We had a party of 10 today and decided to go the the screaming yak. obviously a BAD decision. The 4 of us that showed up first were lucky enough to get a drink 20 minutes after we arrived. The rest of our group waited an hour and still not even a drink. The waitress came by and took our order 50 minutes after we got there, and came back 3 times saying she would have to take it again(she lost it all 3 times?) at that point our group walked out, and went to the swinging doors, where we were greeted immediately and had drinks in our hands within 5 minutes. Sorry yak, but that was by far the worst customer service I’ve had in my 41 years of existence. You better step it up, or 2016 will be your year of failure.

I would give this place a 5 if it weren’t for the nighttime female bartender. Every time I have come in here and she’s been working, she is SO nasty to me. I’m not sure what the reason is for it but I end up feeling uncomfortable during the rest of my time there because of her. The other employees are amazing, the drinks are great and the food is wonderful. This chick just has some serious issue with me.

Great breakfast Lora is a terrific attentive server ! We always have such terrific service with her that we always try to get seated in her section although sometimes it’s not possible but no matter who it is the service is always good and so is the food !

Always wanted to try this place and finally did. We stopped for a couple of drinks and appetizers and it was great! I enjoyed never seen before blue cheese stuffed mushrooms… Yum! And finally some crispy wing… yeah! Hate the soggy ones and had been jonesing for since moving back in the area. Sauce choices for the were great. I had a couple of mixed drinks since I am not a beer lover and all was good. Servers checked on us often, will return as I am looking forward to trying the fish and chips as well as a burger! Kids are welcome so it’s a great gathering place. I understand there is a new manager so I am sure things will only get better.

Have passed here many times but only stopped in for the first time recently. Now I’m really glad I tried it! The service and the food & drink were all great. We had the wings with a couple of the different sauces. They have a nice variety of wing sauce flavors and degrees of heat and you can get the sauces on the side in case you can’t agree on which flavor to get. The beer selection was good and the evening we were there Orlison Brewery was doing a tap takeover so they had a few of their brews as well as a drawing for some of their swag. It was a nice introduction to a local brewery I might not have tried otherwise. Anyway, the environment was fun, there were a lot of monitors for checking out the games and it seemed that they could easily accommodate multiple large groups. It would be a good place for meeting up to watch a game or for a post-work outing. I’m thinking this will be a great place to watch March Madness this year and I’ll definitely be back there soon!

Very questionable service and food quality. I have never once walked out that place with a great feeling. Waited over 45mins for my breakfast on a fairly slow day. Won’t ever go back. I could go on but… Why should I? Enough said. Have a good day. Choose food wisely.

Service is excellent every time I am in. It is always busy and they all keep a very positive attitude. The food is always spot on and the breakfast is money. I have been in. A few times and most of the staff remembers who I am which is really nice. I like the fact that all the staff seems to get along as well that makes the atmosphere so pleasent. I would suggest the steak and eggs for breakfast and the perfect steak sandwich for dinner.

Service was good. Had Chrissy for a server. Had to ask for silverware but other than that she as good. Food was delicious and drinks good. However who runs out of Captain Morgan? They had been out for a week. Unfortunately husband drank and I had water. But all and all, we will come back next time on North side of town.

Bad bad service every time we go to this place. This time I finally had to ask if she would take our order then she just walked around and helped every one else then they finally brought our order and just walked off I had to try and get her attention again to just get syrup soo not impressed.

Made a reservation for our hockey team in advance. Told they had the ability to serve our group. We waited over 60 minutes in a empty restaurant just to place our orders. The orders were delivered in reverse of being placed and left many kids not eating with the kids at their table. The whole ordeal took over 2 hours. I don’t even remember the food bit I do remember a stressed out waitress yelling at me. Next time just tell us you aren’t capable of handling groups.

We’ve passed this place for a few years, always wondering how the food was. We stopped in for lunch today during World Cup Finals. We tried the jalapeño poppers, they were great! They’re fresh jalapeño peppers cut in half and stuffed with a mixture of cream cheese, cheddar cheese and… bacon, breaded and fried to perfection! My wife had the Jack Daniel’s BBQ Burger with sweet potato fries. The burger comes with crispy fired onions and bacon, the sweet potato fries rocked. I had the Smokin’ Hot Burger with garlic fries. This burger is topped with jalapeños, blue cheese crumbles, and BBQ sauce. The garlic fires were topped with shredded Parmesan cheese and were out of this world! It’s a sports bar atmosphere so the noise level is high, but the food is amazing!

