History

Established in 2008.

ASU Divers got started when my father Paul Spielvogel (Staff Photographer for Shark Diver Magazine) got me into diving at 12 years old. I worked my way up the diving chain and starting help to teach the SHSU College scuba program at age 18 as a PADI Divemaster. 2 Years later I received my PADI Instructor’s license and Adam’s Scuba University was born!

I started scuba at age 12 when my Father Paul Spielvogel got me certified as an SSI Instructor. I got my PADI Advanced certification a year later. PADI Rescue Diver at age 15. PADI Divemaster at 18 and Full PADI Scuba Instructor at age 20. It has been a fun ride!

Aside from teaching Scuba, I also teach Helicopter Underwater Egress Training. If you’ve ever wanted to see what it’s like to crash in a helicopter and see if you could survive it… I can teach that TOO!
