This is where you go when you want to get away from it all. It’s a beautiful one hour drive from the heart of downtown Knoxville and it feels like a world away.
The owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. Whether you’re there for the day renting a boat/​jet ski or staying the weekend in one of their chalets or FLOATING HOUSES, they will make sure you find exactly what you’re looking for. Prices are moderate and the marina has a little store for any of your last minute lake necessities, including ice cold beer. If you find yourself hungry, there is also a restaurant onsite.
Next time you’re thinking of renting a cabin for a big group of people, check out Flat Hollow’s house boats that house like 12 people. You can camp out on the lake for the weekend. They have full kitchens, bathrooms, a rooftop hot tub, and a slide. Speaking from experience, it doesn’t get much better than this.
