The service was exemplary! Everyone made us feel welcome, attended to our every need and want, refilled our drinks… great service! The food was very good. The burgers were massive, flavorful and fresh, cooked to order. Can’t wait to come back to try the Mexican dishes. Yum!

Went there last night for 2 birthday dinner. Able the owner talked to us super friendly the staff was nice there was 10 of us half had Mexican food the other half had American food awesome place great food great mango margaritas !! We will be back !

It sucks! First time there, beer was flat and burger not cooked to order — middle was raw. The worst part was the owner argued with us and said wish you had told me sooner. Good thing that I was with a DJ from a station in Reno. He will be giving this place a well deserved bad review.

Service here is amazing. Came for a family members birthday and holy cow the service was amazing. They were always on top of filling our drinks and the food came out very quickly, even with a party of 10. Even the owner was out and about checking drinks and refilling. He was the nicest manager I’ve ever met at a restaurant. Highly recommend.
The food ranges from amazing bacon avocado burgers to tantalizing cheese enchiladas. Cannot stress enough how welcoming everybody was. I will definitely be back.

This place has only been open a few weeks and there are probably some things you’ll notice are not quite refined, but it will be fun to see the changes as the year progresses. It’s not fancy — it’s not a sports bar — but we enjoyed ourselves.
We were there for dinner and rumor has it the breakfast is very good. Going by the name I didn’t know there were a bunch of good sounding Mexican dishes, however I was craving something with a bun.
I had a simple $ 9 burger that was better than average — ½ lb, flame broiled and well seasoned so the patty was tasty. The bun was a bun and the fries were as good as non-​breaded fries anywhere.
The staff was great — and the owner was on hand making sure things are going smoothly — all very nice people.
The bar can be closed off from the rest of the seating space so I could see this being a great place for private parties.
I’ll be back next time we are in that part of town.

I have gone here twice now and I have had the special each time. The food quality is great and the selection is good. They are planning a new menu and I got to view it today. The new menu looks great and I am excited to come back.
The customer service is more than awesome. They are on top of it but not overbearing.

Nice spot for breakfast. Authentic hollandaise, cornedbeef hash, and mexican fare. Pleasant service, reasonable prices, and comfortable atmosphere.

When I seen this was Abel, we had to go give it a try, this I man is one of the kindest and talented guys in the business!

Breakfast today marks our first visit to the Water Springs Diner & Bar; rest assured it will not be our last. We have eaten at two other restaruants owned and operated by Abel and recognize the hallmarks of Abel’s restaurants are: 1. Great food and 2. Amazing hospitality.
There were no disappointments in either category today. We were glad Abel has finally opened a restaurant close enough to where we live to make it a regular stopping place, and we fully intend to dine here frequently.
Abel is an amazing host and his restaurant is maintained in absolutely immaculate condition (even the restrooms). Abel treats his guests/​customers like family. It is hard to imagine anyone being a more humble and gracious host than Abel.
Abel, we wish you great success with your latest restaurant venture and want to let you know you will be seeing us frequently in the days, weeks, months and years ahead!

The Water Springs restaurant is off Pyramid Hwy, in the Wal Mart lot. The restaurant has been several eateries in last couple of years and after eating there for the first time, my wife and I hope they are around a long time.
Water Springs has been open for 3 weeks now so my wife and I decided to give the place a try for lunch. They are open at 6:00 AM for breakfast. Closing at different times, depending on the day. The owner, Abel, is great and made sure we had everything we needed. My ice tea glass never got more than half empty. The menu has a good mix of American and Mexican. The breakfast menu is two pages including Mexican dishes. The lunch menu is two pages including hot and cold sandwiches along with various types of salads. There’s also a page of various Mexican dishes for dinner. Although the pages are labeled breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu is open all day, in other words you can have a breakfast at lunch time or at dinner.
I ordered the hot pastrami with fries and my bride ordered the apple walnut chicken salad sandwich with fries. Service as top notch and the food was great. The fries come seasoned and very tasty. My pastrami was lean and my wife’s sandwich vanished rapidly… We were both very pleased. We will most certainly be back and often.

