Love this place! Chelsea was absolutely awesome! The food was great, killer Cuban press sandwich and good draft beer line up. All that was fine, but most importantly I met the absolutely most adorable woman there. Seriously could go on and on about great service, decent dj after 10, fun atmosphere, but this was mostly about her. 5 stars. ;)

Waitstaff weren’t hired for their brains. Usually the crawfish is what we come for. They’re usually delicious and huge. Today they were mediocre at best. Small and squishy took up most of the space on my plate. Also super slow to get check to even get out. Come a few times since that first time. Still noticeably awful waitstaff. Also managed to get my table bussed while I was sitting at it. Sprayed with cleaner and he took off with my tea and never brought me another one.

The flying pug is a great pub restaurant. They allow smoking there so it won’t suit everyone, but the staff are great and attentive the food is good typical pub food and the atmosphere there is great for sporting occasion. It’s a place they remember you and welcome new comers with a typical friendly Texas welcome. If you want real pub this is it give it a go

Stopped by Flying Pug on a Sunday afternoon for a drink. Ended up staying for a while and sitting out watching a cornhole competition. Overall the drinks were good and the service was fast. I did not use the waitstaff, instead opting for walking to the bar myself. I like to see my drinks being made rather than trusting that they will be made correctly. Nothing personal. The bartenders did an excellent job remember me, my drink preferences and picking me out of the crowd. It did help that I introduced myself and got their names when I opened my tabs. I would definitely go back.

I visited this location a few times when it was On The Rox but had been in since the change. I came in on a Sunday night at 7 and while it was definitely busy it wasn’t too crowded. I ordered the queso as an appetizer and as a self proclaimed queso aficionado I give it a thumbs up. The reason I came was for crawfish. We got extra spicy and they were great. There was also sausage, potato and corn. At $ 4.99/lb they were the best I’ve had in the Spring/Woodlands area. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat. Sara was our waitress and she was great. It was a little smoky but not overbearing. One big bonus is 360 big screen tv’s around the entire bar. That’s a huge bonus for sports.

Horrible customer service. We waited 45 minutes and eventually had to call the manager to get us a server. Flat bread was ok, chicken parm was ok, best thing here was the crawfish! They were a little small but wow they were flavorful. I didn’t like all the smoke in the air so all in all it was ok, but we won’t be running back anytime soon. Place is very crowded and not really a place you can enjoy food. This place is more of a bar with horrible service.

I’ve been here quite a few times and it’s a Great bar for a good time with friends or just to socialize and meet new people. Awesome food for a bar and that include crawfish which is something like $ 2.75/lbs on Mondays! You can play songs on the jukebox from your phone if you download the app. and they have a DJ on the weekends. I like to hang out on the patio if it’s smokey inside.

Used to be called On The Rocks, until they over served someone, they got on i-45, and they kill some people. I don’t know if it’s the same owner and they just change the name or what but it’s pretty much the same place. I usually only go on the weekends and they play music that keeps the place happy usually hip hop. It’s a nice environment, there is a dress code but it’s basically saying no white t-shirts or jerseys… it’s definitely not a place you’re going to get super dressed up to go to however, you’re not going to walk in there looking like you just came from the gym either.

Run Forest Run!!! Unless your a regular stay away. Stopped by on a Saturday for lunch, we sat ourselves. We got our own menus. Waited 10 minutes for a waitress… and she acted pissed we were there. Waited 10 minutes for drinks… and they were all wrong. 30 minutes in we finally got to order food. Somehow the food was out in like 10 minutes and it was great! I’m not really sure how the service was so bad. There was like 10 people there and 3 waitresses. One was setting up for a big party for a Alabama game, one was hanging out sitting with her friends at a table, and the other was our waitress which was also the bartender… and she obviously hated being there. Two stars for the fast kitchen and good food. But won’t be back.

Have given this place a couple of tries before reviewing. Like other reviewers stated, service was less than average and we were at a table. Food isn’t bad, the wings, fries, chicken tenders, and Cuban sandwich were great. I find the prices to be a bit high for what you get. Atmosphere is mediocre, smoking is permitted inside and it’s pretty prominent. Beware of the crowd, after game time/later in the night there are some questionable patrons. Overall, average place to watch the game.

