Quality Inn Downtown 4th Avenue

Noisiest room ever! Our room was facing the freeway and at first we thought the windows were open since there was so much noise from traffic but they were closed. It’s unfortunate since the room was beautiful and spotless. The bed was comfortable. We ordered room service which was quick and food was good (I had the cheeseburger and fries and my husband had the hamburger and fries.) It would benefit the hotel to upgrade their windows so they were more soundproof!

This hotel is okay. I do think it’s overpriced and overrated. The pros are that the rooms are clean, smoke free, and the staff is very friendly. They have a little «pub/​restaurant» which only has 3 types of beer and 3 types of wine. I waited 35 min to get my order of 6 cookies.. I heard others complain about the food, didn’t try anything but the beer and cookies, haha. They offer free breakfast, nothing special but I didn’t expect anything amazing. The location is within walking distance to downtown. I just think it’s overpriced! It’s nothing special.

Our family gathered in Spokane, WA. For the first time, For my nieces wedding, we booked several rooms, the location of the quality inn was excellent. The customer service from reception to maid service was very friendly, consistent and professional. the inn had a cozy lounge, that served food drink, and had a pool table, we really enjoyed gathering in the evening, for family laughs, and visits without having to drive out and about. It was a great time, and the quality inn helped make it a wonderful visit.

We stayed here while visiting my brother at Gonzaga. The rooms were ok. However the morning we were set to leave, July 20, we went down to the car to load up only to realize the front passenger side window was smashed. THE ONLY staff member who as even remotely kind and compassionate was Tyler, a maintenance man, who went above and beyond to help us get the car cleaned up and safe to at least drive to the nearest auto repair shop. We were traveling with a 2 year old he even check her car seat for glass shards. The manager and other front desk ladies acted like we were a bother. One even had the nerve to say «well what else could go wrong today» when I told her that someone smashed my car windows. Luckily we are seasoned travelers and never leave valuables in the car. The only thing offered to us was one night compted from our 2 night 2 room stay. No one came to check on us at all after they received their incident report. We got a half hearted apology from the manager after I turned in their report. We will not be using this hotel again and will not be recommending it to any of our friends or family coming to visit the Spokane area.

Our room was very spacious and clean. The air conditioner could not cool that much space, not even after several hours. By the time we went to bed, it was tolerable. The hotel also discounted our room to compensate for our discomfort, which was very nice. The breakfast selections are not very good, but the little dining area is nicer than most «free breakfast» spots. The pool is larger than any I’ve seen in a newer hotel. It was a very busy, hot weekend in Spokane when we were there, and the pool was getting a lot of use.

If your thinking about reserving a room at this motel please read this first.
1. Make sure to park in FRONT of the check-​in doors before actually parking because they make you place a yellow parking notice on your vehicles dash board.
Which means you will have to walk all the way back out to parking lot and place the yellow placard on your dash board or your vehicle will be towed away. Parking is hard to find and you will have to walk a long distance to the front desk.
2. The people who work at the front desk are RUDE
3. The wireless internet sucks
4. Breakfast will make you gag
5. The pool… there is no pool, unless you count the green stuff at the bottom to the empty pool.
6. The bathrooms smell of mold
7. There is no fan in the bathroom, so the bathroom becomes so steamed up you feel like fainting.

The location of the hotel is right off the highway, so if a light sleeper, ask for a room on the north side of the building. Also it’s right down the hill from a Level 1 Trauma Center, so you’ll get the Helicopters continually overhead. Currently the unit is under renovation, but those are being done to better the experience.
The breakfast is a standard continental breakfast except for the pancake machine. There’s a café on site that does burgers, pizzas, & salads.

We booked a hotel on priceline with the feature that doesn’t let you see first what you’re getting. I was a little put off when my husband said we would be spending new years at a quality inn. In my mind, they reek of cheap and dirty.
The hotel was easy to find. I was surprised at how big it was. Our room, downstairs, was a lot bigger than i expected. It even had some of the comforts you would like if you had an extended stay (microwave and mini fridge). We had a big, soft bed. Our window was right on level with the parking, but you couldn’t hear the streets or freeway, and it felt secure.
The breakfast was good, and there were many options to choose from. If we did another night on the town, i would stay here again. We are having a vow renewal in spokane, and the quality inn has made our list of possible hotel blocks.

We were looking for an affordable way to get out of town for a night. We are extremely satisfied with this choice! Friendly staff, clean comfortable room, great pool, fun lounge, and delicious breakfast. We will definitely be returning!

Great place to stay!
Check in was easy, gave a call to the room to make sure everything was okay.
Gym could’ve been better. It only has an elliptical, treadmill, and an all in one machine for chest, dips, lat pull down, and curls.
Breakfast was better than expected!

This is a great place to stay at a great price! Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room though a little small was beautiful and extremely clean (I am very picky). The FREE breakfast was unexpectedly nice! There was such a good assortment of different breakfast items including freshly made waffles. Also had a well kept outdoor pool.

