Klem’s

Ahhh Klems… That delicious, buttery popcorn smell!
Their impressive variety of items is pretty serious. I would say there is a little of everything under their roof. They house an awesome selection of hiking shoes– many hard to find brands… they have an extensive pet and aquatic section; some live small animals, live fish, etc. I am a big fan of their really nice Carhartt merchandise. They seem to have all the good stuff no one else does in store. They rent equipment and machines, sell lots of tools, and that doesn’t even come close to completing the list.
The only real major downfall is their very high prices. I will bet the owner drives a pretty nice car…
I have actually never seen a SINGLE item, in all my Klems shopping experience, that was cheaper at Klems than somewhere else. It’s always the opposite. So while their selection of stuff is killer, the prices keep me more of a «browser» in the store. I do however buy my dog food there, as it’s a little hard to find, but other than that, I am not a true Klem’s shopper. I think I would need a higher salary to upgrade from «Klem’s Browser and Popcorn Eater» to «Klem’s Shopper».
But I will continue my walks through the store, and I will continue to eat your popcorn, Klems! It’s delicious and good exercise!

Only been there once and it was an interesting place. I didn’t get a chance to compare pricing and they had so many things from clothing to pets to hardware supplies. I forget that it’s there and end up at Walmart instead. I need to go back more often just so I can be more familiar with what is seasonal and what is readily available.

What a cool store! First, they really do seem to have almost everything, and they carry quality stuff, from hardware, to clothing, to toys. Prices are on par with most other places, you’re not going to get Carhartt clothes or Keen sports shoes cheaper here, but they have a great selection. They carry California Paints, an amazing hardware selection, garden and outdoor supplies. Worth just browsing around and the people who work there are nice.

Still the best place to stock up on herbs & seedlings! More $$$ than Walmart but then again you are supporting an independent business :)

very eclectic collection of items for sale. I stick to the hardware, clothing and sporting goods. Quality is good, staff is very helpful, items are pricey — but overall a good value.
