. Always fun to sit at the bar. However we are done with going and hoping to get a good meal. Ordered wings earlier this week. That the kitchen manager would let such overcooked wings leave the kitchen shows they don’t care. Today ordered a doubleBLT. Easy enough right. It had one piece of limp bacon on hard bread bartender is embarassed by what is served so she requests another order of bacon. 15 minutes later (they aren’t busy) still no bacon. I just sent it back and came home to make myself lunch. But as we were sitting and waiting 2 to go orders came up and both were wrong. Owner is not paying attention. Good news is AC’s steakhouse will open in march on Goodman road. They have outstanding sandwiches, salads and to die for steaks. Can’t wait till they open. By the way I have no affiliation with AC’s, I’m just a big fan.

The captain crunch chicken tenders with seasoned fries are wonderful! The beer selection is pretty great too. With 24 beers on tap, the choices are always changing. It’s great to be able to come in and try new beer!

Great wait staff! Super friendly and the food is great as well! The captain crunch chicken tenders are amazing! The happy hour specials are great but my favorite is pint night! THREE DOLLAR PINTS on Tuesdays. And they have TWENTY FOUR TAPS!!! Definitely Going back!

This place is so good. My family went there this past Saturday afternoon and it was worth it! My wife and I split the Captain Crunch (yes, you read that correctly) Chicken tenders – really good. My daughter got the Cobb Salad and it was huge and fresh! My son got the alligator bites which were delicious. My daughter wasn’t too thrilled with her burger – I think it was the Southern Burger – but that was probably just personal preference. However, the desserts were amazing! The cheesecake bites with caramel sauce – goodness have mercy!!! And the fried Oreos? I can’t wait to have them again! So good. You need to go. It is a great place to eat.

Our group came in for a fund raiser meeting I enjoyed the ghost river Gold of course it was good but the BBQ Bologna was delicious I truly enjoyed it I had to fight a fly or two but I enjoyed my experience our waitress was top notch nice.

Nice atmosphere outside with a live band. Not much food choice and I didn’t really enjoy the food.

The staff is very friendly. I came in for the Alligator Bites but ended up getting Soul Food. Very nice cozy place with plenty of room. Not to mention great Happy Hour Specials.

Been to this location several times to see bands play. It is a nice place with a really big outdoor seating area out front. Plenty of TV’s around for sports and a large area in the back for band to play and people to dance. I enjoy this location more than the other one by the Landers Center. I have always had a great time when I come here.

The good news is the wait staff are very friendly, but the food lacks. The alligator tail appetizer was small and WAY over cooked. I had a fried oyster Broke Boy and it only had 3 ½ over cooked oysters on it. One small tomato and tiny bit of lettuce. The waitress asked how it was and I said it tasted like bread because it was ALL bread. I told her about the skimpy ingredients and she said everything is pre packaged. Which means that’s what you get… As far as the burgers, fries and chips they are all good. But probably won’t eat there again. This was probably our 3^rd try.

Wife and I show up hungry and ready to eat. I ordered the gator po’ boy my wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich. I also ordered cowboy nachos (has pulled pork on them) for an appetizer.
We were informed after five minutes or so that they were out of pork. Waitress suggested to replace it with pulled chicken for my wife’s entrée. My wife decided she wanted to order something else so we the waitress asks her what she wanted. We needed a menu… So she gets us another menu she walks away and comes back in another five minutes or so.
Once returning she reminds us the cowboy fries also have pulled pork and she suggested chicken. We declined and opted for fried pickles. We also placed my wife’s replacement order for dinner.
Another 5 – 10 minutes pass and here arrive the BBQ chicken cowboy fries… That we didn’t want. I inform the waitress of the mishap and she tells us just to have them and we won’t be charged and that the friend pickels are coming. Sure fine by me.
Well then my son and I receive our dinner but nothing for my wife I can only assume because she had to change her dish. Worst was there was no acknowledgement of the fact we were apparently going to be experiencing a wait. No one ever told the kitchen to bump her meal in priority and the server was content with my son and I being halfway through our meal before my wife even got hers!
Food quality was okay. The gumbo was OK. And the PO’ was so so. Food wasn’t overwhelmingly hot and my fries were very cold. I’ll never go back.

First experience was horrible, but we decided to give it a second and third try. Staff was rude and the food was not good. Decent beer selection. Staff should be careful of the conversations they are having in front of guest.

I had to give this place a second chance because I did not like the first item I ordered (black and blue wrap). I’m glad I did because the second time around I ordered the Captain Crunch Chicken (kids menu but adult portion) and it was fantastic.
Both trips to the Filling Station were filled with great service. This place also has a great bar. I will be back to the Filling Station for a 3^rd time really soon.
