Blue Ribbon Meat & Butcher Shop

We get a lot of our meat from Blue Ribbon. We especially love their bacon burgers, Chuck Wagon Steaks, T-​bones, round steak (perfect for my Swiss Steak), specialty sausages (including the Greek and Swedish), bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers, lamb, and gyro meat. The only meat products that are not gluten free are the ones that are pretty obvious (have breading or are stuffed).
The customer service is great, too. In fact, my son calls the owner «Mr. Meat Man» and has for several years.

We hit this place (normally) once a month for a pre-​packaged box of meat for our freezer. Always good about substitutions (if needed) and the meat is high quality and reasonably priced (around $ 125 per box of various meats).
Highly recommend this place for all of your meat needs!

Wow, I cannot express how awesome the customer service is here! I stopped in looking for prime rib. There were 4 people in line ahead of me. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and they let me know they were working with others but would be right with me. Just a few seconds later another employee stepped around the corner and invited me over to the counter to help me. He was super friendly and helped me decide exactly the size of the prime rib I would need. They have seasoned and unseasoned, on bone and without bone for their prime rib selections. We discussed how I was going to cook it and opted for bone in, unseasoned. I checked out their counter items while he was cutting my prime rib. I also decided to get a pound of the country sausage as I think the hubby will like it as well.
Great butcher shop, awesome customer service with excellent quality of meat. FYI, the prime rib was AMAZING! I will be returning for sure!

First visit today. Great selection both fresh and frozen. Really nice owner and employees… very helpful too. Got some stuffed pork chops… just under 2lbs each, the Meat gift pack which has a total of 4 NY steaks, 4 Sirloin and 4 Ribeyes. All are about ½ to ¾ inches thick vacuum sealed and a Chicken Cordon Blue all for just under $ 100. I definitely will be back. Also I asked just incase anyone wondered… they do take SNAP so no reason to eat hot dogs when you can get all this. Each item mentioned would feed more than one person.

Great quality meats. The specials have great pricing and we are never disappointed with what we get. Their selection of specialty meats is awesome, if you want to try something new like alligator, frog legs, etc this is the place to go. They also make really good sausages and pre-​marinated tri-​tip. We will never go back to grocery store meat after having bought our meat here.

Bought an amazing 17 lb packer brisket and smoked that bad boy for 17. hours … Delish !! And I bought a meat package best deal around !! Very clean !!

My visit here was my first time buying meat at a butcher shop, and I’m never going anywhere else! I purchased 3 top sirloin steaks for $ 32.18, and I believe the price was $ 8.99/lb (they were big steaks!). I took the steaks home, salted them, and let them sit overnight. Grilled them on high heat (500 degrees) with the top closed for 5 minutes, then flipped them and let them cook for another 4 minutes. They were amazing! Tender and full of flavor. The employee was nice as well, and informed me that they had bigger steaks underneath if I was interested (the ones I got were plenty big!). I’m definitely a return customer.

I don’t even know where to begin! I just finished a nice bacon burger and bacon wrapped jalepeno popper dinner, and I couldn’t go without reviewing this fantastic place.
The first time I went in here was with a family member, I saw the prices of the meat and about fainted. Everything is basically half price compared to what you get in the normal grocery store. Freaking awesome! Then the selection… Oh man the selection. You have at least 4 types of bacon, steak, goat, alligator, bison, elk, chicken, in every possible cut you can think of.
But wait, there’s more! Not sure what to buy? Not sure how to cook it? Ask (if they don’t ask you first :)) and they’ll answer any questions you have and give you tips.
I’m trying to make excuses to go back and buy more meat already.

Came here last Thursday to get a large piece of brisket. The gentleman who helped me was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He was very helpful.
They have a wide variety of meats: steaks, burgers, hot dogs, marinated chicken breasts, duck, chorizo… the list could go on forever.
The store is very clean. They also sell a wide variety of pickles and curing salts.

So impressed. Service superb-​selection and quality superb. If you are looking for old fashion service, great prices check them out. Don’t leave without a bacon burger. Awesome!

This meat market had familiar favorites and a bunch of stuff which remains mysterious to me; for instance, blood pudding, tripe de leches and oxtail. There was tri-​tip (yum), goat, and liver. Pastrami was prepared in 2lb batches. Smoked meats were available – links, sausages and such. There was a small produce section. I noticed potatoes and garlic. As I left, I saw big bags of ice for sale, as well. This is a terrific place to go for prepared and sliced meats, and for meats to cook at home.

We bought a Prime Rib roast for the Winter Solstice Holiday and were very pleased with the quality of the meat. It was a true prime prime rib, not one of those faux «prime» ribs available through other markets. The meat was nicely marbled, with a well-​defined collar of fat across the top. We browned the roast over high heat and slow-​roasted it in a 200 degree oven and finished it in a switched off oven. The roast was fabulously moist and tasty — one of the best prime ribs we have enjoyed in a while anywhere.
In our check-​it-​out visit we purchased a pair of New York steaks we barbecued, and they were also incredible. We will re-​visit Blue Ribbon Meats for many more meals to come.

I absolutely LOVE Blue Ribbon! I found them looking for raw knuckle bones for our dogs. The zesty lime chicken is one of the best marinated chicken breasts I have ever had, all of our meats this Thanksgiving will be from Blue Ribbon. If you are looking for meat and quality this is the place to go.

My boyfriend received two steaks from a friend and i was seriously impressed with how well it was aged, how tender it was and how appetizing it was! Will definitely be going there myself :)

My husband and I have been here about 10 times. Great place for quality meats. We no longer buy our meat anywhere else. From home made breakfast sausage to their prime rib, we highly recommend this place.
What is also nice is that the owner is always there and is very friendly along with the rest of his crew.
Try their carne asada. We did and we love it.

This place rocks! Since the funny business of Butcher boy, I started looking for a new butcher. These guys have excellent quality meat. Their marinated Tri-Tip’s are awesome. They have a Burgundy and a couple of others. They make what they call a Chuckwagon Steak. It is ground steak shaped into a Steak form and the outer edge is wrapped in Bacon. OMG You gotta put this meat in your mouth.

I stop in from time to time and purchase a number 2 meat package to stock the freezer. The guys that are there every time I’ve been in are really nice and helpful.
I have tried the bacon burger and the bacon wrapped jalapeños and they are both really good. I like the fact that you can pick your steak too. The bacon is really good and cut thick with just the right amount of fat. I like the country sausage but it’s not my favorite. It has an herb or spice in it that just seems a little out of place to me.
The meat package that I get comes in a box with all the items nicely wrapped in butcher paper. All items in the box are frozen. I’ve heard that you can get them fresh but I’m not sure. For me it’s not an issue because I freeze most of it immediately anyway. Even after being frozen and the defrosted it all tastes really good. In my opinion it is much better tasting meat than you’ll find and most supermarkets.

The folks behind the counter are always helpful when I have questions. There’s a pretty wide selection of meats & such in the freezers and the prices are reasonable for the quality of meat you get. We get one of their large meat box specials every month.
If you want a real treat, try their GIANT bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos!

Good selection of meat. I bought 16 sausages, chorizo and Argentinian, for a barbecue and several people asked where I got them. They liked them. Most of the sausages are frozen. They have many different kinds. They have some fresh in the butcher counter.
