The times I have been the food was fresh it’s was someone checking to make sure that the food was fresh employees were very friendly except for our waitress she never spoke to us.

I hate this place. I would not recommend this place to anyone if they were expecting a nice place to eat at. The workers are lazy, all they seem to do is sit around and talk. The tables are dirty. There’s a line full of people waiting to eat, and the lady says all the tables are taken but when me and my family walked in I saw a lot of dirty tables and trash on the floor. There wasn’t many food to eat & the counter was dirty, some were empty & some looked like someone grab it by there hands. There was food on the ground. I am disappointed, it was a waste of 50 dollars.

Grosses GC I’ve ever been to. Never Again. Went for breakfast and every time I went to get something they were out of it. If you’d like fighting for your breakfast food this is the place to go

Typical golden corral. Decent food. Way too packed. But I love the meatloaf :) the prices are a zlittle high for what I would want to spend on a buffet that is only mediocre and furrs was way better, but since it isn’t around anymore, golden corral will do!

Usually this place is great place to eat but not tonight. The waiters were rude. Our waiter was an exception and was very helpful. The food service was poor. To begin with, getting a plate and utensils was a task. It took over five minutes to get a plate and fork. On most visits there is wait on the steak. Tonight a lot of entrees and other food items were empty. Even though there were managers on duty, they seemed unable to correct the problems.

Overall, I like the Golden Corral chain. This location has a good selection of food and the vegetables are generally well prepared and seem fresh. For example, the broccoli and brussel sprouts had a nice crunch(not mushy). The carrots were a bit soft but were tasty. I was glad to find that they didn’t put the carrots in a sauce as some buffets do. Most of the trays were full of food, except the Italian sausage with peppers with onions. They didn’t replenish the sausage in the empty tray for the entire 50 minutes I was there. And I like Italian sausage. That was disappointing. The fried chicken is excellent. The problem with this location is the lack of availability of the steak. People(including me) kept walking over to the steak prep area and there was a person there preparing a single steak. He told people to come back in ten minutes. When people would come back, there would be another single steak on the grill and we were told to come back in 10 minutes. Yes, there is plenty of tasty food at the restaurant but Golden Corral does emphasize the availability of steak and the way they handle the steak prep here does frustrate the customers. One person said to me «I just came for the steak.» The price is good, but their handling of the steak left a bad taste in my mouth. I probably will not be coming back for that reason. Oh, sorry. I should compliment the wait staff for his prompt plate removal and checking in from time to time to see if we needed anything.

It is a buffet, they give a great price for school groups, which is why I go there. Taking students to places that are cheap with lots of choices is a win win. They can get large groups of people fed quickly and cheaply. The food is just ok, clean, good servers, dirty dishes would be the main negitive.

Good was good but the plates shouldn’t be used anymore. Dishes were dirty. Servers were nice. Food was fresh though… prices are ok.

GC hosted the veterans today. Veterans of every kind were here. A very special Honor Guard presented the colors in a very short and awesome ceremony. Lots of comarade between vets shaking hands with each other.

The food wasn’t to the standard of other golden coral locations. My wife looked at me during the meal and said the food was bad compared to the GC in Beaumont.

Terrible! Dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever been in. The food is ok but the clientele is horrible!

Disgusting! Everything is dirty, especially the ladies’ room. They flipped up chairs so they would not have to clean two tables; the chairs blocked the walkway and caused me to trip and scrape my leg.

At the beginning of June 2015, I was visiting Houston, Texas from California. I wanted to eat barbecue food at a buffet restaurant. My friend took me to the Golden Corral in Spring. I was surprised to see such a great food selection and excellent service at this restaurant establishment. They had everything you could imagine such as Mexican, Chinese cuisine including ham, fried chicken, ribs, coleslaw, a salad bar, ice cream, deserts, etc. Drinks however, are extra. I ate so much to my heart’s content. I would highly recommend this place if you’re traveling to this area.

OMG! I went here today bc my cousin begged me bc I’m not a buffet person, but it was his turn to pick our Sunday dinner spot. So we go and get our food and have a seat, well about 15 minutes into it I needed to go to the restroom. I go and get to the sink and there was NO hand soap… All of the container are completely empty. Omg I’m furious,., I just sat here and ate this nasty ass food that none of there worker or patrons has washed their hands. Jesus take the wheel!!! I rinse my hands and immediately asked for the manager which I was led too. I informed him and he said he would get right to it. But my spirit was not settled. So I asked for another manager and my waiter went to get him, but again I couldn’t sit still with disgust. I get my receipt and card and head to the front of the store for a refund. I explained the situation to the cashier and told her i wanted my money back. She said she understood and she would take care of it. I took my seat and waited… 30 seconds later Mohamad another store manager comes and slams my card and receipt on the table and said«you have been here over an hour and im not giving you nothing back»”. WTF!!! Are you kidding me right now??? I told him YES he would since i was subject to his unsanitary restaurant. And if I had known before eating my plate of nasty ass food that nobody had washed their hand i would have never sat down. We continue to have word and he grabbed the phone to call the police bc i wasn’t going to let his rude ass make me wrong for wanted to eat in a somewhat clean involvement. But he was so determined too make me wrong for caring that his worker and nasty ass patrons didn’t give a damn. NEVERWILL I EATTHEREAGAINANDALLOFYOUNEEDTOKNOWWHY!!! I will be calling the corporate office and the health department first thing in the morning. My bill was a whooping $ 32 dollars and he chose to make me wrong, instead of doing what was right! Oh! I waited for the police 30 minutes and they never came… Imagine that. I knew i didn’t want to go there for more reasons than one, follow your first mind. And to Mohammad I’m coming for you buddy. You messed with the wrong one!!!

