History
Established in 1902.
Charles Simmons started the business in 1902. It’s name was Simmons & Sons Blacksmith Shop, located two blocks from where we are presently located. He started with a blacksmith shop. With the coming of cars, there were no repair shops, so people would take their cars for repair to the blacksmith shops. By 1912, Charles Simmons’ main business was repairing cars, specializing in the straightening of wheels. In 1917, Charles Simmons sold the business to his sons, K.E. Simmons and Mark Simmons. In 1938, Charles Simmons’ grandson, Lyle Watt bought the business from his uncles, K.E. and Mark Simmons. Lyle Watt changed the name from Simmons and Sons’ Blacksmith Shop to Watts Wheel Service. Morris Little went to work for Lyle Watt in 1944 and purchased the business in 1955. Morris’ son, Chuck Little went to work at Watts in 1962 and purchased the business in 1985. Chuck Little’s nephew, Duane Little went to work at Watts in 1990 and purchased the business in 2009.
