This was my second time in a fuzzy’s. first time I thought it was great. This time reality is setting in. My biggest complaint is the cold doughy soft corn tortilla that encases each taco. Normally I prefer a double tortilla that has been warmed on the griddle. I liked the spicy pork and shredded beef tacos. This location was clean, extremely busy with friendly attentive staff. Overall this place is close to the neighborhoods and is a somewhat acceptable alternative to my favorite shop Torchy’s. And it is better than the Taco Cabana and taco bell.

It was rush hour but very fast service at this fuzzy location. I wish they have tempura vegetables taco with garlic sauce.

Ordered take out and wanted their chips and guacamole because it is the best. Took my lunch back to work and found they gave me queso instead. I was so dissapointed. Ruined my lunch. Checked my receipt to make sure and I paid for guacamole but didn’t get it.

Who doesn’t love Fuzzy’s? Great selection, facility, and staff. The food is always delicious and crave-worthy. Not much more to say beyond that! We are Fans-o-Fuzzy’s!

Pretty good! Not my first Fuzzy’s experience but I think this is the nicest location I’ve been to. I’m a fan of Mexican food and Fuzzy’s isn’t my first choice but I certainly don’t dread it when friends want to meet here either. The tempura fish tacos are good and the salsa is decent. My friend said the queso wasn’t great but I didn’t try it. I think my favorite option at Fuzzy’s are the shredded beef soft tacos. They remind me of street tacos and are just perfect!

I LOVE Fuzzys tempura fish tacos and small guac and have been to the Glade Road and Grapevine Mills location but Southlake’s location was a disappointment. Got there at 3:30 — off hour I know but the chips were cold and not crisp like they had been sitting out a while, had to push all the lettuce back to make sure there was fish in the taco and found two very small pieces. The guac was already turning dark on top from possibly also sitting out. Big miss here today. The other two locations in off times have serve fresh chips and guac with generous portions of fish. Probably won’t be back to this location and will stick with the other two. Sorry Fuzzys. :(

This was my first time eating at Fuzzy’s and it was surprisingly amazing! My hubby eats there all the time but for some reason I always declined the invitation when he would go. Now, I wish I wouldn’t have wasted time by missing out on such deliciousness! I had the taco plate: crunchy tacos with chicken fajita meat. Oh my word! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the feta cheese and cilantro that topped it made me wonder why I hadn’t let Fuzzy’s into my life before now! We got chips and queso for our little boys and we all devoured it. I don’t know what kind of seasoning is put on to those chips but I could eat those all day. My sides were seasoned black beans and Latin potatoes. The black beans were so good that I took them home and I NEVER take the beans home with me. I think I’ll be comparing any of my future ‘taco experiences’ to Fuzzy’s for sure. Too bad I didn’t take any pictures(darn). Oh and the restaurant was very nice and clean as well!

My very busy office eats takeout lunches from Fuzzy’s Southlake several times a week. We always split checks and every has some special way they want their order. We get our orders correct 99% of the time and thats five star takeout quality to me. The food is always delicious. Not sure about the mixed reviews because we are constant«demanding» customers and are all very happy!

This place had the worst Mexican food I have eaten in over 5 years. I do not recommend this place. You might be better off eating at chipotle.

OK, I have been to this place several times. The reason the reviews are so MIXED is because each time can be so different. Sometimes it’s really good, others it’s OK Sometimes the amount of meat is a lot. Others not so much. Sometimes it’s really clean in there, others it could use improvement. In general the shredded chicken and breakfast dishes are really good. The beef stuff gets lower marks and other reviews also reflect that. PRO’s: Decent Mexican food without having to pay tip. They serve breakfast tacos at night. Their WIFI is decent. They have TV’s with sports on. They have Coke Zero which not everyone has. CONS: As stated above, it could use more consistency. Sometimes it’s cold in there. My wish list: A hand washing station(which I have only seen at one restaurant).

