Paws To The Wall

This place is no longer at the listed location. She is off of 208^th in a yellow house. I just finished my third time using her for my two dogs. The first two times were great. This time it got ugly. Not the dogs, but the way the owner did business with me. The first two times I was charged a total of $ 100 and paid with my credit card. I assumed that everything would be the same seeing as the dogs were looking about the same. Well we know what they say about assumptions. That was my first mistake. I should have asked what the price was going to be and if they still took credit cards before I left this morning. I was running late because I had forgotten about the appointment but the owner was very forgiving and still took the dogs. I got a call a couple hours later saying that they were done. GREAT! She said that «they were really dirty and like she told my wife it was going to be $ 60 per dog» Not great but meh!, they were dirty and she does a good job so ok. However, she never talked to my wife, but I didn’t take the time to correct her. She then said she needed to me to bring cash. HELLO! I didn’t know that. We use our credit card for everything and won’t have cash until the end of the month. I tried to explain to her that I’ve used my credit card at her place before and didn’t have the cash. That’s when she got defensive. Saying that she told my wife that she didn’t take credit cards anymore. «Ummm, ma’am», I said, «you never talked to my wife.» Well now I just sound like I’m back peddling because I didn’t correct her the first two time she said she talked to my wife. She’s never talked to my wife. I’ve always done this as a surprise for my wife and she doesn’t even know where I take the dogs. My wife is out of town and this was going to be a surprise too. I think the owner had me confused with another customer. Anyway, it didn’t matter, I didn’t know they weren’t taking cards. She said that I could go to my bank and pull it off the card. Yes, yes I can, for a FEE! I called, it’s a $ 10 minimum. That’s a lot! I asked if she could take that amount off the charge and she said, in a mean voice, «I worked my butt off on your dogs, that is my charge!» Then she said «I can’t release your dogs until you pay $ 120 in cash» and hung up on me. I put my kids in the car and headed to the bank. While I was in the bank her husband left me a voicemail saying the same things she had said but added that there would be additional charges if the dogs stayed overnight. Thanks buddy! I tell you I wouldn’t have the money until the end of the month and you say I’m gonna charge you more. Well, I got charged the cash advance fee but pulled out the money. When I pulled up there was a man with a gun on one hip and a rather large knife on the other. Great!!! My kids are going to see me shot over two dogs. I walked in the door and the husband was standing there. I tried to explain everything to him, asking if they understood that what this has done has lost my business in the future. Was $ 10 worth loosing $ 100 every three to six months? She was sitting around the corner and apparently it was worth it. I tried explaining that if they would take credit cards and just add a fee to it that it would be worth if for them and the customer. They were not having it and with the lone gun man standing between me and my kids I thought it best to give them the money, get my dogs and get out of there. I tried one more time to make piece by saying sorry to the husband for the way things turned out and that the dogs looked great! He shook my hand and asked me not to burst through the dog again. What?! I didn’t burst through the door. I said «I feel I acted great considering you have an armed man here to meet me». He wanted to get into gun laws with me and I decided it was time to leave. I feel I handled it really well with my kids when I got back in the car. They wanted to know about the man with the gun. I didn’t want to scare them so we had some fun with it saying he was a cowboy. :-) Review reader, I would just go to someone else. She has always been very friendly to me. But when I needed her to work with me, it got ugly. I’m glad I got this written out. It has given my hands some time to stop shaking.

The groomers at Paws to the Wall are one of a kind! I have Been taking my dog Boomer a cattle dog there I think almost 2 years. The price is great and they never complain when he misbehaves. This place is way better than Woofers that is just down the street.