Frequent traveler here, hotel is convenient to the freeway and downtown area. Free breakfast is great, hot with rotating meats waffles, and eggs. Good bread and fruit choices. Dining area is very nice with pool view. Rooms are good, and service was consistent. Only thing I didn’t like was that maids come in every day no matter what. A hotel policy. So don’t leave anything in your room. Oh and there’s a hotel bar that my coworkers had a really good time at karaōke one night. More due to the booze than the bar I’m sure.

GOOD FOR WHAT IT IS!
I was in Spokane this last weekend with a group of friends for a concert. We are young adults that already spent $ 50 on the concert ticket, and $ 180 on gas, and still wanted money for drinks and food. Therefore we wanted to find somewhere to stay that was inexpensive… but not cheap.
LOVED: Free easy parking, FREE huge selection breakfast, enthusiastic customer service, comfortable and clean beds!
We didn’t care about freeway noise or upgrading to a suite. We wanted convenience, efficiency and free food at a low price-​and that is exactly what we got! I would choose to stay here again for the exact same reasons!

Kindness or salt in a wound?
After refusing to cancel a reservation, when my client didn’t appear, the Quality Inn actually called him the next day to ask why he didn’t show! I really don’t know what to make of it and given I’ve already spent a good amount of time on the Quality Inn, I won’t be giving it another thought.
I hope you’ll give this Unilocal a thought!

I had a problem getting my deposit returned when I needed it at check out. The manager did contact me after I had left and was very rude and condescending. At my own inconvenience I had to return to the hotel later that nite to retrieve my deposit, which meant I had to drive about 30 min the wrong way on a 5 hour trip that made the trip 6+ hours.

A great value. We got a suite so wonderful. Two rooms 2 full baths. Microwave, fridge. All the staff is very friendly and goes out of their way. The WIFI work great. Pool is nice. Has a shallow end and goes to 9 feet. I will come back to this hotel again. If you are coming to Spokane book your stay here.

Staff was SO stressed and didn’t communicate well as I waited 15 minutes to do a 2min check-​in process. That was frustrating.
Parking is a COMPLETE SHIT SHOW because a bunch of lounge lizards looooooove the karaōke lounge in the lower level. That totally sucked!
Beds were great though and the place was clean and easy to access off the freeway. And if the fan is on, it drowns out freeway noise, FYI. :)

It was kind of easy to get to right off the freeway, but the iphone maps ap took us around the block. Clean rooms the bed was actually quite nice to sleep in. We had a good breakfast that was satisfying.
If I were in Spokane I don’t know if I would stay here again, but it wasn’t that expensive and its right near downtown.

I’m from Portland Oregon. So yesterday, I had to wake up at 6am to get ready and be out from Portland to be in Spokane WA for work. The 6 hour drive was long, and I was looking forward to the hotel room. It’s the satisfying goal from a long drive. Check in was painless, and the front desk Jeana (sp?) was extremely helpful. I got in to my room and it was clean and smaller than I am normally used to, but I was traveling alone this time so I didn’t mind. The pool looked great and when the sun was shining yesterday it was actually inviting.
Work started with me at 7pm and ended at 1:30am. By this time I was tired. I crashed and passed out (mind you, I was looking forward to this sleep and pass out all day). At 7am, there was an indescribable sound and vibration that it woke me up. It really wasn’t the pleasant wake up I was looking forward to, especially I was going to drive back 6 hours home.
The sound was from someone running in the fitness center next door. While lying in bed for another 20 minutes and feeling the thump and sounds of the running, I finally got up and got ready to leave. Feeling about 2.5 hours short of the actual sleep I was expecting to have, this made me feel just unsatisfied — and quite grumpy.
I approached the front desk and I explained my situation to Tiffany and the GM Christine. She was very receptive. She actual took the time and cared about my situation. I was expecting, since I was upset and tired, to be combative. Christine was able to rectify the situation and while I thought I would never come back, she changed me to, I can’t wait to return.
Uncontrollable things/​problems happen in any establishment, but to solve the problem comes from the staff. You can do your best to make sure your product is the best, but ultimately guests and customers return because of the service that one receives.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Spokane.
(PS, they plan to fix the problem so this doesn’t happen again)

Hotel itself was just okay, but the staff is wonderful! It’s a good place to stay for a night or two if you aren’t looking to spend big dollars. Room was clean, and the bed was surprising comfortable for a budget hotel. My main complaint was with bathroom. The shower was way too low for me (I’m almost 6′ 2″ so the water was hitting me in the middle of the chest even with the nozzle pointed as high as possible.) Also, there wasn’t any fan or ventilation in the bathroom so even after a brief shower, the mirror was totally steamed over.
Rooms here can be had on the cheap, and the list of pros, way out weighs the cons. Staff is great, free breakfast is plentiful, and the rooms are pretty quiet. If you’re a budget conscious traveler, this could be the spot for you.
