European Star Motors

I started using European Star Motors a few years ago when my wife’s GL450 warranty ended.
Stefan and his staff have proven to be extremely knowledgable, punctual, and extremely clear about all work. The work has been done excellently and he has correctly disposed problems that Mercedes was trying to gouge me on. I find his shop to be a gem and I will continue to support.

i love my mercedes – we have two. i want them maintained (and repaired, when necessary) properly, at as reasonable a price as possible for a mercedes… that’s why we take both our cars to stefan, and have for years, after a brief stint at a dealership.
we have older model cars, now well out of warranty, and stefan keeps them both running great. there was a point we were thinking of selling one car because it had an expensive repair coming up. was it worth it?
he explained that at this point in its life it’d likely cost $ 1100 – 1500 a year to keep it running great. this is invaluable information (and cheaper than a car payment!). we kept the car, it’s running fine, and his estimate was correct!
he explains what the car needs to have done, and also explains what needs to be done NOW and what can wait. that level of service is invaluable to me. he’s honest and reasonably priced, and i recommend him highly.

Very very honest totally reliable

I have used Stefan for 10 years. He is honest and dependable not to mention the only shop in town that WILL NOT charge you to read the codes when you have a check engine light. Don’t know how the negative reviewer had such an experience doesn’t sound like Stefan at all. He has never tried to «up sell» me like the dealerships do. He’ll tell you exactly what you need breaking things down by what is needed to be safe and what is a“nice to do” if you have a budget. I refer to him and will continue to do so

I have had my C240 repaired and serviced several times at European Star Motors and have been more than satisfied. I only took my Mercedes to dealers to get my car serviced and repaired previously to going to European Star Motors. I enjoy the experience much better. Stefan is much more authentic than the phonies at the dealership and my car gets fixed correctly the first time and costs a lot less. They have had plenty of opportunity to over charge and and they have never done it. I highly recommend this repair shop.

Do NOT trust this shop, the owner «Stefan» lies. DISHONEST!
–My BMW x3 was having trouble with the Air Conditioning. One side would come out cold the other warm. Next couple of days wasn’t working.
–Took it to Sears Car Repair, to have the tank refilled (Being 6 years old, thought that was the problem). They checked for leaking told me the tank was almost empty so they refill it.
–A.C worked properly for 4 days or so when it start having problems again.
–I decided to take it to European Star Motors because I had a business card from Stefan that someone placed on my windshield. Thought being old and all would be good to have it done there.
— I met Stefan, explained my problem, he acted very friendly and «honest» and said he will check it.
–He calls me says it does have a leak and I had to change many parts (I even mentioned the sears guy told me he saw no lickings and I remember well telling him the problem might be in the front part of the AC like a lose hose or so.
–So he says it is $ 2800 in repairs– and after thinking it so much and being mad for buying this stupid car– I agreed to it.
–Picked my car and seemed to be fine 2 days after I see all the air coming out– from the front. So I called him right away (furious).
–Took the car to his shop again, waited for couple of hours, he tells me now the problem is the radiator or ventilator (I don’t remember the name) and it would be another 2000 dlls but he was so kind he wouldn’t charge me his labor.
–I was furious and tried to explain him how if he fixed then he tells me this? like if a plumber goes to your house repairs a leak for 50 and then second day you have a flood you call him back and he tells you the main problem was the sink and it would be an additional 60! Seriously I was in such shock i left. (That day he refilled the tank again).
–Magically or not magically the AC kept working. Gas didn’t go out. until this morning! After 2 months or so–
–I called him today and he denied it all and said that broke after etc.
He is a liar and I was so stupid to throw away the pieces he gave me that he supposedly change.
I am sad and regretful and impressed how that an can sleep at night being a complete dishonest and rude.

Bad experience, but was given a partial refund. Apparently the owner was out of town at the time my repair was done. He called to apologize, and obviously takes his customer service seriously.

«Sir, while I was changing the oil, I noticed the gasket on the [insert doohickey here] needs to be replaced and it will cost you $ 1,000,000 with labor, of course.» Did you know that Mercedes-​dealer mechanics work partially on commission? Yep! They have every incentive to steal your money to line their pockets with some extra cash.
Well, I am an idiot. Because I bought a Mercedes, knowing full well the repairs could become expensive. Who knew a semi-​green, 4 cylinder gas-​saver with a high-​mileage reputation would end up so unreliable and put such a dent in my wallet? Fortunately, this place helps alleviate that pain. It is run by a European Mercedes-​taught expert (Stefan), who is not out to gouge you. His rate is $ 84/​hour, which is very competitive for an expert Mercedes mechanic and he is fast and accommodating.