I called in to place a to go order. Went in a few minutes early for a red beer. My friend asked Morgan, our server, for bloody mary mix on the side. The women looked at her slightly confused for a moment, but then appeared as though she understood. When she arrived with our beers we poured in our«bloody mix», which was actually Clamato. Morgan stated that it was what the bar used to make their bloody mary’s. But when my friend approached the man at the bar he was very helpful and had great customer service skills. He provided us with fresh beers and bloody mary mix, as originally requested. We were very satisfied. Then we both felt as though we may have been an convenience to Morgan because we had requested new beer with proper mix. We felt this way because she was not very friendly after the incidence. She quickly printed our check and snatched up her signed copy of the receipt very abruptly; in a very rude manner. My friend again was offended because of disengaged behavior. When hiring younger staff they may be should inform them that when they are uncertain it would better to ask staff whom are more experienced. She is just young and needs some more education and directions. Don’t be to proud to ask! Food did taste great but the chef salad was missing cucumbers and the burger with a side salad was missing the dressing. Written by: Correna

When I come here at the right time, I have the burgers and garlic fries. The burgers are really good. The bread is great. The meat is good. The garlic fries have real garlic on them. Not garlic powder or garlic salt, but real garlic. When I come here at the wrong time, which is late at night, I get chicken strips. The one thing I don’t like here is the atmosphere. The people in the bar watching tv can be very loud and very drunk. The large windows and spartan interior make me feel like I am being watched. Kinda uncomfortable. The mixed drinks need to improve as well. They seem to be the drinks sororities would order back in 1995. If you are going to charge me 8 dollars for a drink, it better be classy.

Good wings… various degrees of hotness and flavors… breaded or naked. Low key and casual place to grab a beer or well drink with decent happy hour pricing. High top and standard table seating with bar area. Good place that gets a mix of fans during sporting events that can get lively. Lots of televisions and actually as family friendly as a bar can be. Wait staff has always been friendly and attentive.

Enjoyed watching NFLGAMES not just local team. I called a bunch of places and few places have the NFL Sunday Ticket. So you had fans of Green Bay, Seattle, San Francisco, and 1 brave St Louis Ram fan whose lone scream when they made a play sounded eerily like that of a Yak giving childbirth. The bartender with the 49er jersey was the best since I was visiting from San Francisco, made me feel comfortable here with fellow team jersey wearing fans.

I love the wings at screaming yak. They have a good selection of flavors with different heat levels. Also, on the weekends they have a pretty good breakfast menu. The wait staff is always friendly.

Came here for their beer specials. I was presently surprise by how cheap the beer was and great service! We had the stuffed mushroom appetizer and it was delicious, it came out sizzling hot on a cast iron pan and it hit the spot as the perfect bar food!

Drinks are average priced, maybe a little more. Hit up the happy hour for sure to save a bit. The servers were all nice and dress to the style of the bar, hooded sweaters and jeans. This is the place the locals definitely meet with their buddies to watch their teams on any of the 6 or so flatscreens. Food service was a little slow but patrons here are not in any rush. Good for groups. Those with peanut allergies be ware!

I generally like this place, but we just experienced a pretty bad night out at The Screamin Yak. Nachos were soggy and very mediocre. Our waitress asked our table of four if we wanted a complimentary long island ice tea, an extra that the bartender had made. Of course we said yes. As she brought it to our table, I asked her if it was free as it was«complimentary» and she said«no, it’s $ 6.» I said we wouldn’t be paying for it and she flubbered away saying she’d cover it then. We love this bar, but because of this will seriously be reconsidering coming to this bar in the future.

I’ve been told that the Yak has great burgers so I found myself in the area, around lunch time, and hungry. So it was time to find out for myself. The menu had some very interesting selections and the fresh sheet featured a number of specials with pulled pork including sliders and a p-p quesadilla with p-p and slaw on top that sounded very interesting. But I came on a mission looking for a burger. I settled on the Black Jack that is blackened, with sauteed shrooms and pepper jack. It was pretty good, but I would not say«great.» That could be because I like my blackened foods truly caked with seasoning and this was merely dusted. But it tasted very good and the fries were outstanding. Overall I was pleased. My son had Jack Daniels BBQ and included onion straws & bacon, and all I can say is he did not utter a word while he devoured that thing. If I could go 3.5 stars I would but this is Unilocal and there are rules. I will be back and feel that it is worth the effort. By the way, Jadyn who commented that it is dark — it’s a bar. And there are windows around three sides so not sure what the deal was there, and if someone told you to go there for dancing, you need a new friend.
