This past week I had two pairs of boots cleaned-​up (heel caps, polish and condition). While the boots were both ready when suggested and looked very good. The overall experience could have been better.
For starters, it appeared as if I was putting the guy out when dropping off my boots and further making the guy’s life problematic when picking them up. To boot (yes, pun intended) the total for the service was $ 90 bucks. Now, I know my boots are Lucchese and cost a little more than other’s, but the polish, heel caps, and typical leather conditioner are not sourced directly from Tiffany’s.
The price coupled with the less than warm, inviting, thank you for your new business reception makes me wish I would have gone out of my way and driven over to fm1960 by and taken the boots to Jesse’s Shoe & Boot Repair. True that area of 1960 is not the best part of town… at least you you are fully aware when you’re getting robbed over there. Seriously. this is not a plug for Jesse’s other than to say. he does a great job for less month and appreciates business.

I came here to get a stain removed from a leather bag. The employee directed me to use two products — a cleaner and a conditioner. I was a bit hesitant about this because I had thought they could clean it for me. He said if it didn’t work, to simply come back and «we’d figure it out.» Relying on his expertise, I tried the first product thoroughly to no effect. Upon returning back, a different employee told me that he could not return either of the products, but they could take a look at cleaning it. When I asked about «figuring it out,» he told me that he didn’t know what conversation the other employee had with me. So, now I have a stained leather bag and $ 20 in leather cleaning products I can’t use. Thanks for nothing!

Absolutely love this place! If u have shoes you care about and only want in the best hands this is the place! Came in today after I stepped in mud in my brand new favorite boots and Juste saved me on site! Made my day! And saved my boots. They look brand new again! Thank you Juste for always giving your best and being so sweet!

Third time going in, and I won’t be back. Each time, the guy at the counter has been rude for no apparent reason and basically said that my stuff isn’t worth the cost of repair, even when it’s been a nice designer-​label leather bag. I’ve been told that they can’t even fix what I’m asking them to, but each time, I’ve been able to go home and do the work myself. Plus their prices are exorbitant! Never again.

Poorest customer service! took a diaper bag in for repair and not only was it very sloppy and looked horrible, I was treated worse when I complained. wanted another $ 30 to fix what they screwed up? I don’t think so… NEVER go here.

I brought my shoes in and talked directly to the owner. Asked him to fix my heels, which were very scuffed. Came back a 1 ½ weeks later to pick up. He repaired the tip of my heel and the toe. None of these were what I asked for. The cost for those repairs was $ 30. Told me what I wanted wasn’t «on the ticket». He never apologized for not fixing the scuffed heel. Offered to fix them for $ 80. But went in the back and spray painted my taupe heel a brown non-​matching color. After a very heated exchange he finally told me he didn’t want me to «complain» and didn’t charge me for replacing either the tips or the toe. Yet I ended up paying $ 14 to get my shoes back. My fault, I was overwhelmed with adrenaline. I left feeling like I was on the short end of this consumer and proprietor exchange. Be careful. Ask for a cost list and be EXTREMELY detailed about what you want. You never know what will be written down on the ticket.

I was pretty happy w/​the results I received. I took in a pair of boots that were EIGHTEEN years old. Had them oiled, cleaned up & stretched. Good service, quick service, reasonable prices. I would return & recommend.

Terrible. Was charged $ 5 to glue down a piece of the insole and when I got home I found it was not done. Took two pair of boots in and after waiting a week second pair was not done and I was told it was going to take 5 more days. Will go back to Woodlands Shoe Hospital next time

Took a pair of shoes in to replace the heels. Had the sole and heels replaced, and the shoes reconditioned. They look great — and I was offered a fair price. The job was done on time and Juste — the person I spoke with was friendly and informative. Will be back for sure.

I have been in this shop twice, and each time I got the super hard sell. Show them what you want, and you are told you need the top of the line repair or replacement. I said I was looking for a cost effective and lower cost option, and was lectured to that was a poor decision and I would regret it. I am obviously a dummy not knowing anything about shoes! Once you agree on a repair method, then you get more cost add on options — shoe polishing, supplemental treatments, etc, or are told that you need more repairs. Walked out the second time and went to The Woodlands Shoe Hospital.

I took my $ 2400 Louis Vuitton handbag up there for cleaning and they screwed it up so bad! Please don’t take nothing to these people to clean they sick especially Jus sorry azzz! Bad bad bad bad bad customer service! The suck for real

Took my western boots in for a cleaning and oiling. I was impressed with their efficient customer service, clean facility and the end result. I’m so pleased at the job they did refurbishing my boots! Have already returned with a second pair for stretching. Very pleased with my overall experience. Plus, they are the only place that can re-​heel your shoes with breast cancer pink heels!!! Love that!

Talk about used car salesmen mentality!!!
I buy a groupon that says refurbish purse or bag. Not towards refurbishing.
I tell them I have a groupon he takes my purse and says that will be &65 you can deduct the $ 20 of the groupon.
I look at the groupon again to confirm the way it’s written and say never mind based on the principle. He gives me my purse. I go down the street to the Woodlands shoe hospital that does amazing work and I’ve been going to forever. I ask him how much is it to refurbish this purse. He says $ 15!!!
Everything he has done of mine has looked brand new afterwards and he’s always reasonable. I won’t be going back to

I brought my husband’s US Navy leather shoes for a shine and diagnosis, as it seemed to need some work. After careful examination, the helpful staff told me it needed new heels, new soles and complete refurbishing. The friendly person behind the counter completely sympathized with my urgency to get it taken care of ASAP and offered to put a rush on it. He spoke about his love for his job and it truly showed. I’m SO glad i found the Houston Shoe Hospital on Unilocal!Thank you!
