Sparr has been a family owned and run business since I was a little girl. They may be a little pricier than some of the bigger chains but convenience for me is a huge plus! You can pretty much find most of what you need when shopping at Sparr. If you can’t find it, talk to the manager and they can probably get it for you.

I love this store! They not only carry tons of farm and building supplies but they also have pet food & supplies, livestock food & supplies, some general animal medication, gardening supplies and much more! I buy my flea and tick Advantage here because it’s cheaper. My favorite thing is the baby chicks, turkeys and ducklings they have from February thru late March. Several varieties of chicks to choose from. I can’t resist them!

We are really fortunate to have Sparr Lumber so close. Not only does it often save trips into town for Lowe’s or Home Depot, but they have 80% of what one would ever need.
Particular advantages are that Sparr’s prices are usually the same or lower than big box stores. When purchasing lumber they not only always help you load your vehicle (without the intermediary of a store cart) but also will pick through the supply so you get the boards/​lumber you want. They will deliver, sometime same day, and for items such as hay will stack it for you at no additional cost to the delivery charge. All with a friendly smile … I always feel welcome there.
