Was only there once and found it to be an OK place for a quick bite. There aren’t many really good places of this nature anywhere on the East End of Long Island in my opinion. Personally I’d rather travel to Smithtown — St. James area and eat at Maureen’s!

If you are coming here for a friendly smile you will be disappointed, but if you desire a good breakfast served within 15 minutes, this is the place. Erik and his staff are like zombies from The Walking Dead, but the food is good.

I am a fan of a place that reminds me where I am, especially when I am on the north fork? YES It has a great atmosphere, the patio always makes me feel relaxed and ready to start the weekend. The food is delicious, and the staff is always going beyond. Do I love the self service for water, YES. It feels less complicated and less pretentious. When I ask my boyfriend what he likes about Erik’s, he says«Tastes good?» Well from him, that is five stars because he is so picky.

I stopped in for lunch the other day and it was pretty good. Although my appearance may seem other worldy or as some might say«Godlike» I still require food to fuel my insanely powerful muscles and brutally handsome physique. I allowed the cashier to gaze upon me for a few moments and then placed my order. The food was served in a timely manner and I used my face to eat it. I was not blown away, or disappointed. Erik’s is a solid place and I recommend it, even if you aren’t as much of a bad ass as me, you may still enjoy it.

Great place to come during the summer. They have the patio open. They have a small menu. But everything I’ve tried here is as fresh as it comes. The raisin bread tuna fish sandwich is a must here. The homemade veggie burger is one of the best around. Very helpful and professional staff.

We are regulars at Eriks. They are a great choice for breakfast or lunch. The food is great, the staff is always welcoming polite and accommodating. Try the omlets and the chicken salad sandwich. Never had a meal we didn’t enjoy.

Sweet, clapboard house with screened-in porch offering truly delicious paninis, wonderful coffee(regular, not expresso), cookies, salads, sandwiches and muffins. Warning: breakfast only served until 11. Nicer atmosphere than other casual Southold breakfast/lunch places.

Don’t stop by near the end of lunch. The very appetizing overpriced sandwiches were delivered to our outside table at 2:15 pm. It was a very warm day but the industrial floor fan kept the heat and the flies to a minimum. At 2:40 pm, the hovering waitstaff turned off the fan and proceeded to drop then empty the garbage cans next to our table. Then they took the condiments off the tables and out came the spray bottles for clean up right next to our table. Then they came by every 3 minutes to take any portion of our meal we might be finished with. Several times we had to ask then to give the glass or plate back, we were not done. With the flies and the heat escalating, I can’t remember a more unpleasant dining experience.

I asked my dad if there was a good place for breakfast on the North Fork, and he didn’t miss a beat before saying: «Erik’s». Based on the speed and clarity of his answer, my expectations were probably set a little too high. It’s a perfectly fine place, just not anything terribly interesting or special from our experience. They have standard breakfast fare in the morning: pancakes, waffles, french toast, egg sandwiches, omelettes, and breakfast platters. Among the dishes we ordered, my daughter won with the french toast. It was very well-prepared and delicious(soft and custardy on the inside, crusty on the outside). I had a breakfast platter with eggs over-easy(which was fine) and my wife had the Mexican omelette(which she found disappointing). The potato hash that they serve with the egg dishes includes carrots and parsnips(and maybe turnips?), which was a nice change from the usual. The ordering/seating process is a bit odd, so it’s worth knowing what to expect: there is a host stand at the entrance, and a sign that says«wait to be seated». The host assigns you a table number, but instead of going to your table, you’re supposed to just go inside and order from the cashier. After that, you can go sit at your table, and a server will bring your food. I’d recommend Erik’s for a casual breakfast. The food is good but not outstanding. The atmosphere is nice(outdoor tent in the summer) and casual, and the service is friendly.

