VERYGOOD!!! Scones don’t taste like what I have become accustomed to as «scones.» They were moist, more cake like, and DELICIOUS!!! If this is what scones are then I have been eating scone BRICKS for years… You have to go if you’re a scone fan!!!

The most amazing selection of pastries and sweet treats. Honestly, I absolutely love everything(scones, croissant, petit fours, cinnamon rolls)!!! Favorite scone type has to be vanilla, followed closely by cranberry orange. Get there early and make sure you check the day before you head out as they’re only open a few days of the week.

My dog pulled me towards this establishment which I didn’t know about. There was a line to get in. A line to get into a bakery? Never saw this. I asked a older gentleman coming out, «is it really that good?» He placed his hand on my hand and said, «Yes, made sure you get the Cranberry Orange.» SO, I did. I bought 3 at a reasonable price and found a nice place to eat my one. OMG… IT was DIVINE. That’s all I can say, just great, taste and quality very fresh, and flavors just blend together in your mouth, eat slowly to enjoy. Just try it! My dog and that nice man was right! Now, this place is going to be my def go to whenever I’m in the area.

Awesome scones! The vanilla bean and berry ones are my favorites. The glaze on top adds the perfect touch of sweetness, and they aren’t as dry and crumbly as some other scones I’ve had.

July 29, 2015 — traveled from North Jersey but didn’t know bakery was only open Thursday-Sunday; however, we were lucky enough that owner was on the premises. No scones that day; however, we purchased the flourless chocolate cake(5 different types of chocolate), as well as a coconut lemon cake. Couldn’t wait to get home and it was orgasmic. Can’t wait to visit on a Friday to try the scones — You go Ronny

The MOST amazing scones. I waited on line for almost 30 minutes, but it was worth it. Delish. The vanilla bean scones are my favorite, but get there early because they sell out. I’m also a fan of the lemon poppy scones. SOOOOOOO good. I tried a ham and cheese croissant, too. Awesome. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Best scones west of Great Britain. Super ethereal with some traditional and whimsical flavor profiles. Cakes and pastries are excellent as well. Definitely not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for!

The Scone Pony is not just a bakery… it is heaven. If your not into scones you will be after you have one bite of these. You can smell the amazing aroma before you even enter the door. My husband and I have tried almost everything they have to offer, and every single pastry has been over the top amazing. Scone Pony and Flaky tart are the absolute best bakeries in NJ. Love them

Amazing scones– probably the best I’ve had in a very long time. They are buttery, flaky, moist and soft. I tried the chocolate chip scone which was out of this world. They have several fruit flavors and plain as well. Definitely check this place out!

Best Boulangerie this side of Paris — Yes Paris! The croissant was light, crispy buttery and flaky! The baguette was crusty, yet light and airy. The Poilane in paris has some serious competition. This is NJ’s true gem! Merci! Oh and by the way, the scones are superb!

The pastries were good, but nothing spectacular for the price I paid. I went at the end of the day, so this could be the reason for the limited selection. However, the scones were really good, and the name is spot on! Cute little eating area outside for warm spring and summer days.

I love this bakery! The scones are phenomenal and they have many flavors. Some flavors are added to accommodate the season such as pumpkin for the fall. Everything I have tried is amazing! If you want excellent, fresh bakery products, then the wait is worth it!

So let’s start off by saying that anyone who gives the Scone Pony is more than likely certifiably insane and should be committed. Yes this may be extreme and may offend people who are in fact insane, but this is the truth. If you are friends with any of these people who have given a less than stellar view, keep your eye on them as they are not all there and you will likely be seeing on the news. Scones are fantastic. If you are looking for what you think is a hard dry scone that you need to slather in butter and jam, wrong scones. These are light, fluffy and melt in your mouth delicious. The sticky bun will make your head explode. Something as simple as the french bread is better than you would get in Paris. Yes, better than Paris. Now the cheesecake. Absolute perfection. Put it up against anything you can find in NYC. Scone Pony is better. If I was religious I would be praying to Mary, the holy guy, Mary’s son, etc with every lick of the spoon. Nothing there is less than the best in in it’s category. There is a line out the door for a reason.

These are the best scones, EVER!!! We hit the Scone Pony any time we are in the area. Only thing to make it better is be open Mon, Tues, and Wed too!!! Our favorite is the cranberry orange. Moist on the inside with a bit of a crunch on the outside. Very flavorful. I prefer the scones with icing. It adds even more flavor.

I stopped into the scone pony hoping to satisfy my iced coffee craving. Unfortunately they only had bottled iced coffee, so I had to get my caffeine fix elsewhere. The vanilla bean scone was too sweet for my taste — it seemed more appropriate for dessert than for breakfast.

Scones are very good but their customer service needs major improvement. They can be very rude to their customers. Went in at 730am because doors were open and three people barked at me that they weren’t open. Nice way to treat people who want to buy your products. There is a way to treat customers or even better yet — maybe serve them early. That’s an idea. They’ve lost my business.

Oh. My. God. I had heard all the hype about this place… Lines out the door, best scones around, yada yada. So I figured that I would try it out. I went in and got a couple lemon coconut scones. They were absolutely delicious. Sweet but not overly so, and tangy but not too sour. The texture was where they shined however, warm, flakey, and soft with just a little crunch on the outside. This place absolutely deserves the almost perfect reviews that it has earned. It is sorta pricey, but with food like theirs they can charge whatever they want.

I had heard much hype over this bakery, and recently made a trip to sample sweets for a party. Overall, yes the scones are worth the hype. Chewy, sweet but not too sweet, and perfectly baked. As for the sleeve of Macarons? Not so much. Understandably they are refrigerated, but overall the quality of taste was lacking. Likewise the petit fours had a pleasant almond taste but were not the best due to the refrigeration. I give it 3 stars for excellent scones. Everything else was okay. As well as the owners seemed a little more comfortable with locals.

We so look forward to visiting Spring Lake so that we can visit The Scone Pony, which is always our first stop as they can sell out of their awesome scones pretty quick. Every time we come here, the line is out the door of this small place. I’m generally not a huge fan of scones, but I guess that’s because I never had a great one like these. On this last visit, we got a lemon scone fresh out of the oven, and oh my, was it ever good! They have more than scones here, but this is clearly their specialty. Definitely worth a stop in, but you’ll need to swim some laps in the ocean to work off those calories!

Came here on a sunny Sunday, the place is very small, it can get a little crowded, just know what you want. The staff is half friendly, but the food makes up for it. We ordered a blueberry scone, sweet and fresh; Croissant, very fresh & flaky. We would have liked the scone toasted and possibly some spread on the croissant, but either way everything was exceptional. Totally worth coming to.
