This is no longer Hollingsworth Corner Store. It is Spicewood General Store. The new owners are more progressive but really havent changed much beyond the name. They sell everything. When you are in Spicewood, you are thirty minutes away from real shopping, so you need a real General Store. The grocery prices are nearly double what you pay at HEB but you dont have to drive 30 minutes. If you do have to drive, get your gas elsewhere, this place along with Paleface Grocery(down the road) have the most expensive gas anywhere. I once drove from Spicewood to Houston, it was the most expensive gas along the whole route and was priced the same as the gas stations in the posh River Oaks district of Houston. I stopped buying cooked food from them a long time ago as it was very low quality. I had hoped for a drastic and obvious change since it is owned by the same group that owns Blue Bonnet Café & River City Grill in Marble Falls. IF they have changed the food, they should do something that lets people know it isnt the same garbage that was sold there before. Maybe remodel the food service/prep area or maybe a couple of signs inside that announce the improved food quality, but I am just too afraid to try the food again. They do have some cool Spicewood original T-shirts.