I really wish this place had a different name. I’ve driven past several times thinking it was a water treatment place for me to fill my primo bottle.

Very relaxed, comfortable, neutral feel. Lots of options on the menu, from chorizo breakfast quesadillas to burgers and salads, something for everyone. I had the avocado bacon burger and an icky. Great experience! Abel is great… An incredibly friendly and attentive owner. I will be back (now that I know it’s a restaurant/​bar).

Great menu! The pastrami rueben was awesome. Super thin sliced pastrami and grilled perfectly, not all slimey n messy like most ruebens. The fries are perfect and the price is right. Sparks needed this place

Owners are awesome. Abel and Josie were kind, conscientious and made great recommendations. We ordered the shrimp Diablo (garlicky and cud have been hotter but great all the same). hubby ordered rib eye steak Sammie and when you ask for a certain temp (rare). You get it. Hubby gulped it down. also got soup and chicken pecan Sammie to go. soSoSo glad we have a great restaurant in Spanish Spings now. drinks were awesome several beers on tap. Open for breakfast and lunch Seven days a week. closed only for dinners on Monday and Sunday. Booth sitting in the bar. Nice wood furniture in front dining room. They know what they’re doing. As two retired chefs we couldn’t have been happier with the food and service. We’ll be back!

This is a family place, that cares about their customers! The good is Excellent, the service is also Excellent! They are friendly people and want our business. The price is fair for the great food, finally a food place that we can get a good meal at a good price with good service. As long as they keep this up they will be here a long time! Their bacon is So good!

Newly opened restaurant near Kohl’s. We came in for breakfast for our first visit, and really enjoyed it. Very personable staff, Gisela checked with us several times to see if we needed anything and to make sure the coffee cup was always full. The breakfast quesadilla was delicious, but I could only eat half of the serving. The home fries were really exceptional! My wife had two eggs and a side of biscuits and gravy, excellent as well! We will definitely come back!

Water Springs Diner and Bar is located off pyramid hwy in the kohls shopping center.
This establishment started out as Dennys, then the Mad Hatter, recently the Pyramid Grill and now Water Springs Diner. The owner, Abel has run and owned several different restaurants in the past including, El Adobe, La Posada Real and recently Abels.
When you walk in you are greeted by the owner Abel. There i a huge dining area that is immaculate. The menu consists of everything and anything, from burgers to salads, awesome mexican food, and soups and sandwiches. They are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Maurice was our waiter and did a great job. Drinks were ordered and brought promptly, as well as the entrees.
We started with two chickem tacos for appetizers. These tacos are the tacos i have tasted. Lots of flavor and the chicken was cooked just right. The taco shell was fried, but not greasy at all.
I ordered the rueben for my lunch. Anybody that knows me knows i love sourkraut, so i wanted to see how this sandwich stacked up. I was pleasantly surprised that the sandwich was not covered with thousand island dressing. You really could taste the fresh pastrami, the sourkraut with a soft overtone of the dressing. The rye bread was fresh and did not fall apart. A sandwich is served with fries or homemade potato salad. I choose the potato salad. It was good, maybe add alittle more mustard.
The five star rating is not only for the food but the service. Abel spent about 15 minutes chatting with us. His mission is to create the best food at a affordable price in a clean and fun restaurant. This owner truly cares and values your feedback.

What a GREAT NEW RESTAURANT! Don’t let the name fool you. When I first drove by and saw the new sign, I thought it was a place that sold water from Sierras. I took my mom with me and we both were pleasantly surprised. To start, the restaurant was immaculate. The menu was incredible. I never seen one with so many choices! I had the Joe’s Scramble. The food was fantastic. Fresch home made type. The waitress asked what type of toast I would like OR a biscuit with gravey. I had the biggest biscuit ever. This place has it all! If you order a Mexican dish, you get a taco on the side. My mom and I love this place. Now other family and friend’s make this our home away from home. 5 + stars for sure!!!
