I visited this location for new tires and brake pads before driving cross-country. I was told I didn’t really need the brake pads, so I just got the tires. I didn’t even make it out of Florida before experiencing problems — a noticeable«thunking» noise coming from the driver’s side front tire that was getting louder, and, ultimately a very loud«clunk» — all of this while driving on the interstate. Thankfully, I was able to find a tire shop(not Tuffy) that was open today(4th of July). They informed me that the loud«clunk» was a brake caliper bolt that had ricocheted off my car, damaging the inside of the wheel, and that the remaining bolt beneath it was very loose. This could have led to brake failure. They kindly fixed it for me free of charge(again, not Tuffy). I will absolutely not be giving Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center in Spring Hill, FL any more of my business. Their carelessness put myself and my friend in a very dangerous situation.

I wanted to like this place. They fixed my brakes. I thought they fixed the cooling leak. They certainly charged me for fixing the coolant leak, and testing it. Two weeks later I had NO pressure in the coolant system, had added water several times, eventually limped into their sister location in Land O’ Lakes. At that site, they did the valve gasket replacement that Tuffy/Spring Hill said I needed. And they replaced the water pump, and other stuff. They said they tested the car, but I needed a rescue when the transmission fluid was spraying out of a hairline crack. — The same day I got my car back. So $ 1800 in 2 weeks to Tuffy. Now I’m still having problems with a leak in the coolant system. I’m adding water. That’s just not right. So … any suggestions for a good place to buy a car? Between the loss of trans fluid and the problems with the cooling system. Tuffy may have ruined this car. Maybe they will do a better job for you.
