Oasis Taxi

I never used this car service I always see their drivers around my town and they are reckless and have no regard to people in the road. Just today one of their drivers flipped me off. I’d walk before I’d call these guys.

So I’ve used oasis loads of times. Do get a a taxi you have to literally call 2x. The first time they’ll tell you it’s coming and the second time they’ll actually come! I have recently also realized how over priced thee service really is. Today I had to make a trip that’s was about two miles down the road from me. I called oasis and received a quote. The absurd price I was given was 14 dollars! Fifteen dollars for two miles up the road??? From now on I will be using exclusively über. Über costed me 5 dollars for the same trip. One last complaint is there operators. They do not speak the best English and are often rude when you call.

Inconsistent service, rude operators, usually friendly drivers.
The operator said the cab would come in 5, and I’m okay with the fact that it didn’t come after waiting 15 min. I called back to cancel because I no longer needed the cab at that point (it was easier to find a ride and by then I had missed the bus I was trying to get to, which is a 3 min ride away). I was irritated by the operator who decided to give me the silent treatment over the phone because she was annoyed that I canceled? I wasn’t even mad. So much salt ma’am.

I had used this cab between Oct 2014 to Dec 2014 on daily basis and they were good and charged nominal fares. On 7^th April 2015, I called them to pick me from Raritan Center, Sayreville to Riverside Dr, Edison. They told me that the driver is gonna tell me the exact fare and as i had used their services in the past i thought they will be nominal with the fares. The driver showed up with his girlfriend in the car. He wasnt sure about the address i had provided Oasis cabs on the phone. so he stopped at a gas station to check the exact address and i stepped out to withdraw some cash from the ATM. On the way these guys were listening to loud music and were kissing and so on. When we finally reached the destination he said the fare is 40 bucks. the total distance we covered was less than 6 miles. When i confronted him saying that i used to pay one fourth of the fare for greater distance in the past and taking fare hikes into consideration it would not be four folds. the driver said the basic fare is 35 plus 5 for a stop which was not requested by me.
The worst part is when i called the operator to inform this unprofessional behavior of the driver, and fyi, i was very polite on the call. the lady hang up the phone in a beat when i completed without any explanation.
So going forward i’m going to stay away from using this cab service and wouldnt recommend to any of my friends either…

Car was 15 minutes late, despite calling for the car an hour before it was needed. Dispatchers lied multiple times about when they’d be here. Missed my bus.
