Description

Specialties

We have chosen to use and retail R+Co products exclusively at House of POp as we believe their mission for the future matches ours and the simplicity of their use takes out the guess work when you style your hair at home. We also have chosen Kuene hair color for the excellence that is achieved through their color line.

History

Established in 2014.

Our focus has always been to give the art back to the hairdresser through film, editorial, vision and voice wrapped up in a punk flag. We are proud to announce the opening of the Salon where we aim to give a home to hard core hairdressers and the clients that love them.

We are «The House of POp». We are working to pave the way for the reclaiming of the art of hairdressing, the creative process, the artistic vision and the excitement that should be in the very air of every salon while providing a creative home for Spokane’s most talented creatives.

We only do cuts, color and blowouts because in our minds, what else could you possibly need to show the beauty in you?

Meet the Business Owner

Douglas M.

Business Owner

Douglas McCoy is a 24 year veteran of the Hair industry. From humble beginnings at a Redmond strip mall salon called Hairmasters to clawing and networking his way to a front row seat learning with some of the masters from Vidal Sassoon and Bumble and Bumble Douglas has proven himself through inspiration and desire to improve his craft. It was at BbU that true inspiration embedded itself and became part of the soul of Douglas’s work. With iPhone in hand, mini films were made, capturing the attention of the local scene. Photographers began collaborating with Douglas, finding his education at Bumble and 6 seasons doing hair at Mercedes Benz NY Fashion Week enhanced their own work. A collective was formed called «The House of POp» for this group of artistic minded individuals.

The House of POp, the salon is the next step in elevating the craft of hairdressing by creating an environment of education for it’s hairdressers and inspiration for the industry he loves.
