I DON’T SEE HOW THIS SCHOOL IS NAEYC ACCREDITED! WHO WOULD LEAVE THEIR CHILD HERE?!
I started my online search for a good preschool for my 4 year old to attend in August to help prepare her for Kindergarten. I went to the NAEYC website & searched for accredited preschools & found this one, so I added it to my list of preschools to tour. I scheduled a tour online with their great «chat online now» feature on the Kindercare website. I had a lovely conversation with a online rep & I asked about tuition & the schedule, he answered every thing & got me pumped to go on this tour! I scheduled it for 2 weeks later & the day of the tour we all were so excited to go! The day before the tour another rep from a 1800# called to verify my tour, enthusiastically I said «We’ll be there!»
Included with me was my husband, my 4 year old & also my 1 year old. (I asked ahead of time during my online chat if that would be ok) First thing that struck me as odd is this school is located literally off the high way. It’s difficult to get to & the outside appearence definitely leaves a lot to be desired. We walk into the building & immediately get smacked by the smell of Taco Bueno. There is a very large woman in the office to my left who comes to the door to let my family & I in. Although I scheduled this «tour» ahead of time we seem to have interrupted a lunch date because there were 4 – 5 women that scrambled around back to their offices once we walked in. One woman even stayed in the office while we came to sit down, Meg, the director, asked her to leave so my husband & I could sit down. As of now, I can feel that my husband is completely unimpressed & so am I. We sit & Meg says some vauge, things to my daughter (Your hair is pretty, What’s your name, ect) in the fakest tone possible. She had a box with a Mr. Potato head set in it which my daughter immediately was distracted by. We sat & talked about some basic things & I was expecting to quickly get up out of this office & begin the «tour». She stated that all of the children were sleeping. She said that they have 2 hour nap times daily in which the normal «teacher» who is with them takes a 2 hour break & another employee will watch them during nap time. I asked about turn over rates, who all would be taking care of my children, what their curriculum is, all to get sketchy answers. After my husband & I asked a couple more questions we asked if we could «see where our daughter would be staying» (we had to ask for her to give us the tour!) she takes us to the space outside her office that is sectioned out with clear plexi-​glass walls. She said that was the «area» that all 18 preschool children would be held. The space looked like what I’d imagine a room at one of those places shitty parents have to go to be supervised when watching their kids would look like. It looked kinda jail-​ish. Also, there is no door to contain all of the students from not running into other rooms, or to the back to the playground– into the highway. Also, a reason I mentioned one of the employee’s size previously was not to be mean, I’m not a size 2 or myself. The reason I mentioned it is because when I walked in 3 of the 5 employees I saw were extremely overweight & there is no physical way can provide the care & energy needed for 18 3 – 5 year old kids. We didn’t get to see the playground area or any other part of the facility. We go back to Meg’s office & she gives us a info packet & we tell her we’ll be in touch if interested.
I didn’t see or hear one child at all in the facility the entire «tour» the place was dirty, the director is fake & gives off the impression she doesn’t care about the education or care of my child/​just her corporate position. I didn’t meet who would be taking care of my child. I asked about their accreditation & saw a flyer on the wall about it but the NAEYC should be embarassed. It goes to show you sometimes accreditations don’t mean anything. If you are looking for a low grade&overpriced daycare with underqualified employees who don’t care about your child & are just there doing their shift– try this place! Don’t schedule a tour though, they’ll waste your time.

We transferred here from another nearby preschool/​daycare. KinderCare has their competitors beat on every level. Caring, professional staff. Ever-​changing yet structured curriculum. Healthy menu. High standards. Unlike the last daycare we were at! We have yet to find any negatives here. Can’t say enough about the kind, loving teachers. My kids love them!

I finally went back to work after being on maternity leave for 3 months. I went back to work rather suddenly and needed to find a daycare that I felt comfortable with and could trust with my first born daughter. Meg and her staff are absolutely phenomenal. They constantly work with motor skills, sensory skills, sharing, learning to sit up, crawl, standing and walking. They accommodate your child’s specific needs, feeding schedule and napping schedule. From her teachers to her fellow classmates and the overall classroom setting she’s always in a great mood when I pick her up. I would recommend this KinderCare to anyone!

My son has been going here since he was 17 months old and he just turned 5 so I consider myself a good candidate to write the first review. All in all, even with some iffy teachers at times, and some manager turnover, I have nothing but high regard for this center. The management team always listens to concerns, answers questions and they even make changes if your suggestions are good for the children. I appreciate the open door policy.
The children are loved, well cared for, and safe and you can’t ask for much more than that.
They have extra programming in the form of phonics, math, Spanish and cooking to name a few which cost extra beyond regular tuition but may be well worth it. My son has participated in the phonics program since he was 3 ½ and I think it has really helped him with early reading.
I’m excited to move my child into kindergarten at public school next year, but will still utilize the Kindercare facilities for after school care.
