Tranqwool Knitting Provisions

I found this little gem of a yarn shop while driving through Spencer, NC and I’m glad I turned around. It’s a combination gallery and LYS which is not something I’ve come across before, but it works!
The owner (Jenni) is knowledgeable about items in her store. It was a pleasure to talk to her while picking her brain about different yarns, projects, tips and tricks. She carries Malabrigo yarn and I now understand why yarn enthusiasts covet this brand!
You’ll find yarns in all weights and price points. The knitting tools are good, but I prefer to have a larger selection of choices in supplies/​notions — but this is a personal preference. Lighting and layout of the store is cozy and welcoming.
One thing I learned while there was that she recently changed her shop hours — they are split during the day. She is open from 8am-​1pm and then again from 5−8pm for those of us that want to visit a LYS in the evening. THANK YOU for thinking of those of us that work and can’t always get our yarn fix on our lunch hour!
I think I will become a regular in this little shop!
