My friends and I were in Spartanburg one day and decided to check this place out. We had never heard of it and I assumed it was fairly new. Upon entering, we were pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the space, the knowledge of the owners, and most definitely the quality of liquor they make and sell. It is definitely worth a trip to Spartanburg to check out this microdistillery. The mahogany bar is large and definitely makes the space inviting. This is where we sat to taste their offerings. They make their products on-site, and the owners gave us a tour of the production area and talked to us at length about their process for distilling. After the tour was the free tasting. As of now, they make an American whiskey, rum, brandy, and vodka, but I believe they are working on tequila and gin, if my memories serves me correctly. Personally, I am generally not a fan of whiskey except in some cooking — however, their whiskey is smooth, not overly sweet, and well balanced. It is the first whiskey I’ve had that I genuinely like. All of their other drinks were delightful as well, with a smooth taste that gives it a quality finish. They are a little pricy on their bottles, ranging from $ 17 – 23 for a fifth. However, I will say that they are a great quality for the price. I will most definitely be back to this place. I got a bottle of whiskey last time, but next time I’m definitely going to get some rum.

We stopped in here on a rainy Saturday a while back, and had a great time. The owners were amazing, and very friendly. We got a brief tour and then on to some amazing tastings. They sell all of their products on site, and their quality to cost ratio is pretty decent. I can’t wait to finish the bottle of whiskey that we bought, so we can go back to get more!