This place isn’t as great as when they first opened a few years back. I ate here with my parents cause my dad wanted to try the catfish. We were greeted by an African American guy advertising something, but he said, «Bienvenido.» I said hi in English, but in my head I was wondering why he said it in Spanish. After getting our food, the staff guy assigned to our seating area said something in Spanish. At first, I thought he was talking to someone at the booth next to us, when I realized he was talking to my dad. I told him that we didn’t speak Spanish. He apologized and said whatever he said earlier in English. I’ll go on a little soapbox here. I’m sorry. I get this is Texas(born and raised here), and I’m Filipino, so sometimes people confuse me as some other Asian or Hispanic nationality, but please don’t assume that I am either. Your safest bet is to just speak English then adjust, if needed. Ok, soapbox over. They had pork ribs today, which were good. They had original, chipotle, and some other flavor. My dad liked their fried catfish. The mac and cheese is good, not too salty or bland. They always seem to run out of mashed potatoes and hardly refill the tray. I got a baked potato instead. They offer baked sweet potato and sweet potato fries as an alternative. The salad bar has a variety of leafy greens, but be aware because some of them are wilted. I’d hate for anyone to get food poisoning or something. I had salad at a CiCi’s in Atascocita a few years back and got food poisoning. Needless to say, I haven’t set foot in a CiCi’s since then. The chips and queso are yummy. The queso has a little spicy kick to it. For kids, the mini corn dogs and steak fries are good. The buttery rolls are soft and a little sweet. For dessert, there’s a variety of ice cream, cakes, mini pecan pies, and bread pudding. The highlights of the desserts are the chocolate fountain and cotton candy. I don’t eat here often, but it’s ok if you want a variety and are in the mood to eat a million different things. It’s only $ 1 cheaper for senior citizens(60 yrs and above) — $ 10.99. Otherwise, it’s $ 11.99 for an adult buffet. Drinks are $ 2.29. Too expensive for what it is. You’re better off getting a meal you’d enjoy for $ 10 – 12.

Went about 7:30 on a Tuesday. Floor was dirty, hardly any food on the buffet. Employees looked miserable what food that was out was dryed out. Won’t be returning to this restaurant it was gross. Big disappointment $ 30 for two people what a waste.

Disgusting. Stay away if you care about your health. We came at 1:45pm, and a line to the door, with only one cashier working. Waited 15 –20 mins to get a table. This place screams health code violations. I am surprised that this place hasn’t been closed down. All the staff look like they hate their jobs. We had a booth in the corner near the bathrooms, and it smelled like stinky feet and urine. Almost like a pig pen like odor.(Dad was a farmer haha) Went to the buffet three times to scrounge for food; and came back with soggy tacos and watered down Mac N cheese. Everyone looked miserable. Something has to change or someone is going to get sick. The largest stall in the ladies bathroom had a pile of toilet paper so high it reached the toilet seat. what the hell Golden Corral.

This was the first time that I have ever been to a Golden Corral… and wow, the food is just downright terrible! The service was ok, the facility was clean, and I thought the theme and layout were cool… but once I started eating, it just went straight downhill. GC advertises having 150 items on their buffet, and I think it is safe to say that all 150 items are subpar. EVERYTHING I tried was no good… the«New Orleans» style blackened fish, for instance, tasted like flavorless rubber. Officials in New Orleans should send a cease and desist letter and demand that GC stop using the city’s name to describe such a horrendous dish. The salad bar ingredients were not so fresh, and the accompaniments were bland and unappetizing. The Chinese«Wok» did no justice to that genre of food. The bourbon chicken had an odd roux-like taste to it and the lo mein was basically just egg noodles with some kind of weird mango sauce or something on it… and the chocolate fountain of filth… well, just stay far away from that cesspool of recirculating germs. Even the garlic cheese biscuits were no good. How do you mess up garlic and cheese on a buttermilk biscuit? BOTTOMLINE: I will NEVER eat at a Golden Corral again. I would rather spend the rest of the day starving.
