Spring Grove Heating & Air Conditioning

This is a downgrade from my earlier review on Spring Grove Heating.
Purchased a Goodman furnace in ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₁.
2÷18÷15 heard a rumbling and furnace output stopped, so turned it off. Called Pure Air, Inc,. a local company since the original installer was out of town. Someone from Pure Air, Inc AKA known as Spring Grove Heating, 3010 N. Lake Terrace, Genvieve, IL 60 025 phone 877−724−8188 came out on 2÷18÷15. Invoice number S8060. The workman found a bad blower motor. The furnace was supposed to be under warranty. The workman claimed they were an «authorized repair center for Goodman», but would NOT replace the motor under warranty since I did not buy the furnace from THEM. When I argued he said I could call someone else and leave the furnace disassembled until someone else came the next day with a warranty replacement. With outside temp at ZERO degrees and home temp at 50 °F I could not wait, and he knew it. Was charged over $ 400. for the motor plus cost for the call, almost another $ 200.
This ‘dealer’ should be barred from saying the are an «authorized dealer» for the Goodman furnace.
Will be finding someone else for my my furnace repair.

Spring Grove came out to my house and did a wonderful job.
We purchased a house in Mettawa and needed some reno work done on the HVAC. Our carpenter recommended Spring Grove.
I called and a gentleman named John answered.
John, explained to me that he had just purchased Spring Grove Heating & Air Conditioning in the Fall of 2013 from the original owners. John stated he also owns Pure Air Heating & Air Conditioning in Glenview. I said no wonder your voice sounds familiar, you installed that zoning system in our house in Evanston.
I asked them to come bid some work for us at our new house.
Bottom Line:
The office staff was friendly and the technicians arrived on time, worked fast and were clean, neatly dressed and well spoken.
The prices were more affordable than the other NorthShore HVAC companies I called.

Evidently they are out of business… yet have not disconnected their phone. I have been waiting for 3 days for a call back from them… and finally called another HVAC place.

Technician replaced furnance motor and board in February. AC would not start last week so called and left several messages. Comapny Never called me back! I ended up having to call another company to fix the problem which was miss wired. They did not honor warrenty or workmanship. Be warned — DO NOT USE THIS OCMPANY.
