Thank you, Honorable Ed Royce for hooking up my group with tour tickets to the Bureau of Engraving and the Capitol tour.
I contacted his office via his web site about 1 month prior to my trip. I knew it was a long shot on the tour, but being it was February, a slow season, I hoped we could get at least 1 tour.
We were not able to get the White House, but the Bureau of Engraving was worth it, and at 2:00 we went to his office to be escorted for the 2:30 tour. Staff member Paige greeted us, took our coats and purses to store, and walked us «underground» through the Longworth House building and the Cannon House building to the US Capitol Visitor’s Center.
After we took the Capitol tour, Paige met us and escorted us back to Mr. Royce’s office to pick up our personal items.
