This is probably one of the best Kroger’s in the area. The workers in all of the departments are very friendly and do not hesitate to answer any and all of your questions. The Southlake location is always well maintained and very clean compared to the Kroger’s in Euless and Los Colinas. We use the pharmacy here quite often for mess and for travel vaccinations. The pharmacy management and the workers are caring people who with over time you can begin to develop a rapport with. Same goes for the deli people. There is a deli guy named Red who really goes above and beyond. He slices and dices for what you ask for and at the same time asks how things are going. My only complaint about this location is there it does not have a Kroger gas station. I can’t blame the store in this so I won’t take away a star for this reason. On occasion there might be an issue with a purchase, but have no fear the customer service depart will issue the price difference without any hassle. Extra bonus here is that there is an ample, beer and wine selection to pare with your fresh veggies, seafood and meat purchases. You might not soak all this in, in just a few visits but over time you will see why this Kroger deserves 5 stars.

This kroger is awesome! Prices were good and the fresh market was reasonably priced and looked really good. Good pieces on produce and my other normal groceries. I saved about $ 30.00 going here then my normal grocery store. I will definitely make this my new grocery store.

Don’t shop here, rude employees and customer service. I asked for a manager and was told to call a 1−800#. I will not return or shop here ever again, furthermore Kroger company will never get my business again due to poor management and poorly run stores.

HEALTHCODEVIOLATIONS!!! I have shopped at this Krogers for the past 6 years and for the most part, have never had much of an issue, until today. As I was walking past the deli counter, I just happened to look over and see the employee who was re-stocking FRESH cuts of meat… WITHOUT gloves!!! Bare handed, wiping them on his dirty smock, touching the trays, and then touching the meat. In my disbelief I had to take a triple take. Upon the triple take, I witnessed another employee drop some fresh grind off the counter on the floor, and then PUTITBACKINTHEPILETOUSE!!! This all happened an hour ago, I finished my shopping(boxed goods only, thankfully), got home and spoke to the manager on duty, Paul.(Pretty sure that was his name). I will be filing a formal complaint with he Tarrant County Health Dept. first thing Monday morning. And possibly, becoming a vegan:(

Strange layout. No fuel available here. Seemed like they closed a bit early, Sunday at 9 meat and seafood were all put away. I’m going to check out another location near by. I’m sold on Kroger, just not this one. I hope the other is just as close. Meh.

Good general purpose grocery store. Clean, well-stocked and accessible. Good parking lot in front. Friendly staff.

Whenever I walk in the store, it has a bad odor. I usually find food laying on the floor in the aisle. Just seems very unorganized. That being said, I like the prices and employees are friendly.

If you buy bread, check the date. Its probably within a day or so of the ‘sell by’ date. If you buy produce(if they have any that day), look at it carefully to see how old it is. I’ve bought soggy mushrooms, kale with colonies of insects(I wish I were exaggerating!), I’ve seen soft cucumbers, and already out of date stuff in the fake meat and cheese section. Once I bought shrimp on ‘managers special’ so I expected it to not be the freshest, but it was really, REALLY rank. I bought shrimp again but from the meat counter and when I brought it home it reeked of ammonia. I had to go back and return $ 20 worth of shrimp in the middle of the night because it was NOT going to stay in my house. I wrote corporate an email and they sent me a voucher, but when i tried to go use it, the store didn’t know how to process it. The front end staff are really nice but a lot of the people in other departments have gotten rude and unhelpful. as of 10⁄2015 they’ve gone through their second remodel in recent years. This sounds like they’re desperately trying to fix the wrong thing. Like when restaurants mysteriously go through a bunch of advertised ‘new management’ changes. I stopped shopping here, I don’t have time to go back to return food every week — again, I wish I were exaggerating.

I’ve shopped at Kroger locations for over 20 years now. The stores tend to be fairly clean, sanely arranged and have a decent selection of goods(although some do better than others in this regard). This was my first visit to the Southlake store, located in that hoity-toity suburb where everything needs to be clean, neat and preferably part of a big chain that everyone recognizes. Bad for restaurants(IMO), but a little better for grocery stores. Coming in to the store, the upscale feel is immediately apparent. The selection of goods, the layout, the presentation — it all says«We know you have money, spend it here!». I found prices to be a tad higher than the store close to my home in Allen, but still reasonable. The produce area, in particular, looked very nice and seemed to have a good selection, but I was just there for a few dry/frozen goods. I was able to find what I needed and got checked out quickly. Bottom line, yes, it’s a grocery store, but it’s nice and feels inviting, and that’s a big plus.

i have shopped here for years, but have had to move on. Very short weight on the chicken breasts.(multiple purchases and weight checks). I can’t get bread or produce home before it is moldy/rotten. Produce has become extremely low quality Pricing has become outlandish.

Love this Kroger. The floral, produce and bakery, frozen foods departments are 5 stars. But the meat department is lacking in my opinion. Also, they have a good wine selection, but their import beers are lacking. We like Peroni and Cider beer and they do not carry much of a selection. The clerks and workers are really friendly.

I use Kroger because of its gas rewards and it has the biggest selection in Southlake for groceries. The prices are okay if you shop the specials… Nice produce selection… An issue I do have is Kroger seems to manipulate the meats — Their sodium content is higher in fresh chicken than anywhere else, so they must inject sodium to increase weight… I no longer buy my meat here without looking at the nutrition labels — if they have not added anything it is okay — but overall I just buy everything else at this store and get my meats elsewhere. Customer service is friendly and helpful… and I like the bakery samples…

I would frequent this place more often if they actually cared for their customers. Last night I had a cartful of groceries and was forced to check out in self-checkout. Self-checkout is fine if you have a few items, but extremely inefficient for a cartful. Also, a kid from that had purchased some jars of peppers about 10 minutes before came back because he got the wrong ones. When he asked to return them(unopened with receipt) and buy the right ones, he was told he could return them and he could only purchase the correct ones. What a way to take care of your customers…

This Kroger’s always stocks everything I need, and I’ve never had to wait more than a couple minutes in line if there’s any line at all. The staff are helpful and friendly… just makes grocery shopping less of a chore. I haven’t shopped at Kroger many times before this one, but if the others are anything like this store I’d highly recommend them all. This is my grocery store now, I’ve just moved to Grapevine in March but I’ve been here 4 times already and I will continue to go back for sure.

Since the renovation this store has a much nicer feel. I find the prices reasonable on most items. The produce section and deli are fairly nice. I like that you can buy apparel to support the local high school sports program.

Typical grocery store with a nice layout, which I am indeed interested in when it comes to where I shop. The labels are kind of old looking and being weirdly into aesthetics, this kind of bothered me. But my main point of contention for four stars is the fact that they indeed carry and had in stock Graeter’s ice cream. WINNER!
