Bay Seafood Grill & Steakhouse

Batter is flavorless, cake is pre made, perhaps bought from a SAMs club and resold here. I got 2 different things, fried shrimp and fish and their shrimp fried rice. Hearty portions but be prepared to bring your own seasonings while your there so you can sprinkle them over your seafood and rice… Just to add taste.

This is a good restaurant for take out. I never dine in before. It is located not to far from my neighborhood. So it’s a great place to pick up take out when I am unable to cook. I am not to fond of the fried seafood. I tried it, and my opinion of it is that it is ok. The shrimp fried rice, Boudin Balls and fried zucchini are good.

Im sorry i need to be honest. My husband and I came here thinking it was like what everybody rated it for. This is barely a 2 star restaurant.
My husband chose to order a grilled seafood fettuccine alfredo but the waitress said they dont have the entrée. So he went with what I ordered which was the lobster tail. The waitress went to the back and punched in our order. 2 mins later she came back and said… We only have 1 lobster tail. Mind you, the time is now 5pm. Sometimes its good when restaurants run out of food because this indicates that the fridge is stocked everyday. So he asks the waitress if they have anymore of the scallops but they ran out of that as well. At this point we were just going to get up and leave. We were thinking positive thought and hoping that they have something for my husband. He settled with 2 fried fish, 6 fried shrimp and oysters. Fortunately, they have it.
Our appetizer, 20 boiled shrimp in garlic butter flavor was the only thing that saved us from walking away. It was decent and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Then our entrees came in. TLC! One last lobster tail and it was overcooked! It was a wanna be pappadeaux! I really do feel bad for the lobster and the cook who triple killed it! Again TLC, thats all it needed. The butter flavor overwhelmed the lobster and dirty rice. Im not sure if they were using it to cook the food or if its a sauce.
Bathrooms have a musty smell and are disgusting!
This maybe harsh for your liking but, I was expecting so much more from the restaurant because of the 4 stars people were leaving on here. Usually I would agree with the reviews, but someone has to tell the truth. I wont recommend it nor will we come back to this restaurant again.

Wow found this place on Unilocal and so glad we went. This a a very casual. We ordered fried oysters, salmon salad, salmon dinner, chicken fried steak and a cup of gumbo. Everything was delicious and large size portion. Make the effort to go here.

The food is great 90% of the time. Really wish they would put as much love on the exterior appearance of the restaurant as they do in their food. The fried oysters are the best I have ever had! Highly recommended!

This place is amazing!!! Everything on the menu is a must try… I’ve been coming here for years and I will be there today.

My husband and I stopped in here 4 the first time. The food was good, not bad 4 the price. We were passing through on way home 2 Dallas, Tx. We would come back.

We have eaten at bay seafood for many years. Nothing fancy just great food at a good value! The freshly grilled vegetables are outstanding! Nothing frozen here. Jumbo shrimp, gumbo, oysters, fish, are all wonderful. Everyone I have ever sent here were impressed with the food and the value. Definitely a hidden jewel !

Very close to home’ good shrimp fried rice and fried catfish. I like the crawfish here too.

So gross and creepy inside. We hated the food and will never go back. My daughter even says ewww when we drive by. Definitely don’t recommend.

I had a steak here and it was soooo good! It was an 8 oz ribeye and some shrimp and veggies were served with it.

Service wasn’t that great. food was ok, but when my order was served wrong, I was expected by staff to accept blame without even an offer for a free drink or something (is this asking too much?).menu miscommunication caused me to order wrong and I couldve been at fault, but as a customer I’m always right, right?

My mother and I couldn’t decide where we wanted to eat. So, we were going to «wing» it and stop my the first restaurant we saw. This place was dead; we were the only customers there. The server didn’t know much about the menu and he didn’t check on us often or gave us drink refills. We ordered the grill salmon and grilled seafood. The seafood was very salty (too much seasoning) and the veggies reminded me of the frozen veggie bags you get from Walmart. No matter how you cook it, it always turns out way too soggy/​mushy. The rice didn’t taste all that great either. I was disappointed and I will not return.

Food is like Baytown Seafood, haven’t tried gumbo. Try it later.

Bay seafood has several great dishes my favorite are the grilled salmon… also the stuffed snapper the come with great steamed vegetables and a side salad great healthy dish without holding back flavor… I’m only there briefly cause I usually pick up for work… the food is definitely worth the money…

I just went there tonight for the first time. Very good food. Service was decent. I’m just visiting my parents in Houston; they are die-​hard foodies and they seem to like the place well enough to visit regularly.
