Food Geek Sandwiches & Beyond

Oh my goodness! So good! I work at St. Jude and I’ve seen their truck out, but I’ve never stopped by. Today I did, and it was the best choice I’ve made all day! My only complaint? I need more napkins! ;)

I love this food truck! The Cuban sandwich and potato salad really hit the spot after a beer at Memphis Made Brewery. The sandwich has the perfect crunch, but yet still soft bread, with delicious fillings! The potato salad is unlike any other, with a little bit of spice to it. They even let me taste the potato salad before ordering. Food geeks is one of my favorite food trucks in Memphis!

Philly Cheesesteak made with beer cheese and bbq sauce? Yes please! This is a massive cheesesteak and it came with a fork if you wanted to eat it that way (not me!). The bread was fantastic, a large roll that was durable enough to hold all the insides without ripping, but soft enough to easily bite through with no problem. I looooved the beer cheese they used and the bbq sauce was a perfect mix. If you are a cheesesteak lover, you’ve got go with this option.
Three things I loved about this food truck — 1. They were fast to complete my order 2. They had sandwich and taco options. 3. The food is delicious.

Holy cow. This place is good.
Close your eyes and imagine the perfect taco: slightly crispy on the outside and warm on the inside. Filled with fresh and delicious ingredients. Open your eyes. You are at Food Geek.
I had the Greeky tacos with Sirloin and my friend had the buffalo chicken tacos. We swapped so we could have one of each. Both were delicious — although I think I may have liked the actual chicken meat better (personal preference). Both were bursting with flavor.
A friend ordered the cheesesteak. Its basically ooey-​gooey BBQ nachos, minus the nacho part, add cheesesteak meat and a sandwich. It looked (and apparently tasted) phenomenal.
I’ll be sure track these guys down in the future. You should too.

My favorite foodtruck in Memphis!!!
I am totally hooked on the greeky geeky tacos!!! They have a few kid items which is very helpful so my kid can eat local with mama!
This is a family owned truck and they really seem to love what they are doing! It shows through their food and service. They travel all over Southaven area and Memphis area as well. I was so happy to see them at the Memphis Made Brewery one day I literally did a u turn! That illegal turn was definitely worth it too!
The pictures of the food kinda do it justice but you really just need to go try them for yourself! Follow their fb page for their location schedule and eat some really good food!!! Throw that taboo right out the window!!! Food Trucks are the next best thing happening in Memphis and the Tri State Area!

The grilled shrimp po boy was great. It was fresh and worth hunting them down, wherever they may be around town.

The food is so good and fresh! I will definitely be hunting them down again! I love the new additions to the menu! Keep up the good work!

The thing that stood out most about this food truck is the wonderful customer service you will receive. It’s a husband a wife run truck which means they take pride in the reputation of their business. You can see the pride from the cleanliness, to the quality of the food, and the service you’ll receive. Hope their business does very well.

So I’m a little late with my review for Food Geek but I will say this! I will be back to this food truck. I got the smoked chicken club sandwich ($ 8) and made it a combo for $ 2 more. The combo consisted of HOMEMADE chips with your choice of seasoning on the chops and a drink. I choose the garlic Parmesan and I was in heaven from the first chip lol. Then I took a bite of that huge delicious sandwich and I knew I was coming back. It had smoked pulled chicken, tomatoes, arugula, thick sliced bacon, smoked ham, cheese, and honey Dijon. I will be back cause this meal made my day. I recommend this food truck to any and every one!!! Tues-​Sat go visit them!

Great food! First time today at lunch and it was quick and hot! The Cuban and the pork pulled tacos are very good! If you have not been by there you need to go!

Chips are amazing, the BBQ sandwich was awesome and the pulled pork taco… Epic! Great food and the owners are great people. I highly recommend you skip the chain and eat real food for a change.
