Meet the Manager

MANAGERS A.

Manager

Manger Bob Amore has been in the restaurant industry for over 50 years!

He was in a family run business for 30 years. He then expanded his career by

managing one of the largest buffets in the country, Old Country Buffet.

Manager Kim Jadine has been in the Restaurant business for over 20 years.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel/​Restaurant Management and worked as a hotel manager for one year.

Kim then became a manager at Old Country Buffet and worked with that corporation for 15 years.

Both Bob and Kim now manage the All American Buffet and we both look forward to a long and prosperous journey together.

I used to take my kids here years ago for the breakfast buffet every Sunday morning. But the last time we went the food was so bad, my oldest refused to eat. We have not been back in oh about 4 years.
Today I decided to go back thinking maybe things had changed. Reviews weren’t too bad (after reading bad reviews about another buffet that just opened) so I went in with an open mind. Mind u I am not a picky eater at all! I eat cold food, food that has no flavor I really don’t care. Well this food was completely gross. Every time I ate a bite whether it was the fish, the meat loaf, the Mac n cheese, I bit something hard as a rock. Dunno what it was but it was a common thing and turned me off.
What was good and why I gave an extra star was the baked chicken and the zucchini. Everything else was nasty. My 12 yr old only liked the cottage cheese and the ice cream… We won’t be back… I wanted to like it :(

Food is very good. good selection. Fish is great, roast was great. server was nice and johnny on the spot. Sad that many people didn’t leave her a tip. Remodeling looks like it will be really nice when complete. I think it’s new owners and they are really taking it up a few notches from the «old country buffet» it use to be. Go before 3:30 for lunch prices. Sunday is dinner price all day, which is disappointing. We go regularly and never leave unhappy. They have a lot of kids events that look really nice too!

Staff were very polite but as for the food took me back to elementary school lunch room only thing good was the ice cream an the pop went on a Sunday called before I left with my husband an four cause dont say what there serving or the the prices on the web was told they had stake drove 30min. To get there no stake but the en manager went out of his way to make me one like I said very good staff will to please. BUT! Then went to the restroom theres piss all over EVERYONE of the toilets an floor walking in there made me feel like i was iceskateing brought it to the managers attention went back 20min. Later still not cleaned up they just put the caution wet floor sign up nasty WAY OVER PRICED 14.99 $ FOR DINNER AN KIDS ARE 6.00 $ THEY SHOULD HAVE PAID ME FOR MY GAS IT TOOK TO GET THERE!

If you are lacking taste buds this is the place for you. Everything is very bland. The salad bar was pretty good but who pays 13 plus for a salad? I thought I would give this place one last try but it is just how I remembered it from the last visit. I really wanted to like it.

My husband and I were here for lunch today, and it was pretty good. They are running a $ 7.99 lunch specials so the price was great, especially since it includes the drink. The soups looked day old, but the fish was amazing! The meatloaf was awesome too. I would definitely go back again.

It’s your run of the mill buffet place. It reminded me a lot of the old. Or try buffet food. I believe it was a tad more pricey then when it was OCB, but all the food was hot and well stocked. The desserts weren’t great, which happened to be my favorite thing at OCB. We went on a Tuesday when it was kids night. One kid eats free per paying adult and they had face painting. The face painting was great! They were doing whole faces not just a small heart. My kids loved it and I definitely will return on kids night.

Great and friendly staff and pretty clean, but nothing that I ate tasted good. The chili tasted sweet, the mashed potatoes and gravy had a very fake taste and even the green beans tasted bad. Desserts looked stale and messy.

Let me start by saying that I really don’t mind buffets. I actually like taking the kids to them because it’s easier than trying to get them all to decide what to eat before the waitress shows up.
Let me follow that by saying they are really over priced for the meal. It’s about $ 10 for lunch. I know, That’s not bad if you’re eating alone but I have 5 children. Imagine spending $ 50 to get a quick lunch for you and your kids. That’s silly. Not to mention you are waiting on yourself!!!
Aside from the price the food was tolerable but not good. Most of the items had bready fillers or were no even stocked. We finished eating before they brought out the carved items. There were a half dozen food items that were never refilled before we left.
The salads were not pleasing to the eye nor very tasty.
Perhaps you get more bang for your buck at dinner. Perhaps they are able to keep the food better stocked then. It’s sad to say I’ll probably never know.

We went to the all American buffett today. I read all the reviews and the menu on line. That being said there was very little in the buffett that was on the on line menu. No shrimp. No sausage and sauerkraut. Not a wide variety of vegetables. The salad bar was fair, but no better then any other restaurant. Some of our plates were dirty and it did not seem to be that clean. Yes some of the food was good except for the cooked veggies were bland or just not tasty. I can not recommended this place. It was not worth the drive from Saint Clair. I will not be going back.

Why did I really go here? worse when I got there why didn’t I leave? When I went in why didn’t I turn around and run back to my car? I knew it was going to be exactly what it was when I read the big sign at the register that read Buffet servers don’t make a lot of money so please tip them a dollar. The servers where super overly sweet and nice but the food not good for the hefty price of $ 13.95 + $ 1 for my server I left $ 3. Then I ate meatballs, chicken, ravioli, must say impressive salad bar I’ll give them that and spotless clean. It was worth about $ 7 tops then I wouldn’t be so harsh but for the price it sucked ok thanks for reading

Tonight was my first time here (I’d been before when it was actually Old Country Buffet). I have to say I was pretty pleased. The dinner selections were pretty awesome (the meatloaf was the BEST). I do agree the desert selections could be better planned but I have no complaints. The waitress clearing our tables was super friendly and very attentive. The restaurant was clean as was the buffet itself. I believe I will go back :)

Its pretty good. I think the deserts could be upgraded to meet the quality of the main dishes tho. I have been in about a dozen times, have seen a manager every time, yet I have never been acknowledged in any way. Just a smile or a hello would go a long way to improving customer service perceptions (at least mine) lol

2nd visit to this establishment. I went for lunch on a Monday. It’s plain average middling quality of food. I rather enjoyed the faux meat salisbury steak, turnip greens were ok, soup was way under seasoned. It’s what you would expect from a mall buffet. No surprises no star attractions. I only gave a 1 for two reasons. The staff actually was arguing in the main public room about who should do what and when as part of their job. Loudly. A major no-​no and a supervisor was standing nearby and didn’t intervene. Such a major no-​no. Then I went to the bathroom, and it literally stank so bad it made me puke. I’ve never had that happen. Sanitation is a big issue at this place as is the mediocre management. The best employee there was the service person busing the tables. She was efficient and hard working.

My wife and I was there a few days ago. I love open buffets and this is a place for any one else who does. There are many choices to chose from. They are quick to clean up your dirty plates from the table and asking how is everything. The one thing that I would like to see here is station where they cut and cook steakes to your liking. I am a veteran and they do give a discount. Just make sure you ask for it.
