Might try again but did not like the first experience. Chips were super greasy as well as a lot of the food there. We like our mexican to be very fresh.

Good Mexican food for this area. I always eat here when visiting Southaven. Had the southwest tacos this time and would definitely recommend them.

If you like prepackaged frozen Mexican food cooked in a microwave, this is the place to go. Our table faced the kitchen and we saw all. Stale chips. Taco Bell’s stepchild.

I’ve been eating at This restaurant for going on 5 years. The food is delicious. The staff and managers are great people. Happy hour is the best!

This location is my FAVORITE!!! The managers and servers always take such good care of us. The cooks always make such great food. We always know what to expect because we always get the same great service!

Very disappointed! Restaurant was half full and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table! Food was cold and my daughter’s nachos were a lot of chips and very little toppings. Used to bey favorite Mexican place to eat it I will not probably go somewhere else next time.

The food was pretty good, but the service was most definitely the worst service I have ever had in my life. The waiter never came to the table, but on the rare occasion that he did, he was gone again before I could give a request. I was overcharged, but after handing me my ticket he was gone and didn’t return for 15 – 20 minutes for me to tell him. As a diner, I like to give waiters the benefit of the doubt. But after an hour and a half of being completely ignored by my waiter, my patience was thin. Unless you have a couple of hours to kill, I’d head to Maria’s across the street.

My food was good but… our waiter was acting like he was in such a rush(despite it not being busy) the whole time. He came to our table about 5 times and would ask us if we needed anything but before we could answer he would run off. He overcharged us and he didn’t come to our table for another 20 minutes before we could let him know. Good food, bad service.

Best Tex-Mex in the area. The fajitas are awesome. And the Kahlua pie and brownie a la mode desserts are always great(when I have room left). Right now they have their seasonal Hatch chile dishes, like the burger(who knew?). Friendly servers.

Great food and fast, friendly staff! Their fajitas are incredible, as are their nachos. One thing is for sure, you will never leave this place hungry! The portions are huge(which is just the way I like it)! When you’re done with your meal, try one of their INCREDIBLE desserts(if you have room). Prices are good, and overall just a nice relaxing place for some awesome TexMex!

We love On the Border. Have eaten in them all over the country. Unfortunately our hometown does not have any locations so when traveling we keep an eye out for them. We visited this location twice, on the way to New Orleans and on way back. Both times same order. Both times the fajitas were served well ahead of the tortillas, in other words we had to WAIT while our server prepared them(at least that is what we were told). Also fajitas normally come out of the kitchen SIZZLING. These were warm as was the quesadilla, both clearly had been ready to serve but sat back in kitchen for quite sometime before brought to table. We gave them a second chance. The place was not busy and is just off the highway near a mall and other stores. I guess the locals know to stay away. Flavors still good but their timing in delivering food and all the parts that create a dish were off. I wish this location luck!

Just average, found the taco soup to be very bland, the chicken enchiladas did not have very much taste, it was like the chicken was cooked without any spices, service was good but not great,

I had an awesome experience at On the Border for lunch today. As a matter of fact, I’ve always had a good experience. Even when they are at their busiest, service has been nothing short of fantastic. Today, 5 of us went for lunch. Someone immediately came to the table to take our drink orders. I ordered a mojito in addition to water, and even though the wait was a little longer for the mojito(which was expected), the waitress made sure I knew she was checking on it and brought it out as soon as possible. And, of course, it was great!(You must try one!) She kept us in chips and salsa and drink refills. I always go for the create your own combo, and get a chicken flauta, since it comes with a side of queso(he he I feel like I’m cheating the system a bit ;)). The food was great, and she brought us the checks but didn’t rush us out of the door, like I’ve seen some servers do. All in all, a fantastic experience and I will definitely be back!

Service was horrible. Very strange drink order behavior on the waitresses part. I think she must of still been out to lunch. Took 20 minutes for me to get my margarita(that lacked tequila). My food along with my 5 other family members came out cold. Two of their tortilla soups were stone cold and they forgot the avocado on both. They forgot the rice and beans for one entrée and the tortillas for another. Rice was old and chewy. Took 10 minutes for the waitress to get my daughter ketchup. Same goes with her one scoop of ice cream. My husbands side of queso sat in the window so long that it had a thick film. Manager was asked to come over and he did adjust the bill, but that doesn’t make up for the entire bad experience. I will never go there again and will stick to Mi Pueblos. These people need to go to hospitality boot camp!