While the food is wonderful in a classic all-american way, the service truly leaves something desired. After being denied a simple custom order(tomato on my grilled cheese), I gave it another visit soon thereafter despite the lack of accommodation. While the ambiance is adorable, the air of displeasure by the staff outweighed any compliments I can provide. Erik, as I found out later, was the one manning the register both times and gave complete attitude despite my pleasant demeanor. Moral of the story, order your food to-go and keep your expectations of friendly interaction to an all-time low.

We always stop at Erik’s when we are out in Long Island. Best tuna sandwiches and veggie burgers I’ve ever had.

It doesn’t matter if there food is good because their attitude and their service is terrible. This is the second and last time we will come here. They assume that you should understand their ridiculous seating and ordering system and when you don’t they get an attitude about it. They have a woman at the register that is completely incompetent and can’t take an order. She writes every single thing out instead of writing shorthand. We tried to give her the next part of our order and she gave us an attitude because she was still writing the first thing we said. Seconds after placing our order the host opens the door and barks at us that we needed to wait outside. We also waited an hour for our to go order which was wrong! Breakfast sandwiches! Not a gourmet meal!!! Worst service ever! This business is heavily dependent on the patronage of the visitors that come to Greenport. They should learn to manage this business better and they should find a way to have a better attitude! I wish I could wipe the salsa from their ranchero wrap off my face and forget this whole experience, but they forgot to give us napkins. I can’t stand them!!!

Was directed here by a friends daughter for breakfast… but we were running a little late. So we had lunch. Sat on the porch on the side as it was a very nice day. I had a turkey panini, the cranberry sauce made it! My better half had the Ruben and it was just ok. If I get back to the area I will try to be a little more time sensitive and get there for breakfast.

Love the décor and the food. The opposite of pretentiousness and welcoming. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing.

Erik’s is a cute little place along the side of the north road. They make a solid breakfast that doesn’t disappoint. I got whole wheat pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes could have used a little bit more moisture, but that was nothing some fresh maple syrup couldn’t fix. I’ve also had their flounder sandwich for lunch which is totally delicious. It’s a great place for a quick bite for breakfast or lunch when in Southold.

We needed a place for breakfast, and Erik’s was it during our Valentine’s Weekend getaway. Cute little place with quite a few seating in the tent outside, but it was about zero degrees out and snowing that morning, so we opted to sit at the little bar by the window inside. The waffles with fruit was good and the pastrami hash was okay. Great place for a quick meal if you’re in the area.

I think Erik’s has the best brunch on the East End. You can order whatever you want, there is a lot of seating and they are really nice. I love going here. It’s a lot of fun to be there.

We stopped here before we rode the Long Island Ferry. We were worried that we were not going to find a place to eat. We walk in and the menu options look interesting and your not sure what to try, because it all sounds delicious. My family orders: Pastrami hash, three of us order the french toast with bacon, and the breakfast sandwich with a fruit parfait. It did take some time to receive our order, but it was absolutely worth the wait.

I stopped here with my boyfriend before doing a couple of wine tastings – To describe this cozy nook as a local gem would be an understatement. Erik’s is perfect if you are looking for a flawless and flavorful lunch in a casual and unpretentious setting. The tables overlook wine country which was a great touch! I had a chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread, and every element was elevated: the chicken salad was moist with flourishes of garlic and curry(super unexpected, not overpowering, and a perfect way to try curry if you’re afraid of it!), instead of plain lettuce I received mixed greens, and my bread was toasted. It was satisfying and delightful and exactly what I was in the mood for. I would suggest, however, adding a sprinkle of salt and pepper; the sandwich needed just a hint of it. Easily the BEST chicken salad I’ve ever had though! My boyfriend got the hot pastrami on rye and loved that as well, slathered in spicy mustard and Swiss. I took a bite and it was better than any Jewish deli I’ve ever been to, and the french fries were crisp and addicting. The icing on the cake was that even though this place operates using counter-service, a staff member still came along and asked us how everything was and made sure we were happy, which is a plus in any book. Would absolutely come here again and I recommend it to anyone visiting LI wine country!
