Daily Fresh Donuts

Love my «Mom and Pop Shops.» This place is a small family run business. The food is amazing and made with LOVE. One of my GO-​TO Spots for breakfast and lunch. I highly recommend the Famous Hobo and if I’m watching my weight Tuna and Chicken Salad is delicious. Everything is fresh and yummy. Can’t wait to go back!!! Mmmm…

I gave this one star because it wouldn’t allow me to post this otherwise. But this place deserves NEGATIVE 5 stars.
This afternoon, my two friends and I went to this shop to purchase breakfast. We called ahead of time and made our order. My male friend went up to the man at the counter to pick up his order. When approaching the man, he had a VERY horrible attitude. He was being extremely rude and slapping money on the table as my friend was trying to pay him. The remaining balance was .64 cents, and without realizing, my friend went to walk away. The man spitefully yelled «YO!» to catch my friend’s attention and barked at him to pay the .64 cents. We all walked out of the store, and myself, being frustrated, decided to go back in to let them know that it was very unprofessional to treat customers in such a way. When I walked back inside and calmly told the employee that his interaction was rude, he responded with «Man, get the fuck out of my face.» I was and still am shocked and appalled by his reaction. The woman tried her hardest to be polite and courteous, but the man, who happened to be her son– was absolutely horrendous. My friends walked back into the store to see what was going on, and the man continued to say variations of «shut the fuck up», «do you have a fucking problem», «do something about it then.» My female friend asked the male employee why he was speaking to a female like that and he continued to yell at her saying, «shut the fuck up!» My male friend walked over to the male to sit down and speak with him, and the employee started charging at him and pushing the female employee (his mother), screaming, «GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY MOM», trying to attack my friend and initiate a fight. My friend repeatedly kept telling him that he was not trying to fight, but wanted to explain how he cannot run a business while being so hostile towards the customers who are putting money into his business. I’m extremely dissatisfied with this service, when I was solely just trying to explain to him how inappropriate it is to treat a customer with such angst, but he just continued to escalate the situation. He came from behind the counter, trying to push my friend and other customers had to get in between them.

Perfect local spot for fresh food. The HOBOs and all their variants are absolutely delish. Prices are super-​reasonable. The staff is friendly, prompt, and diligent. What more can you ask of a neighborhood mainstay?