I’m a big fan of their breakfast tacos here, which I get anytime of the day(and yes, even dinner). Friendly staff, great food, authentic environment… what else can you ask for in a sit-down taco joint? I’m a fan. :)

Well, it’s OK I guess. I went here for lunch and had no idea what to order but the place has«Taco» in the name so I figured they must be outstanding or something. They’re OK. I got 4 tacos, all crunchy. One was bean and cheese. Mainly bean. Weird. Also a rip off as it’s the same price as the other tacos, but it’s only two ingredients. This should be $ 0.99. I don’t even know why I got it other than thinking it must be outstanding but it’s only so-so. One was fajta-style beef, and it was awkward to eat. I’m from Boston so I don’t know how to eat a taco without it falling apart — and the big chunks of fatty beef are utterly awkward in a taco. Tough to chew. One was chicken — and it was shredded chicken with a nice spicy flavorful sauce. This was the best of the bunch. One was shredded garlic chicken and it was disappointing. Couldn’t taste any garlic whatsoever. They are super stingy on the cheese, for some reason. It’s like 8 – 10 little sprinkles on top of the taco, so it all falls off as you try to eat it, so really there’s no cheese on these tacos. I’m also sitting here starving. I mean, I had 4 tacos — I should be stuffed! But I’m still hungry! What gives?! I’ll probably go back and get something more substatial next time. But, in the future, if I’m hungry, I’ll pass when I see a «Fuzzy’s Taco Shop»…

Hidden some what in a shopping center but worth the find. A great place for lunch Reasonable prices and can get you in and out in plenty of time. Go for the tacos. The hot sauce is perfection. Queso is great as well.

Great little sleeper in Southlake. Forget about the chains. This is authentic Mexican. Friendly family run place with great service. I really like the fresh salsa bar with incredible hot sauce. Prices are very reasonable. Most important, food is both fresh and tasty! I had flour tortillas with egg whites and spinach. Fantastic. Also triied the carnitas. Tender, perfectly cooked pork in a tortilla. Nothing fancy here. Just great food.

This was about my third visit to this Fuzzy’s location. I went there for lunch with my work«lunch bunch», and today I had a bowl of tortilla soup and two breakfast tacos(one each of chorizo and bacon). I do give them major props for serving breakfast all day; I’m ALWAYS in the mood for scrambled eggs and tasty animals. The tortilla soup was not really traditional, but Fuzzy’s as a concept isn’t really about authentic. It was thick, almost like Brunswick stew, and not too different from it in terms of ingredients. I prefer it thin, more of a broth base, with some avocado, but this wasn’t that way. Still, with some hot sauce, it was a decent starter. As for the tacos: All of Fuzzy’s soft tacos are served on flour tortillas which are pretty large for tacos(probably 5 – 6 inches) and a little thick. Again, not traditional at all, and I think they’d do themselves a favor by offering a corn option. The eggs were dry and not very inspired, and hot sauce didn’t even help that much. The meat fared a little better; the chorizo was flavorful and the bacon had a good flavor as well. A prominent Dallas food writer once said of Fuzzy’s: «It’s a taco joint for people that hate tacos». That’s a little harsh, but know this: If you’re expecting Mexican street tacos, you won’t find anything like it at Fuzzy’s. If you like tacos heavy on the American, you might get some good fare on a good day. This just wasn’t their best day.

It’s Lent and I was looking for fish and decided to give a couple of Fuzzy’s fish tacos a try. They come grilled or fried, on a crispy taco or soft tortilla, habenero or not(habenero means a cup of flaming hot sauce on the side). Here’s my recommendations: Go fried, not grilled, as it’s not as salty. Go soft, not crispy as it seems you get more veggies on it(I think it’s the open vs. closed concept here). I like the flavor of the white queso, but it’s not thick enough for me. My recommendation: Skip the salsa and queso and instead use the excellent hot-sauce on the tables. Wash it all down with a big schooner of Moose Drool. Bottom line: Still A-OK in my book.

Whatever issues other reviewers are having must be isolated. I have been here three times — and plan to go back at least three more times :) Yes this IS my new addiction It is a casual, line-up-and-wait taco place. My favorite is the fish taco(grilled fish, soft flour tortilla). The best thing about this place is that you can order one taco of this and another taco of that. Chips, salsa and guac are extra. One of the only things I don’t like here is that the chips are seasoned with some kind of chili salt. This place is a good deal — even for Southlake. I think whatever problems people have experienced at this location will be solved.
