Apple Tree Montessori School

I am very disappointed with the treatment my two year old boy received in this institution. He was enrolled for less than two months and then my child was expelled for allegedly failing to meet the expectations of the montesori program. The explanation that they gave us, is that my two year old boy did not have enough ability to concentrate because «he would not sit down on a circle». He is two years old, he was enrolled only for less than two months…
I think the philosophy of the montessori program fails at treating people (students and parents) with respect. Their «new toddler program» which you can read in their website (
) is absurd. They only receive toddlers that «have the desire to learn, the ability to concentrate and who display self-​control» I wonder myself if there is such character in the profile of two year old kids. I can’t help but think that this is just an excuse they use to hide behind the mask of professionalism and academic quality, to simply segregate away those children who would represent a little more effort in their daily work for them as educators. It hurts to think that issues such segregation have not disappeared in this country and have simply changed the subject in question. Previously it was the color of your skin that defined what were the chances of a person in certain places or circumstances. Today we find this type of retrograde institutions such apple tree montessori in which managers are behind the mask of academic exceptionalism to hide away from different people, who according to them, would not be well within their pre stablished framework.