It’s a chill place with cheap beer. However, with all the smoking going on it becomes unbearable. Smoke gets in your cloths and its way to much.

I really liked place until last night. They have $ 2.25 crawfish on Monday nights, so I came to watch The Rockets game. We had been here for a couple of hours, ate several pounds of crawfish, and drank a few beers. After a while, a horrible storm brewed in our area. We were getting numerous alerts on our phone saying our neighborhood, surrounding roads, and access roads were flooding. Mind you, this is a storm that has killed 14 people so far. We had about two pounds of crawfish left on our table when we asked our waitress if we could get a to-go box, as we were trying to get home as soon as possible to avoid more flooding. She told us she couldn’t, since the $ 2.25 special was dine in only. We spoke to a manager who told us we could take the crawfish to-go, but he would have to charge us full price. I agreed, since I was desperately trying to leave. I was really upset with this, since we had already eaten several pounds and its not like we were trying to find a loop hole in their promotion. This was a real emergency. This storm flooded all of Houston. They could really work on their customer service skills. Is the extra $ 2.75 for the pound really worth losing a regular customer?

First time at The Flying Pug was a success. Had heard from a few people that this was a decent local spot with good crawfish so we decided to give it a try. Nice big, clean place with excellent service. It was a slow night but our server was attentive, food came out in a reasonable amount of time, beer was cold, and pricing was ok. We ordered a flat bread, crawfish and a cali-burger. The flat bread was delicious much to my surprise. Normally it isn’t something that would be my first pick but I would for sure order it again. My husband said the Cali-burger was ok. It really wasn’t anything to do with the burger itself, I think it was just a little out of his comfort zone. I ordered the crawfish– delicious! It was the perfect amount of heat, corn and potato were great, the crawfish were almost all decent sized and they were only $ 4.99lb. We also had a great interaction with the manager who took time to go over a bunch of the menu items with us. I love the Cajun menu and I hope to be able to try a few more things before crawfish season is over. Good first run, we will definitely be back.

Came here the other night with friends to celebrate a birthday & had a nice time. Walking up to the door, I didn’t expect this place to be so big inside. Plenty of space for all. The DJ was alright & he kept the vibe going. Not sure if this is all the time, but the night I was there it was Coyote Ugly night! The waitresses were on the bar breaking it down! LOL Prices were pretty fair & they have a good selection of beers & liquors. Crowd was friendly & service was ok. I’d check it out again if in the area.

Stopped in here with my buddy Jay after a warmachine tournament at the nearby Fat Ogre game store, we both needed food and something to drink and this was recommended due to the happy hour and $ 3 beer and you call its(on everything but top shelf). Food here has a high salt content, like ridiculously high and it was okay. I had the chicken fingers with ‘seasoned’ french fries, their honey mustard was more mustard than honey. Jay got the fish(though he ordered fish tacos, he got straight fish instead) and he stated it was heavily salted/seasoned as well. The service was friendly when it noticed us sitting in the middle of the empty bar, most of the light evening crowd seemed to be hugging the window booth seats or the bar. The girls and the staff all seemed to be really active, but only around the bar or with carrying things upstairs behind the giant tv screens. The Shiner came cold and refreshing in a clean glass. I have to say it was the freshest and cleanest I’ve ever tasted at a bar. They must keep the pipes and hoses really clean. They have an extended ‘Happy Hour’, though how Shiner isn’t considered a domestic in Texas still blows me away. The beer is cold, but I’d stay away from the food unless you really need to eat before you drink.

Happy Hour 11 – 8 daily. Also BOGO deals on food. Yummy looking food and menu. Bartender lady very friendly. ATM inside by the door and TV’s up on the walls. Use to be «On The Rox». Smoking allowed but wasn’t very smoky also not crowded tonight. Personally would only be able to come on slower nights because of the smoking. If you don’t care about smoking probably 4 star. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Will be back.
